    I’m glad you finally tried this! This is my go to after trying it a few months ago. Price is right and it performs exactly how I want it to all in one bottle. I didn’t know they sold it in 5 gallons so I may have to look into into that. I dilute it 5:1 in my IK foamer and it works great and you use less product.

    I used to use a really strong alkaline degreaser to clean my wheels and tires, and noticed after a few months that the tires were cracking. I just thought they were cheap tires, but now that you mention it, when I used that degreaser, the tires would always bleed brown no matter how many times I'd reapply. Glad I switched to brakebuster!

    Just so you know Matt and anyone considering using it, this product will completely TRASH the clearcoat on certain wheels if used straight up. It needs to be diluted at least 1:2 with water. I used this on my brand new Corvette with black wheels and the clear coat is hazy and started bubbling. You should include this in your description of the product. I have found several reviews that confirm the same phenomenon.

    Matt, if you have one flaw, notwithstanding your OCD (which could be good/bad depending on the situation) it's your closed mindedness. I'm not trying to throw shade, and I've learned a ton from your videos. But open your mind a touch. You're unapologetically you. Which is refreshing. To an extent. Lol. But don't let that stop you from having new experiences. Aloha🤙🏽

      @@ObsessedGarage Well, you were sent a product, and you threw it in the trash. You didn't try it. You didn't give it away to someone who might want it or would be willing to try it. You threw it away just because you didn't ask for it. That's pretty closed minded.

    • @ObsessedGarage
      @ObsessedGarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I threw it away because I didn't need or want it. In my 40 years on this earth I've developed a really keen sense of timing and need. I simply cannot try or chase every opportunity presented to me at this point in my life. That has nothing to do with being closed minded and everything to do with understanding the longer-term vision I have. If something is great, it will find its way back into the process for testing when appropriate.

    • @phasmata3813
      @phasmata3813 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ObsessedGarage Blech, is this how you really think about things? Keen sense of timing and greater vision? How self-important of you. It's hardly a chase when the opportunity is delivered to your doorstep, and don't pretend like to try it or to do with it something more respectful and less wasteful was too much for you. It's not bothersome that you didn't need or want it or that you didn't even care to try it, but to just throw it in the trash in this world where so much is already wasted and the wealthy already place so much importance on themselves...and to tell the story with a chuckle too...gross.

I sincerely wish I could buy from you because of the sheer effort you put into your channel and your supply business. But, I think you would agree, the logistics of that would be ridiculous. I buy most of my supplies from AutoObsessed here in Canada. Ok somebody please set me straight if I'm off because this is ONLY my thoughts I've started having about Obsessed Garage and hence could be someone else's. I'm not trying to stir up anything, just genuinely curious. I love this channel, can so relate to Matt in more ways than you know. First, I too am OCD and teach children with OCD. I get it. I have a total obsession in details, processes, products. The smaller more intricate the process the more enjoyable. I can spend 6 hours researching the perfect wrench. Same with perfection. So I found this channel because I relate to finding the absolute perfect product or process that fits my needs. I ran a multi million dollar business so I understand selling products. Nothing wrong with that. But because Matt found a company he can sell products for, it seems he's more willing to promote those products. Isn't this channel MAINLY about finding and showing the BEST processes and products? Not the products that he can make money from? Should I be speaking directly to Matt? Or is it possible that because you can sell for P&S that your brain is more willing to like their product even if it's not as good as something else? Again, correct me if I'm wrong. I'm just wondering if I can rely on the fact that the products you promote are truly the best of the best? I wonder if the owners of P&S had said "no we won't let you sell Beadmaker," if you would have loved it at the same level. I know for me it may have swayed my own opinion even though I may not be aware that is what is happening on a subconscious level. We are all the masters of subtly lying to ourselves and having no idea it's happening, especially in a situation where we stand to profit from it and no one is getting hurt. And no one is here. Just a lot of thoughts on a Saturday morning.

      First, being organized is not obsessive compulsive disorder, so you may want to drop that from discussions in the future. OCD comes with crippling anxiety, irrationality, phobias, and many times rituals that need to be done in order to function. Being organized is not a disorder. Second, I have a process that I use to wash cars. I don't live by the concept of best of the best. That is an impossible pursuit. I just using what I know to be functionally excellent and have to make a choice. It's like picking a mutual fund for a portfolio. How do you pick "the best." You just have to make a choice. I make well educated choices. No one on the planet has used every product. I have used many, many more than most, so I have developed a process that has value. I'm choosing great products in every category for myself. Then I'm chasing the ability to buy those products in quantity is a secondary possible benefit to gain me even more access to information and choice.

    • @coachtim6188
      @coachtim6188 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ObsessedGarage what I just posted in a Facebook group. So you can refrain from educating me on a disorder that has crippled me at times. It comes in many different forms. Yours isn't the only form. And I was being kind. " Contrary to popular belief, OCD has very little to do with cleanliness or organizing or anything like that except for germaphobia and hand washing. More to do with rituals, consuming thoughts, horrible anxiety, and everything has to be perfect to even start doing something, and if it can't be done perfect, it doesn't get done at all and can't be done. People with OCD are often the most unorganized and their living spaces are often horribly messy. But once they start cleaning, they can't stop thinking about it and will even miss work to get it just right. Then it goes to shit again because you fear not being able to stop again and fear the anxiety it can cause. And that's just one of many forms and effects."

    It's great to see that you've adopted the Brake Buster into the arsenal. It really is a great product, and I don't want to knock on Adams because it's great too. Living in Colorado I get to visit Adams store front often, and they're great people with great products. Sometimes it's overkill though, but we see some harsh winters which is when I'd actually want to use an iron remover. Otherwise there really is no need unless you wash your car once every 3-4 months.

    Doing research trying to find a new wheel and tire cleaner and this one popped up as a suggestion. I’m a little OCD and started doing a lot more research on it and am reading that on some wheels, it is causing discoloration, stripping clear coats, or ruining the finish in other ways. Other some others expressing that it is messing with the driveway or garage surface as well. But no answers to the issues. But I’d be lying if I say that I’d feel comfortable using this product on my vehicle until there is more info.

    This is a great video, sorry it took so long to get around to watching it. Your honesty about not trying the product originally is refreshing. It amazes me about the negative comments people make regarding your story about the product, which I found interesting, it’s a great story. I believe as should others you like the product, because it works, not just because you offer it on your site for sale. I have products that have been given to me, you simply can’t try them all, there isn’t time in one lifetime. That’s not that unusual, and to claim your somehow wasteful or disrespectful is ludicrous. Thanks for making this video, I’m going to try it, the rust inhibitor for my steel Porsche brakes is worth it alone. Adams rusts the crap out my rotors, and i do believe Adams has its applications, but not on my Porsche, customer cars that don’t get cleaned enough get Adams because i need the added strength. I like that it works on tires without stripping them also. The last thing I want to do is damage or strip my new MPS4’s, at $2,000 plus for the set. Not sure if your still using Brake Buster, but thanks for making videos like this, many of us appreciate them, and you, and your honesty…keep doing what you do, and being yourself 👍

    I normally cringe when I see people use a heavy degreaser on tires. The mold release used in the tire manufacturing process does not play well with degreaser. The carbon black and anhydrous compound will leach from the outermost 3 mils of the tire.

      SpikeyBoy I guess you have the latest generation of the AF wheel cleaner. I have the previous one, and don’t get me wrong, I still like the AF. I’m using Brake Buster now, which I got from OG, for me is better get it from OG, since I’m Hex+ member. There’s no magical perfect cleaner and all that BS, but is you have ceramic or some protection and clean your wheels like 3 times a week, 😂, it can be a no touch, but I like to always do follow up touch and both are great. Now, I used them as my tire cleaner as well because I wanted to have just one product and IMO BB does way better on that, also, I can use it on bottle, straight up, dilute it, easy to just refill and put it on a foam cannon if I want. Like I said, I still like AF, have tried few of his products, but BB is what I’m rocking now. I think is more versatile, better performance overall from the two, more easier to use and better price.

      Danon Morey I’ve been using it for 5 or 6 washes now. It is as good as anything else that top companies sell. I’ve used Adams, OPT and Meguiars hyperwash and its at least as good as those.

      pearl shampoo is slick and cleans well. It's very water-y, which makes it easy to pour out and blends easily in a foam cannon/bucket.
