My virtus has been collecting dust ever since I got the spear lt... not much of a difference when disassembling, the handguard has the two bolts you would need to take off if you wanted to pull it off the upper and to take out the firing pin you need to depress this hook thing, which can be a bit of a bit to do to put the firing pin back.

It’s the same as this for the firing pin and the screws were added to avoid the issue he addressed which is it losing friction overtime meaning they can go on and off and as long as you tighten down those screws it wont matter, I just got the Spear LT 9” 300blk I’m waiting on the tax stamp now to SBR and it’s crazy how much lighter a pound is on a gun most people don’t realize that’s a crazy amount of weight to shave off on the spear lt

I have the sig spear MCX LT in 76.2x39 it’s been amazing ❤ but one question why is there a spring attached to bolt carrier?

It allows the gun to not require a buffer tube to function, which means they can make it smaller and easier to attach different style stocks. The MCX in general is a very modular gun compared to others

Question I’m thinking about getting that Troy vertical fore grip it says it ways 2.8 ounces I’m in between this the Samson manufacturing grip or the lead faucet tactical one ☝🏿 but I really like the size of the Troy grip it says it’s made out of aluminum but I’m wondering 🤔 how solid is it and of course how do you like it

It’s extremely solid on the gun. Since the gun is already heavy I don’t really notice the weight either
