- The Art Installation shown in the video is called Kuba by Turkish artist Kutlug Ataman. It was part of "Portals"excibition held in Athens September 2021. 40 TV screens sitting on 40 used chairs and tables, portraying people that go in and out of jail, people on whom their families were dependent. It is a very powerful piece of art and it inspired this jam.
SYNTH DIARY 15/22
Here I explore the sonic possibilities of the GR1 in rythmical context.
What you hear Is a jam of 30 minutes or so, condensed into 7 minutes edited in Logic.
The Digitakt helped by the TR6s offers a honest beat.
Vermona voices 1&2&3 play a bass sequence in alt tunings and settings.
Dreadbox Erebus through Zen Delay adds that rythmic grit.
The GR-1 plays all those pads, strange noises, and all weird stuff just by tweaking ONE single sample.
I now realise that in my rig I have instruments from Germany (Vermona), Japan(TR6s), Sweden (Digitakt), Greece (Dreadbox), Latvia(Zen), the Nederlands(GR-1), UK(Leipzig-UDO) USA(Microcosm), France(Microfreak) all collaborating perfectly. A real synth UN. The message is quite obvious here.
