    I own the same make and model Yukon with the exact dashboard layout as your son's Yukon. After watching this , I'm highly considering purchasing this double din Pioneer head unit. I already have my amp and subs installed, so this head unit will complete my av setup in my Yukon. Awesome job on the install guys!👍

    I would keep the chime module in case of a engine power is reduced message or low oil pressure, or engine overheating warning or any audible warning in the car.

  • @IronSights
    @IronSights 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Since the stereo is maestro compatible, next time look into getting a Maestro module and a t-harness, you can easily customize steering buttons, retain oem XM, and display tire pressure and clear Check engine codes on the screen of the stereo.

    I have the same exact vehicle but I was told that because the factory stereo is designed with a special Bose system, the stereo system was set up differently so that the chimes and back up sensors can be heard over the stereo and therefore required a special type of headunit.

Maybe cause I'm one of those people that needs a fan when I sleep at night. Do you man, your running a business. Fuck the background noise, it's not that bad. It is so exciting! 1 thing I have always wondered, with these DOPE installs, I never hear or see Steve install killer security alarms or aftermarket remote start systems. I would love to get his insight on the most stealthy way to install car alarms like we had to do in the 90s (Alpine was the HARDEST ALARM TO INSTALL!!). Keep up the good work SMD!
