Stalogy for journaling… specifically morning pages. Will always be my number one with my fountain pens. Love the thin sturdy paper, that gets to feel well used ❤
I recently subscribed to the JMB Living Journal again, and I love that she divides each page into two colums - one colum per day. It feels less overwhelming for me to fill out than to try to fill a whole page everyday right now.
For daily planning, I use blank inexpensive TNs, loosely following Planner Perfect method, and these are strictly functional (although I use some stickers, washi, colored pens for fun) and not kept long term. For fun journaling I actually like disc bound monthly/weekly planners such as Happy Planner. I can decorate as simply or elaborately as I feel, glue small things right to day’s page, have space for daily gratitude, answered prayers, scripture writing etc, and the monthly spread to log travels/events. I add extras like birthday and thank you cards, typical scrapbook things by hole punching the items and popping in the current week as they happen. Fun looking back through the year. “Morning pages” (as described by Julia Cameron in her book The Artist’s Way) are a totally separate thing, like “therapy”. Brain dumps just poured out, totally free flow, unedited and almost never looked at again. Most importantly, they are NEVER for anyone else’s eyes! Greatly satisfying to scribble away in a thin paper, cheap composition or spiral notebook with a ball point pen. The pages get textured with indentation, a bit crinkled, some shadowing. It’s really a beautiful mess by the end, at which point I burn it in the fire pit. I lovingly refer to it as my “B**** Book”😅 🤭
I love Dingbats notebooks for journals - I discovered them a few months ago, and fell in love with them. Writing in them with a fountain pen is a dream!
I love the Archer & Olive notebooks for hand lettering! My mom uses them to watercolor in :) I agree that the vegan leather covers are the way to go. They are more durable and stay cleaner. I prefer the square size. They always have great Black Friday sales!
I finally finished up a moleskin journal. I really enjoyed the feel of that paper. I am currently using a Paperage journal i got off Amazon for sermon notes - it has a nice paper feel. Im using up a journal i got years ago from Target that i use to do a weekly "catchup" of events and feelings - kindof like a self check in. Im going to give myself permission to start a new journal in 2025 as im just not enjoying the size or the paper feel as i fill in the pages. I hate to.waste the blank paper but maybe ill just the blank.pages for something else. I also have another journal from target that i use for notes for online webinars that i watch, notes from books i read, and some list making. With these last 2 journals...ive learned that the paper and size is important to me when journaling. A pretty cover isnt enough. As always thanks for a great video!!

I love Stalogy too! Thanks for sharing your fave:) And good point that fountain pens do well on that paper:)

Love that it works for you and feels lees overwhelming!
Those are a fun journal too
I love that crinkled, used feel! Sturdy, thick paper is lovely but a well-used, lived-in feel is the best. Thanks for this video ❤

I love all 3 of your methods:) Thank you for taking time to share what you use and how you use it:) xxx

I've looked at those several times but not purchased one yet! Probably bc I have SO MANY journals on my shelves already;) But this is good to know!
Great video and so timely for me! I am planning on continuing on with my petite folio for '25 and need a new journal besides. Thanks for sharing!
Oh, good!

Great tip on the square size and black Friday sale! thanks!
Thank you for sharing ❤ I love Peter Pauper Press journals, Leuchtturm 1917 and Stalogy. I always keep blank backups of these 3 for whatever is going.
Oh, love the backups! I always have backups too!
@ Amanda, I have a college student, a high schooler and a 3rd grader. 🙃 I need everything 😂
I used to get some really cool Peter pauper press journals at airport bookstores. They have great covers!
Love the idea of getting one on a trip...then when you use it you always remember what trip you were on!
This helped me decide on Archer & Olive for my journal! Thank you!
Great video! I’ve been looking for a journal for morning pages 🫶🏾
Perfect! I hope this was helpful!
My favorite with the mishroom
I love that cover too:)
That cover is gorgeous!
The tree cover I am guessing? They have so many amazing covers from that company.
Stalogy is a fave. Lately, Denik is my crisp white beautiful paper and cover $14 journal notebook.

Really good points! I agree that paper and size are very important to me too:)
That was such a lovely review enjoyed it so much.
Thank you so much!
I’ve used a Papier dot grid this year. For next year I’ve ordered a Rosey Life Planner tomoe river A5 notebook.
Thanks for sharing those with me;)
I love scribbles that matter and exceed. I noticed walmart has taken out all the exceed notebooks this year☹️
That's a bummer.
Is the Stalogy notebook with the Come and See cover no longer available? Thank you for your informative videos ❤ ❤❤❤❤
That "come & see" is just a sticker my son got on his mission from someone. but you can add any stickers you wish to Stalogy!
Would love to know why so many Polish people move to UK, Germany, Austria then?
