I deal within this realm of networking for DICOM and PACS and do deployments and upgrades. You can rely on what he's telling you. As he said, go to around the 44 minute mark if you want more DICOM centric discussion assuming you already know the underlying network information.

I need to create a software application to communicate with RIS to retrieve the list of registered patients (Modality Worklist) in order to populate the patient demographics in my structured reporting app. I am wondering if you could suggest any courses or sources on how to build a simple tool to get Modality Worklist from the network of radiology department?
I am a postdoc at University College Dublin. We are in the process of CT scan DICOM anonymisation and I have been having a few complicated questions regarding UID's. Is there any way at all that I could have a zoom call with you? I have tried many resources including the DICOM standard itself but none of them were helpful! I would truly appreciate your help
