I’m a white Catholic, but the most welcome I have ever felt in my life was in a black church. I’ve attended several times through the years, and the people were the kindest church folks I’ve ever met.
If my focus is on people and feelings then I am missing out on the purpose to unite myself to the sacrifice of the Holy Mass. I find the Traditional Latin Rite so peaceful and rewarding. ... As a rule : parishioners try not to talk to each other in the Church out of respect to God and others who may be in quiet prayer. However... step outside and it's a lively interaction. I've never had better formed friendships that I can count on. Honestly, I say with all my heart... GOD is good and try the TLM.

In college I went to a predominantly black church, the service lasted 3 and half hours. and we ate afterwards That was for sure a culture shock to me. I grew up where the church was one hour. That was it.
This isn’t really a black vs white thing though lol it’s a Holy Ghost filled vs not thing. I went to ask white upci church that were like what you just described.

My father is a pastor. And he reached the same way for the last 45 years. I grew up in a Spanish Pentecostal church, and his preaching was always the in your face kind of preaching and that’s what I love about it!!

😂😂😂 as a white person this is accurate. My friend took me to their church once when I was little and there is definitely a difference between a white church and a black church. For instance white church last 1 hour maybe 1 hour 30 minutes a black church stay 4-5 hours at minimum I didn’t think we were ever getting out of church when they took me 😂😂😂😂 I was maybe 10 or 11 years old at the time. Great people though would definitely go back again loved it.
At a white church at a quarter till 12 people start shifting in their seats and looking at their watches.
