Getting there! Thanks for watching and for all of your support over the years! Wait - years?! Has it been that long already? Crazy!! Can you remember how many subscribers I had when you started watching?
I bought a similar tin from a garage sale. Had many Belgium/German/French coins. After documenting them all and spending a few weeks researching them. I brought them to my LCS and traded them in for silver bullion ;)
@@CADRollHunter I got 9ozt of silver rounds. Some coins were pretty old, from the early 1700's. None of the coins were in protectors or anything so they were all heavily worn.
Watching coin roll hunters on TH-cam got me into coin roll hunting, then seeing people find silver coins in the ground on reddit got me into metal detecting I havnt done any coin roll hunting in months, think I'm going to pick up some coins this week, maybe a bundle of quarters and a couple bundles of dimes and nickels, I could also get a loonies for laundry, I got a colour king Charles last time I got laundry loonies
Interesting! I've only ever seen references to the text as "Dutch," (Numista as an example), but I found a Wikipedia article that specifically says "Flemish Dutch" in the first reference, but as the article continues, it simply refers to the text as "Dutch" from then on. I'll remember this. Thanks for letting me know!
Canadian here Lots. Just lots, when I collect coins I keep all of my americans I find and within 6 months I saved $400 in usd coins, and I paid cad for it so I make ≈$200 from that.
Foreign coins are extremely neat, James! Getting closer to that milestone!

Wow! How much bullion did they credit you for? They must have some collectors that regularly buy their foreign coins.

Minor correction. Belgian coins are either in French or Flemish, depending on which part of Belgium they were issued in.

How often do you find U.S. coinage in change in Canada.
Canadian here

quite often, because of the exchange, i keep them and head south once per year and cash them in
Quite often in quarters and nickels, I don't know about dimes though
Thanks everyone, I hadn't realized the exchange rate had gotten that far apart
That's a lot of old silver
