Fun fact: There is an Unused Email sent by Niko’s mom after this mission, in which she tells him that she heard Roman was killed and that he should leave “evil” place for Niko’s own good and stability. Meaning that it could’ve been a little bit more darker in a sense that maybe in this timeline, Niko eventually goes back to Serbia to take care of his only family left.

Seeing how compassionate Little Jacob is towards Niko, really goes to show that he cares a lot about him. Rockstar really paid attention to character development right here.

With the boat and chopper part, I've found it's actually easier to do if you follow the chopper at a slower pace and then speed up when Little Jacob appears. I got on the boat super quick and took the shortest route possible and I couldn't catch up to the chopper, but then the next time I took my time and didn't even fully accelerate on the boat and I made it.
Roman brought me into the city and I was nothing but a curse to him he was beaten because of me 1. He was shot 2. His business and his home were burnt down 3. He was kidnapped
In the beginning, Dimitri buys you an smg. I saved that till the end and used that to kill him. If only there were a hidden achievement you could unlock for doing it.
I always have to stare at the subtitles whenever him or Badman talk, leading me to crash into shit when driving. I imagine without subtitles it would be near impossible to understand what they're saying.
This really was my favourite GTA, I found it a much more immersive game, I replayed the story 4 times, I just really felt able to relate to niko and feel his pain and turmoil, I tried completely the game without killing anyone or unarmed, only in defense if they fired first, trying to help niko keep killing in his past to an extent. I also found it much more interesting character development than any of the others, in the beginning he’s calmer, by the end just so angry, like the terrifyingly satisfying “I’ll rip your fucking heart out”. And being able to grab onto walls at a JUMP, parkour was my favourite thing to do in gta 4. -and acrobatics in oblivion, can’t even get on a roof to feel like a real kahjiit Thief of the night in Skyrim.
I recently played through the game again and it took me about 20 retries from the checkpoint after the car chase do complete this mission. Not because I'm a noob or rusty but because of the fucked up 'balanced/dynamic difficulty' algorithm of the game and some other bullshit. The part shooting Dimitri's goons at the casino was easy as it probably is for everyone with halfway decent aim, but I always failed at the 'get on the chopper by spamming shift'-minigame. I'm suspecting the precise and fast aiming (which even got more routined with every retry) increased the difficulty parameters so I wasn't able to climb Jacob's chopper. I then tried to simulate bad aim by intentionally missing DImitri's guys which eventually worked out. 'Some other bullshit' that happened was Little Jacob sinking the chopper before I could reach the marker (2 times), one time Dimitri's chopper crashing and falling onto the roof of a random Algonquin skyscraper (what made me fail in the first place).

This is a way better ending than revenge, revenge is more happy and roman is alive but in here it’s dark and a good fit for the story. You can tell rockstar put a lot more effort in this ending, the weather, the helicopter vs helicopter chase, and of course the amazing acting of the cast. You can see how much more hurt Niko is and how much more effort Micheal Hollick and Coolie Ranx put in this ending, I even say this mission has the best performance of Dimitri in it, especially in the part where Dimitri runs to the Helicopter you can see the disbelief and fear in him that Niko is still alive. This ending is just perfect and I feel like should be canon, Niko learns his lesson of not working his traitors and the game actually ends with the Main Villain in the last mission. Revenge is a ending where Niko can get over but in the Deal ending Niko can never get over, even after 15 years. Amazing and Sad ending.
To be fair, the way Niko got to the Deal ending didn't make as much sense for his character, even if Roman's death was way more impactful. Niko wouldn't break his bow on killing Dimitri, he might've learned forgiveness from reuniting with Darko, but he 100% knew Dimitri would betray him again. Even if the deal went right, he'd still find a way to screw him over no matter what. Both endings have their merits, but yeah, the Deal ending>>>>>

Niko even admits this in the deal ending “how could I trust him again?” and he promises to Jacob that he learned his lesson “I have learned this lesson, it took the death of my cousin but I have learned this”. After Dimitri betrayed Niko in the price is right, instead of killing Dimitri he said “I’m gonna take this money and forget about this” but that proved to be a mistake “I thought the money would help things!”. Niko broke his oath in the deal ending and learned never to work with a traitor no matter what.
I have found a glitch in which while chasing Dimitri's helipcopter, if you shoot it enough, the helicopter will explode but remain intact and continue to fly, when little jacob arrives in the annhialator, as Niko tries to climb aboard, a rocket will hit the annhialator and result in failure of the mission, when Niko respawns at the nearest hospital, the camera angle will be stuck when Niko is boarding the annhialator. Note: I was playing the PS3 version. Other platforms might differ
If you wound Dimitri enough & quick enough while he's running to the chopper, the cutscene shows him limping into the chopper instead of walking (I used an RPG on him that connected on the cutscene lol). I don't know if this affects his health later on.
That kinda helped shooting the guy with the RPG is cool man I was having so much trouble with this mission because I tried to get under Jacob’s chopper but he just left and went ahead and I fucking lost Dimitri it made me so mad
Holy shit, in the second dialouge, the game outrights scolds you for taking the deal, lol. It's like the game is telling you "you fucked up, go reload a save" Niko repeated the same dialogue 3 times of him wanting to somehow rewind time and change his decision as if he's self aware that we could reload a save, OK we get it Rockstar, this is the wrong ending.
It always annoyed me that unlike with the Revenge ending, Niko never shoots Dimitri on Happiness Island, unlike what he did with Pegorino. All that talk about what he would do to Dimitri to revenge Roman’s death, only to just stand there and chat whilst Dimitri literally lies on the ground right in front of him.
Niko could have blown up the Helicopter with a Rocket Launcher just as Dimitri was getting into it and ended it all there, instead he ran over and grabbed it.
That's whyy I choose revenge and didn't do the deal when Niko said he was a curse to Roman and mentioned everything that happened and when Jacob said Roman loved him and before Niko came Roman always talked about Niko that made me cry this the first time I ever cried at a video game don't get me wrong Kate dying was sad snd I felt bad for Packie and his Mom but at least Roman survived

No. Roman says that _if_ it's a girl, they'll call her Kate, suggesting that at the time Roman calls, he doesn't know the gender of the child. Mallorie knows at this time, but hasn't yet told Roman.
This is the most annoying mission of the game. First the car that led me to the dock would speed up abruptly if I get close enough, and it won't move an inch if I actually hit it. Second the RPG will hit my vehicle if I get close to the heli , and I can't just shoot the heli it down because it's all scripted. Don't present it like the player need to shoot it down please. I drive fast so I end up retrying this stupid mission for like the 10th time.
I downloaded the game few months ago, killed Playboy and Dmitri when had the chance. Today I finished playing Jimmy. Anyway at the end he kills all I guess except few. I should play again and chose the opposite this time

No. Roman says that _if_ it's a girl, they'll call her Kate, suggesting that at the time Roman calls, he doesn't know the gender of the child. Mallorie knows at this time, but hasn't yet told Roman.
This is the most annoying mission of the game. First the car that led me to the dock would speed up abruptly if I get close enough, and it won't move an inch if I actually hit it. Second the RPG will hit my vehicle if I get close to the heli , and I can't just shoot the heli it down because it's all scripted. Don't present it like the player need to shoot it down please. I drive fast so I end up retrying this stupid mission for like the 10th time.
