I love how this trailer is almost purely dedicated to showing off how the atmospheres in rockstar games are unparalleled. From the body cam footage and the social media videos, this game is gonna be special.
They really show that they are masters of the open world genre. Some games might do core mechanics better, but absolutely nobody can touch them in terms of atmosphere, design, and detail.

@@hasselettcheck the first red dead 2 trailer, trailer was a good representation of how the game looked, if this is how gta 6 is looking in 2023 cant imagine 2 years of polishing will make it look worse, even the leaks from last year showed promising footage and that was from an even earlier build
I'm beyond excited for the characters in particular. With what they did with Arthur Morgan and how in-depth his character was, I bet they're going to nail Jason and Lucia. I just hope they allow for a 'deathwish' type ending on this go-round as well because I'm all for optional happy endings.
What if they do that but it's an actual deathwish. Both characters stick together and die together. Would be thematically appropriate.
I feel like this story will end up Lucia being a cop or a rat. Usually gta trailer theme music gives you a idea of the story, this one seems like betrayal is coming.
the chemistry between the two leads feels so ripe for drama and madness, so cool to see Rockstar do a romantic couple as GTA lead characters, I think it's refreshing compared to the all masculine types they've done in the past (not saying I dislike their other protagonists, just that it's a smart move to mix it up).
As a South Florida native every aspect seems really well thought out. I love the attention paid to the less glamorous parts of the city. The dirt bike meet ups, the low riders, the fat men running from the police outside a Valero gas station. There’s a lot of culture in South Florida outside of the corporate elites and yacht parties. Cubans, Haitians, Dominicans, Jamaicans, “Florida Man’s”. All of it feels very much represented. It’s dope to see all the little things you’ve grown up around in a video game.
I've only been to Florida once, just Panama, and its extremely cool to hear from Florida natives how accurate this looks! Looks so cool, interesting and cultured. Love the graphical quality too!

The downfall of gaming is a combination of bad companies and people over blowing expectations. You literally do not know this whatsoever. For all we know it was just a cutscene. This happen to Cyberpunk for some stuff. People created post that talked about game mechanics that were never confirmed in the game, even having game devs so its not true. I trust the game will be great but don't promote things that haven't been confirmed

I’m really into the dual protagonists angle.
I’m really into the idea of starting out with the ultimate trust and respect between protagonists and fighting for it not to fade, versus gta5 being more about earning respect and trust. I never really felt the connection they wanted me to feel between Michael and Franklin but Trevor and Michael’s connection was compelling enough.
I’m also really into the fact that you look high as pie, Jake. I’m all for it.

Gta 5 story is the weaker of gta games. Best one was gta 4, the tone and endings are unmatched
As a South Florida Native, the recreation of miami was shockingly accurate. The view of the arena as you drive over the bridge and with skyscrapers in the background is iconic (for Miami) as it is the moment you are traveling from south beach into the brickell area. I'm so pumped to explore this recreation of Miami!
The dual protagonist thing works for me more here than the 3 protagonists from GTA 5 tbh. Probably because there will likely be better chemistry and more of a reason for them to be spending time together. Michael, Tevor and Franklin always felt like people who hated talking to each other and that gets on your nerves after awhile. I would say GTA6 has a lot of potential but keeping my expectations in check just in case.

I think it looks like they're really going to push density. More pedestrians, more cars, more wildlife, more buildings, more foliage and detail objects... just over all more stuff. I'm really hoping they also have made huge pushes with AI, having characters react better to your actions rather than just screaming and running around, especially considering Florida (Vice City) appears to have looser gun laws compared to say NYC (Liberty City) or California (San Andreas) so having civilians react in more ways would make it super interesting.
I'd love to see a meaningful story with great characters, I have little doubt that they will not knock this out of the park considering RDR2 and GTA IV (V was alright but it didn't really resonate with me at all, just a fun game more than anything).
You just made a great observation: open gun-carry laws in Vice City. What if you piss off a pedestrian and they pull a gun on you, and that causes other people to pull guns on you in a domino effect... Full-on gunfight/brawls in the streets!
@@tobiassoar Did you play GTA3? I think there was a cheat that made everyone armed and then you could make everyone super aggressive haha, my cousin and I used to see who could stay alive the longest.

Though I’m talking about something more dynamic. Perhaps the cops are very tactical in gunfights using cover and flanking, while civilians are messy and chaotic, maybe running away. RDR2 had some ok combat AI.
I hope that they take their time this time for the sake of the developer's well-being and the quality of the game. The crunch time on RDR2 shows between the various bugs that still haven't been patched and the cut content, Guarma being the most severe example.

In retrospect, I guess it was a inevitable because how long it took and how many mock-ups were made but it ended up looking exactly the same or almost identical fan logo that was already made.
The song choice was absolutely perfect. It’s an 80s song which the last time we saw Vice City was in the 80s. The couple in the trailer have a long road ahead of them being in love. Tom Petty is from Florida. And I also think there was a bit of self awareness in saying “yeah the game is taking forever but love is a long road it’s worth the wait.”

I love the lovestruck criminal vibe. I'd like to see them as genuinely in love but dangerously flawed (only discussing romance here). I want to want them to succeed but be worried they can't make it work
It's so different. But in a lot of ways, it also feels familiar. Whatever they're going for, I'm all for it.
I would love to see a something like how GTA IV handled its story. A real story and real characters with depth but also the usual crazy GTA shenanigans. I think theres real potential for that in a Bonnie & Clyde style story.

Something I’m personally excited for is what music choices Rockstar made in this game. The music was a big part of what made gta 5 memorable and enjoyable to me, so I can’t wait to see the music direction they took here.
I will miss Lazlow tho. He was the perfect goof😂😂😂

Considering this is their first big release post-RDR2, I'm VERY eager to see how they've innovated in terms of a GTA game. My biggest takeaways are: varied NPC body types and styles, different wildlife and biomes, and most of all the story and characters. Just the tiniest plot threads here make me excited to learn more about these protagonists.
5:30 I think the song choice was amazing for a first trailer because it’s literally been a long long road for us as fans from GTA5 to finally get SOMETHING for GTA6. by the time it comes out it will be like 12 years
Personally I respect and am always grateful for a good story but for me a game with depth and longevity in its world with hundreds of ways to play and places to visit depending on what kind of mood you're in when you get home from work is a lot more valuable, and I think rockstar always nails that aspect of their games and I am hoping for 6 to do so and MORE
If you watch Bonnie Clyde you can see they are all over the newspapers and Bonnie loved the fame so in the modern era news is spread across the internet people also gain fame from social media so they may build up support throughout the game from each robbery (theory)
Good theory it looks like Lucia ends up becoming internet famous from some of the shots, makes you wonder how the story plays out.

Honestly. Upload the scene of them walking in the liquor store in 720p and I woulda thought it was for some shitty up and coming rapper using their friends for B roll. That is the scene that I was most taken aback by.

I thought I was already subscribed to you, turns out I wasn't... (yes, I have now subscribed). Yes, I am into the dual protagonist and the dynamic. My hope was that they would take a page out of RDR for the story, being more weighty/gritty (though I have my issues with the execution of that in RDR). But yeah, a serious core to the story in a crazy world. I also wanted them to pull back from how BIG GTA 5's story was, and I wanted petty crime to feel more the focus, small crime, etc... that could be on the cards. I really was pleasantly surprised by how much of the trailer focused on the absurdity of the general population and the social media aspect. It makes sense in retrospect, but didn't expect the trailer to focus so much on it, and it makes me feel that they are really going to focus on the wider population and the cultural feel of Leonida.
The dual protag romance crime thing hasnt crossed my thought until you mentioned. Maybe when they show him (Jason?) more from his perspective. But the social media thing and population density fr got me excited from the first time I watched the trailer! Really wish the gameplay succeeds too!
I just think it's going to be GTA 5's three character system dialed up to 11, because Rockstar has 1 less character in the dynamic so they can pack even more detail into the two characters personal lives and what it's like when you switch between them
Yeah agree with you Jake about the whole Bonnie and Clyde love-esque plot. I’m usually opposed to more than one main character. I find that having more than one playable character we lose some character developments. But this whole love-plot. I am so down for! This puts R* to really focus on their dynamic. Let’s see where this goes!
I’m so in for the relationship ship aspect too. I want to see if there will be any branch choices on whether you can strength their relationship or maybe have them breakup. So many possibilities.

It's seems based on the 2022 leaks that there's a notoriety system descriptive of how you choose to play both the individual characters (cool or chaotic) and their relationship: romantic or pragmatic.
I am all for the dual protagonist thing. I think it will be really cool to see the story equally from both perspectives and see how the writing takes advantage of that.

There is still so much time for development to see what the final product would look like. It's really gonna be mind-blowing.
It would be so awesome if you could experience one side of an ambiguous relationship and then replay as the other protagonist to see what they were feeling. But if they somehow make couch coop possible, I will freak out. Whatever they have in store, I'm invested. That was such a fun trailer.
Even from this short trailer they really got across that sense of ride or die love. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen with these characters, everything about this looks incredible.

RDR2 was leaps ahead of GTA 5 in terms of world building and immersion. I cannot wait to see what GTA 6 has in store for us. To see that level of attention to detail in a modern world with a variety of settings, so cool.
I think playing as a couple could be very compelling. The quiet, intimate scene between those two characters encourages me that Rockstar devs will take themselves a little more seriously as storytellers this time, relying less on purile humor and hamfisted satire. I expect some of that to be in there, but it was way too prominent in GTA5. Gaming has evolved, and Rockstar has always been on the bleeding edge of that evolution. Hopefully, this time that means they'll tell a more mature tale that's more immersive and more interesting.
The humour is there for sure. I zoomed into the posters and the ads for prescription drugs, personal injury lawyers, and beer are all great (look at the sign in the door of the liquor store where it talks about cash). A serious story in an insane Florida/Vice City world is totally doable.

They already have masterful and mature story telling..Have you not played RDR2? They know how to write great stories. The nature of GTA as a series is PARODY and SATIRE. Of course it's gonna be full of comedy. And probably it will have some good story beats with the main character.
Agreed. RDR2 was a turning point in their path of more mature storytelling they've started with GTA IV imo. My biggest hope and concern with VI is that they continue in that direction and give us a scinere, in-depth story with vulnerable characters who grow and regress underneath all the satirical edge of the glitzy, hedonistic outer layer of Vice City. Even the satire itself I hope has more subtlety and cleverness to it, actually tackling certain topics. And less just your face nighlistic declarations of how vapid everything is like previous GTAs.
That would ruin the game. The point of gta is not to take things seriously, that's what it comes down to. You can make a great story but that's why rdr exists. Leave that bullshit out of this game
I've been a huge GTA fan since GTA London. I intentionally held off on reading or watching leaks and guesses for the past few years, because I didn't want to give myself false hopes or anything. Seeing it now for real, I'm definitely psyched. It's gonna be a long 2024!

Great insight and review Jake. I am mostly curious about two things, weapon use/storage and character/vehicle customization and saving. I loved how you could really make the guys in GTA V and Arthur and John kind of your own with clothing and weapon customization. I'm optimistic about the amount of customizing you'll be about to do with Jason and Luisa. Hopefully we can have options like choosing how many buttons to button on shirts, tucked in or untucked, sleeves rolled up or down, pant cuffs rolled up or rolled down, and have the ability to wear watches, earrings, and chains. I'm sure the sunglasses, shoe, and hat options will be endless. GTA V did that really well.
I'm wondering if they will include slings on rifles like RDR2 so you can quickly stow it on your back if necessary and if there will be any kind of internal holsters with handguns. Or will the duffel bags and trunks be the primary storage of larger weapons and what will be the extent of the carry limitation with those. I'm sure after RDR2 the shooting mechanics will be superb. It will be interesting if they abandon cover and just utilize crouching or keep both.
For the vehicle customization, I really hope they increase the varieties of just about everything. Bigger tire options, bigger wheel sizes, more wheel options, wheel spacers, diff exhausts actually significantly increasing the engine note, turbo AND supercharger capabilities, internal and exterior lighting options, etc.
Most importantly, like how you could take any horse in RDR2 and make it your primary with your saddle, PLEASE, FINALLY ROCKSTAR, let us make ANY car we want our default car that won't be lost into the abyss if we park it somewhere before starting a mission. That is actually the top of my list. It is so annoying to save up money and use it building a specific car that you can never really take on missions because it may be lost afterward or during. The impound garage concept glitched out all the time and was not a reliable failsafe. I really hope they fix the car storage issue to where you can make any one your primary and it never gets lost.
I am also interested in the dynamic of Jason and Luisa. I just hope they keep the dialogue genuine to Rockstar and funny without either person taking themselves too seriously. What made Arthur so beloved is he didn't take himself seriously at all. But he did take protecting the people he cared about seriously. I hope it's more of that in this game. I'm not really concerned about the story itself or any of that. Rockstar will deliver there without issue. I do wonder if we will be a part of Luisa and Jason meeting like Michael and Franklin and how controlling each character will be determined.
I love that you likened the crime romance to True Romance and Natural Born Killers. I just hope these two protagonists can match that tone and be interesting enough to see them do that crazy stuff we (the players) are going to have them do both inside and outside the story. They seem a little vanilla, especially the guy (Jason), on the surface. I know we’ve barely gotten a taste of them but that’s first impression off of what was shown. I’m hoping that a 3rd playable character is revealed down the road whose story intersects with theirs. A crooked cop or a federal agent would be cool. Or a gang member of some variety. Someone to insert a lil more Trevor into the story. Someone to justify the unhinged behavior us players like to get these characters into from time to time. Anyway, great vid.
Music choice was fire. The song tells a story of love and betrayal, fits perfectly with the theme of the trailer. Tom Petty being from Florida just makes it extra special. Plus it’s just an awesome rock song.
I love the flashy trailer and everything looks incredible, personally im just wondering how much of that we’re going to see in the final product. Are the NPCs going to really be that varied? Is their activity going to really be that random and different from each other? Are the streets and beaches and everywhere going to be that dense with people and cars? is the hair going to be that beautiful outside of cutscenes? That’s really what I want to know. Not saying that to be a downer or anything, I just don’t want to be excited for something that may just be for a trailer.
In terms of story… I’m so digging where this is going, and also, we’re FINALLY getting the very first female protagonist in a GTA game! So amazing to see! So excited! If they can do in this game what they did with the story in RDR2 I think we’re in for a wild and heartbreaking ride. I absolutely fell for Arthur the way I’ve never fell for a protagonist before, and I really hope they can make me love these two like that. To me it also looks like perhaps Lucia may be the aggressor in the relationship, kind of dragging Jason in with some emotional manipulation, but we’ll see. I just can’t wait to see how it turns out!

By the end of the game there could be a final showdown where the world is on fire and their relationship is at a precipice, and only one of them is getting out alive. Since they’re both playable they may make us choose who we side with. 😭 I’m ready for my heart to be broken.

Living in Florida and spending a lot of my life in Miami, I saw tons of local landmarks! I’m very excited to see my hometown in a modern game!!
I know it’s a bit superficial, but honestly I’m just happy to play as a scripted female character in a Rockstar game. It’ll be interesting to see how differently characters react, and having a whole wealth of new fashion choices too.
I’m 40 years old, I’ve been playing GTA since the 2D sky view era. I wasn’t this excited since Red Dead. For me it’s also about the story at this point, Ia wanna come home and just immerse myself in that world in a meaningful way. Also that’s why I come here to see your take on it. Mature approach, just down to earth. Keep it up. Much appreciated. Thanks for your effort and time. Let’s hope the movie references you quoted are somehow the inspiration for this.
Thanks for the video! You're the only one I've watched outside of the official trailer (about 8 times now). The setting and the density absolutely look next level. On top of that, the character and facial animations, with the addition of an absolutely excellent hair system, top tier camera work and cinematic flair, I'm actually blown away. And, like you, I'm truly hoping for something next level in the gameplay as well. It's really looking primed for something new and I'm insanely stoked. Wasn't expecting this to leak today for some reason but when it did I was honestly not surprised. Thanks again Jake!

I’m speechless how Rockstar captured the culture of Florida as a whole perfectly and I agree I’m curious what new distinctive abilities will we get and the A.I. itself
I was trying to find the word to find my intial impression of the game. And you nailed it by calling it "dense" its hard to explain the subtle changes in proportions to city scale and person scale that makes this game look extremely realistic, but it was desperately needed and im glad they paid attention to it. Now i hope it isnt just like this for the trailer but time will tell. But already this trailer truly makes GTA V look like a game made in 2013.
Honestly even more so than the story I’m really hoping for a interesting and vast world/map. Rockstar always adds so many “random interactions” and little secrets across their open worlds that take sometimes years to find. Also weird niche hope is a detailed and vast ocean/underwater exploration with tons of sea life 😅 give me subnautica in gta, that’s all I want

I had been waiting excitedly for more of this game, especially because I always love to see my city represented. Born and raised in South Florida, seeing this trailer got me even more hyped up. It’s always fun to see your city in media, but nothing compares to when Rockstar does it. It’s special, and I can’t wait to dive into Rockstar’s take on SoFla.
I’m also very excited and curious about the dual leads. Love that sort of trope that isn’t always done right, but I have hope this one will be enjoyable, fun and done impressively.

I'm really looking forward to learning more about the games dual protagonists & maybe seeing some official gameplay. Along with more information on the games story. I also hope that each protagonist gets their own trailer where we get to learn more about them individually. Like with GTA 5. I do also hope that the story of the game will be both tragic & satirical at the right moments.
Have dual protagonists actually been confirmed, or is that just speculation by the community? Because for most of what I'm seeing it's the first time we have a female main protagonist with no mention that we get to swap in this game even though people probably are expecting that based on GTA V and having three main characters.
@@benstephens187 It was confirmed in the leaks last year. This also makes sense with it being about a criminal duo & could potentially make the game more fun. This is also only a reveal trailer to build hype for the game. The GTA 5 reveal trailer only included Michael.
@@benstephens187Yeah it’s confirmed, I guess unofficially. But there was clips from the leaks last year that shown both characters as protagonists and even one clip that shown them changing from one to the other similar to how GTA V did.

Lucia seems like a ticking time bomb, one that ends up scaring Jason more and more. The part where she's on him saying "trust?" sounds like she's almost intimidating him into sticking with her.
I can see some betrayal/ratting out/intervention going on between them and them turning on each other.
I'm so excited for the Bonnie & Clyde dynamic. A relationship between them could give us a genuinely special story. GTA V's just didn't do it for me, nowhere near.
Aside from that speculation... HOLY MOLY THAT NPC DENSITY. There's NO way that holds up and is actually how it launches, right?! The hair physics and overall look of the game is top-notch. I can't wait. Such a shame for the talented souls that it leaked early and they didn't get their deserved moment of celebration.

Im with you on hoping its Co-op but either way this looks very incredible, the world feels so alive compared to V and the random events everywhere is amazing, still hoping for some other side activities like wakeboarding, skateboarding, etc

This looks great. The asset density and detail in most of these scenes is pretty amazing. I really hope Rockstar will start releasing single player DLC again, but that appears unlikely given their exclusive focus on online updates for GTA V and RDR2. The two DLCs they released for GTA IV are some of the best ever made and they each showed the city and key characters in a different light that enhanced the entire experience. Playing GTA Online can be fun, but it's just a completely different vibe for me that's too easily ruined. I wish they would split GTA Online into it's own free to play thing that competes with Fortnite while the main team focuses on creating single player open world stories, but they make so much more money off GTA Online and those damn shark packs so I highly doubt that will happen. They will probably make GTA Online it's own separate thing eventually, but they will always devote the most resources to whatever they think will make them the most money (and if you look at Take Two or Rockstar's comments on gaming monetization and advertising it should be at least a little concerning along with the fact that many of the founding members of Rockstar have now moved on to different projects). I think GTA VI will be a great game, but I do worry a little bit about the next Rockstar game because we've seen plenty of really good developers start releasing crappy games when they focus too much on newfangled ways to over-monetize with junk like NFTs and loot boxes especially when they have simultaneously lost a big chunk of the talent who made all of the studios great games and that includes many of the head writers that created the biting satire Rockstar has become known for... With satire there's an extremely fine line between clever and cringe, one that Rockstar has usually gotten right at least up to this point in an industry where that is extremely rare. It's like being campy in horror movies, if you get it right then it can work really well, but it's easy to get wrong.
Right with you on hoping they do some campaign DLC. Nobody does it better between the two you mentioned for GTA IV and Undead Nightmare. But like you, I’m skeptical.

Really interested in where they go with this story. My perspective based off this trailer is the woman is kind of the one 'leading the charge' and he's just kind of along for the ride; She's definitely featured more prominently in the trailer. No idea what their motivations could be, but I can see a storyline where she keeps pushing the envelope and it goes past what he's comfortable with time and time again causing some major friction between them. I'm also curious as to whether they start the game as criminals or if they are gonna be bumbling fools for the first act, maybe a bit of trauma when the violence escalates (i.e. the first time they shoot someone). Lots of interesting ways this story could go.
Anyway, guess we won't know for a few years, eh?
I hope it's not a whole "woman stronger and smarter than man" thing. Hopefully it's nuanced and balanced.

I was 12 years old when GTA V dropped, I’m 21 now. Haven’t been as much into gaming as I once was, but it’s looking like this’ll be the game that makes me upgrade consoles. Also Jake/gameranx was my go to source for videos and I’m happy to say it still is
I've been telling people since RDR2 that if they make a new GTA, it'll have to be in the same caliber in terms of the AI and world detail in order to do well and it looks like it'll be even better. I'm fucking pumped!!!
I played Vice City and San Andreas as a kid but skipped out on 4 & 5, they just didn't catch my interest, but as someone who love story driven games, GTA VI has my attention. The trailer was absolutely beautiful also.
If you love story driven games, go play gta 4 and 5. Easily some of the best stories in gaming.
i think 5’s story is pretty meh (currently replaying it) but 4’s is great. You should play both games and 4’s Episodes in Liberty City dlcs

@hablandoshet7149 5's story is pretty good but the atmosphere and the supplemental storytelling is unrivaled outside of Rockstar. When you engage with the activities, the television and radio shows, the high-satire twists on everything, it's really amazing.
Really enjoyed the trailer. The graphics look awesome and the sheer amount going on is insane.
Also a fan of the story angle they’ve chosen. I just hope that the writing is unique and doesn’t fall into common clichés with this kind of a dynamic in media.
Very interested to find out how they will be handling the two characters. Will it be co-op, will we be switching between the two at will or do we have to pick one at the beginning?
Excited for the game but happy to just wait for more info. Got plenty of awesome games to keep me occupied in the lead up to 2025, including my back log.

I’m really hoping they nail the story. One of the things that took me out of gta 5 was how silly things were at times. I really appreciated the serious approach of gta 4 (while it doesn’t quite hold up as well now in regard to story) the stress and pain Niko went through was captivating. Likewise with the Author Morgan’s story. I’m hoping they tell a deeper story and not just 3 characters with a bit of depth but they are still the exact same personality wise in the end.

Since gta3 I wish they had a building, a skyscraper, being built as you play through the campaign. Just after a cut scene it's added to a little and workers are milling around as you play. Would be cool
Considering that 70% of the trailer was about social media influencers doing crazy shit for clout, it seems that GTA 6 will parody the current social media landscape. And I'm here for it :D.
As for some innovation: I think they will massively expand the "internet" system from GTA 5 where it was mainly used to buy cars and some other stuff online.
I think they will add a fully functional, simulated social media to the game. It would be crazy to see for example the different NPCs we meet during the main story post crazy shit of what they are up to at the moment.
Like imagine this: You just finished a mission (Respect+) and while walking to your car you check social media and see a friend of yours live streaming in front of a building that you recognize. Then you drive to that building and you could physically see the NPC doing the live stream there.
And that is how a random open world event or hangout could start. That would be a neat feature.
The varied body types, the fluid motions of independent muscles and fat on bodies, the hair, the density of traffic. I understand it’s a cinematic trailer but I’ve never felt let down by the experience of the game vs the trailer by rockstar and I hope that trend continues. I’m so excited to wait 2 years for this game.
The thing that blew me away was the game engine and the character detail. It all incredibly detailed. Visually looks groundbreaking.
I just wanna say that every time we get a rockstar trailer it always matches what we get in the final product. So I feel comfortable being excited and I’ll feel confident in preordering when that becomes a thing. Cause I know that rockstar will deliver as they always do with their games.
Why preorder though? What benefit does it have? Just get it on launch day and be safe, we've had enough situations where everyone was excited about a renowned studio putting out a highly anticipated title and it being not what they promised. I'm optimistic as well, but why risk it? Do people never learn?
Not saying I’m gonna pre-order 100% but if I’m gonna pre-order from any developer it would be rockstar. Cause they have never really disappointed when it comes to the single player game experience. Now they’re multilayer that’s a different story I think they’re a little money hungry with that but when it comes to the base game the single player story it’s always solid.

Could there be some undercover betrayal with the couple? The emphasis on trust at the end of the trailer was intriguing. Maybe a Brian in Fast and Furious or something akin to that. Maybe not at that level, given that they're just holding up liquor stores, but I think there will definitely be some level of betrayal between them.

R* only does in-game cutscenes, they never do pre-rendered flashy nonsense so how the game looks in cutscenes is how the gameplay will

Rockstar doesn't do CG trailers. Watch the reveal trailers for GTA V and RDR2. They all are pretty much the game's engine. Also there is game play in the trailer. Such as the cutscenes within. Also the leaked footage of the city which we can now see was true, looks identical to the visuals shown in the trailer.

I am honestly even more psyched than I thought I'd be! I never owned GTA as a kid, just played it at my cousin's house, then I was late to the GTAV party but really got into the crazy situations I could get myself into. For 6 I wanna get on it from release and I'm really excited for how they can improve and build on the formula!
I did like the three character swap in 5, but I'm really into the whole crime romance thing! If they execute it right it could be an absolutely awesome storyline tool.

This is the longest period of my life where there hasn’t been a new GTA game. GTA V came out when I was 20 years old and GTA VI will come out when I’m 32. That’s just wild to think about.
