      My brother JT. It sucks that you can’t make use of the new features in Logic 11 due to the MacOS requirements 😕
      There are some really nice features now included that make a great difference in certain aspects. However not all of my machines meet the minimum specs but I’m still banging out music on them and I’m sure you’ll be doing the same. So until such time as you upgrade you’ll still be making bangers irrespective. One love my bro 🙏🏾

    Why manual insertion of chords? Why can't we just drag and drop an audio file into the chord track and have it automatically analyze it? Not yet available?

    For some reason these virtual instruments .. in particular the bass for some reason is changing the octaves when I place the cycle function right at the beginning of the loop. I can't for the life of me figure out why it's doing this and I haven't seen anything about it anywhere online. Just leaving this here if anyone has any insight or has experienced this before. I'll create a midi part and it sounds fine .. then if I engage cycle at the first marker .. the instrument switches to a lower grouping of strings. It feels like a problem with Logic because I have no clue as to why that would ever be useful. Or why that would be some default setting. I love the sounds of these basses, but this may be a deal breaker using it if I can't solve it. I don't much care for the interface of Ez bass .. but I may have to go back to using it. 😭

      Yeah I have also found some inconsistent movement in the players at times. I’m sure this is being addressed by the Apple team and will hopefully be rectified in a future update. Hang in there my friend 🤞🏾

      @@MTTC I don't have the region as a virtual player either. It's simply midi I've tapped in with my keyboard on the 'Modern Bass' instrument. No virtual player. It's actually not changing octaves, it seems to be playing it on different strings when cycle is engaged it's goes from a brighter sound to a darker sound.. almost like the velocity is turned down. But I think it's just playing the same thing on a different region of the fretboard. Only doing this with the Modern Bass.. I tried other basses and it's fine. Very strange. I thought maybe there might've been some midi information from the keyboard it was trying to interpret .. glitching it. But it's consistent when I just recreate the midi by just dropping in the notes manually without the keyboard. I don't know.. no big deal though. Hopefully this gets worked out like you said. 👍🏻

    Thanks. Still struggling with entering chords, seems buggy, doesn't work quite how you describe😬

    If I take almost finished 3 minute song track has synths and vocals and arrangement and it needs matching melodic rhythmic bass and drums can I do it here basically automatically like ai matches spacing of chords and with ongoing varying notes in each bar over 3 minutes as a noobie? Like scaler 2 than Captain plug-ins or ezkeys to ezdrummer 3 add in ez bass? What’s the best easy way? Limiting sidechain noise ducking problems maximizing groove beat energy

      @MTTC  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for your questions. First of all I have not used any of the other plugins you have mentioned so I can’t comment on what they are capable of. However the Logic Session Players Bass and Keys are driven by your effective use of the chord track. This is what guides the players in the direction of your music progression. They will not analyse parts of a song as you have mentioned and then adapt to the direction of your preproduction. So I think you are unlikely to get the results you are looking for with these AI tools.

    You skipped the part how you even got Session Bass Player to play the exact note patter of your bassist. Or did original get this baseline patter out of Session Bass Player?

    • @MTTC
      @MTTC  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Session Bassist automatically comes up with basslines based on your chord progression. It is just awesome as you can then modify the playing using the parameters as shown.👍🏾

    • @musaicmixups
      @musaicmixups 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ But suppose I want to build my own bassline with automated assistants? Will Session Bassist play note for note of inputted MIDI?

  • @Matt-wc3we

    Can you use the new bass session sounds with a live bass?

    • @MTTC
      @MTTC  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Do you mean using a MIDI bass guitar to trigger the sounds? If so the yes definitely.
      If you meant playing a live electric bass and also having the session bass playing yes you can but you would need to work out different parts for each instrument to process their tones differently so create separation 👍🏾

    • @Matt-wc3we
      @Matt-wc3we 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So you can’t plug in your bass to your interface and use the rickenbacker or jazz bass virtual sounds?

    It is very cool how Logic’s technology has gotten to this point but I would much rather play the bass myself. I guess I’m old school. Thank you for this video.

    • @MTTC
      @MTTC  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Scott I couldn’t agree with you more. I love playing my bass guitar on my tracks. I suppose for those who don’t play bass or don’t have access to the instrument this is a great alternative. Cheers for your great feedback 👍🏾

    not bad for an AI bassist, but your lines, both on a bass or played with keys, had much better feel. But still an impressive tool.

    • @MTTC
      @MTTC  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it’s a really useful tool especially for someone who doesn’t play bass or have access to a bassist. With a bit of tweaking it is possible to come up with a very convincing bass line. But as we know nothing beats the human touch.
      Thank you so much for your great comment 🙏🏾

    Session drummer is amazing but session bass, IMO, is FAR harder to get sounding reasonably right, esp for pop music.

    • @MTTC
      @MTTC  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are absolutely right Mark. I believe in a few updates time the Bass Player and Keyboard players will have had a lot more development to make them far more useable. I am hopeful. Cheers😀🎸
