That would be your opinion. Actually he did ok, but was far from experienced. That said, he will m as he a great mate in very near future if he keeps learning, and keeps great work ethic he has.
@@marktwained poorly worded question on my part. One barge in front of boat then 2 sets of side by side barges connected to the one barge in front. Since there is only one barge in front, not 2 like the rest, does that change how it all maneuvers?
No struggles here. Now I’ll have to go back and listen to myself. I may have been occupied watching the sights while making my approach, but I’m all good. 👍🏻
Couldn’t pass physical after breaking my neck, in freshman year (ninth grade) of primary school. I was coached by and dreamed of being a wrestling champion, before that injury cut my sports career short.
WE USED TO LIVE OUT ON THE ISLAND ESSMAN END SISTER AND BROTHER IN LAW HAD HOUSE DOWN ON ABLE END THEY SOLD 3 YRS AGO TIRED OF FLOODING NOW HAVE A PLACE UP ON ESSMAN END.
As far as working/driving boats I really prefer the Lower Mississippi.. and prefer south of Vicksburg, as it’s easy and wide. I do not like running any area regularly. I get bored quickly. 👍🏻🤷🏼♂️
Glad you got video back on the upper. Enjoy our beautiful wisconsin fall colors!!!
Cool video dude, nice job wheeling that thing up in there. Whats in the cargo? Does the grey one have something different than the rusty colored ones?
Very impressive and so much fun to watch. Thanks for sharing, Captain.
That guy was holding it down on the comms! You guys work great together, good work.
Debatable skill level of guy calling me into lock. He’s doing better, as he gains experience. I will say that.
Capt I was thinking dude out at the head if the tow done great work
That would be your opinion.

@@marktwained capt the other part is you slid right in there like no other
That was sweet capt no room for error awesome
Does the missing barge alter how the tow normally handles?
We have all our barges. There are none missing.
Normally handles? I’m not sure what you are implying.

Up in this video
How long do yall stay out before going home?
Anywhere from a week to six weeks.
Usually I ride about 30 days.
Please do a video when you make it to Lake Pepin. I love it up there!
Whoops, just saw that you are only going to Clayton!
Thank GOD for the Lock & Dams which are Required for Navigation. 🤔👍
How far up are you going
Clayton, Iowa. We are there at time of this posting.
I sure miss the river this time of year.
Nice work man ❤
Captain, you are big Oklahoma boy, did you play high school football?

@marktwained. What is your favorite spot along the Mississippi?
Lock 12 pool. Ski slopes for winter, and sand bars for summer. It is quite amazing and beautiful area… Lansing, Iowa area is close second. 👍🏻
