Thanks for your videos! Have loved watching them to help me out. I rescued a 9 month old Alexandrine a week ago and am starting to notice a few of these traits. He is nipping a bit harder these days but is also molting badly (being malnourished didn’t help). Can’t wait for him to slowly trust us more (and calm down on the biting - hopefully once his molt stops!!).

@@parrotshealth I got lots of free time. Recovering after a surgery so I spend lots of time together. Ppl make the mistake to focus on training only but bonding is made mainly on trust also training. You are absolutely right.

I've got a female alexandrine, she was also difficult in the start like yours, I believe the alexandrine go through the same phase as indian ringnecks, bluffing stage, important to know if you're going to get a parrot related to the species, I didn't know and it was one hell of a learning experience haha.
her wings growing back was a very important part of her confidence, very lovely bird now, took about year and half, a lot of patients and love is key

I started watching your videos when I got my Alexandrine parrot. He's 7 months old now. Your videos have really helped me understand him and create a better relationship with him. But I am slightly concerned as I fear he's become too attached to me and my family. Sometimes he flies on her instantly when we try to leave the room, is that normal?

@@jahairarivera4689absolutely you can. You need to teach him what’s healthy and what’s not. It’s ur job now to show him the fruits and veg that he can eat. You are his mummy
