If you fail the mission and exhaust the dialogue choices on the way to the bank, Packie will say "We're going to listen to the radio on this trip" and not say anything else.
I think that happens on the third attempt of every mission with dialogur

Fun fact: You can call Dwayne for backup shortly before entering the bank, and they will follow you throughout even after the cutscenes. The battles are more intense with them.

Those two dialogues in the car on the way to the bank only occur once, If you fail to mission more than twice, sometimes Packie tells you that they'll just listen to the radio on the way and they'll remain quiet in the car for the time being. He does this on most of his missions.
True, it's like this for all the dialogues on the way to or from a mission...
whatever57010 The dialogues will also repeat on the same attempt- i replayed back in february and i totaled two different vans on the getaway, and heard the first one three times.

Now that I think about it, killing Michael at the start of the mission could be an accidental spoiler. After all, to kill Packie and Derrick, you need to shoot at them several times, even in the head. To kill Michael, you only need to shoot him once in the head :o
No Luis means no diamonds bullshit that arc had some bs and a lot of confusing shit going on
No Michael only dies from one shot because he dies in the cutscene

I always did the heist the ' hard way ', with no shortcuts; failed it a couple of times, because I got killed. It's nice to see some alternatives. Another great video! Huntley Sport is my favourite vehicle in GTA IV. :)

people say this is very hard for some reason i did it in second try first time i didn't know i had to take a car eeeee (for some reason i bought the game many years ago but didn't go more then uncle vlad mission
i completed the mission first time. How is it hard? You just kill cops, run, get on a car and escape. Although i was a bit lucky while escaping 3 star police.
I called Dwaynes homeboys and they did a better job than packie and Derrick lol. When we had to get a car Niko, Packie, Derriclk, and one of Dwaynes homeboys got in too. The other one couldn't fit and stayed behind fighting off the cops. Rest in peace to that OG😂🙏

@@papapeli6272 yeah if you hangout with dwaynes like go eat and stuff once he gets your respect like 85% or sum he will tell you you can give him a call if you need backup. It gives you a option for him to send you 2 of his goons to back you up at any time. Really helpful with hard missions

Easiest way to beat this mission is to date Kiki Jenkins. Get her fondness all the way up & as soon as you exit the subway call her & use her lawyer ability to immediately drop the wanted level

I love how niko says “FUCK FUCK FUCK” whenever he fails a mission.
If you have another weapon equipped (like an RPG) before encountering the chopper before entering a subway. Niko will shoot it in the cutscene. Sometimes the RPG will blow up the chopper.

This mission was so intense. However I have some bad early memories playing this mission for the first couple times...because I managed to allow Niko to get hit by the train when shooting at the pursuing NOOSE agents when entering the tunnel.
That was a huge facepalm.
Its pretty easy to get hit by that oncoming train right if you are not careful. Its on purpose like that I guess 😅
For Tunnel of Death:
1. Destroy the Truck
2. Destroy the Police truck
3. Kill Packie
4. Abandon Police Truck
5. Abandon Packie and Aiden
Then fail the mission to call Derrick.
It would have been great to show also if the mission would have the benefits of the friends/gf's favors. Like bringing a six-men heist with the help of two Dwayne hustlers (calling them before you reach the yellow marker in the bank), asking Kiki to clear the 3-star wanted level before reaching the service entrance or calling Muhammad to pick you up in a taxi. :P
you can't get Dwayne's backup in this mission

there's an armor when you exit the bank and go right. Then you can shoot cops to help friends escape

if you step on the hostages before shooting them they will die instantly without failing the mission.
and you can do what you wish with them.

I’d definitely see a GTA 5 prologue situation in this mission. Niko seems to know enough cops and government agents in Liberty City to go into witness protection in Vice City.

After the mission you can call roman and he will talk about a big bank job on the news u forgot that part and trying to call Kiki to get the cops off u

I don't know does my SNT (Simple Native Trainer) affect this but I actually could kill Luis Lopez without failing the mission. Somehow it's hilarious to basically end TBoGT before it begins :D

You can kill a couple of the hostages, but if you kill too many of them, the mission fails.

This is another weird thing.
Get out of the subway station. Get to the conviniently placed getaway car. Lose the heat and go back to the bank. You'll see that the bank is still open and the alarms are still ringing. Go inside, you'll see people standing as customers and Luis Lopez as the only one doing a prone (lol). Shoot atleast a bullet or shoot one of the people and the heat as the same outside will happen again. You'll have to get a car co'z the subway and the street chase will never happen again.

You can call Kiki to get rid of the cops too.
After going back onto the surface, run back into the tunnel and keep rushing along the railway trail for some time. This is also a way to lose the cops :D

In time I hope to do all the missions... with an avarage of 2 a week I wonder how long it would take me to do all IV, TBoGT and TLaD (if you plan on doing the math then keep in mind I did 21 already :P )

There was going to be a mission similar to this in gta 5, but they cancelled it for fear of making gta 4 too much like gta 5. I think it’s better that way, as gta 5 put rockstar to shame after we saw what they could do in gta 4

If you use a bus 🚌 as a vehicle at the start of the mission, and you call Dwayne’s backup, everyone will enter the bus except the 2 backup dudes, even if this a fucking bus with A LOT of available sits lmao
Unlike in GTA SA, where you can carry on the bus big groups of Grove Street members.
I know you can call them just before entering the bank, but It would’ve be dope to see all the squad in the back

That Mod Menu Of Yours To Explode The Plane
Actually, when you have the attack copter cheat, (Annihilator) you can get to the bank faster

Simply going to another station doesn't help much. If you walk down subway tracks far enough you can walk out of the 3 star range without even fighting anyone.
Hey whatever you forgot something in this mission is that you can call dawyne Backup (if you completed all playboyX and dawyne mission include the Holland play and increase his friends like and respect to get the ability to use backup before this MISSION) you can try and call it before you entered the bank (when you get there) i did this a long time ago and it works *if only it would make so niko and dwayne backup to help collet all the money and save Michaels life and maybe they would make an option to let them have their cut*In bags* or let them give the bags to niko and before or after escapeing the cops or exit the subway i hope you understand this) try to use mods use a kill a enemies or add some bodygards
I played this game for the third time and while i was playing this mission i tought to myself
"huh, i never checked back if luis was still inside the bank" so i checked it and saw luis on the ground.
Then i tought to myself "i wonder if i can shoot luis..." but then i tought "meh even if i can it will probably get this mission failed anyways" and so i tried shooting him in the head. He died. No achievement, no mission fail, no nothing. I was dissapointed.
Edit: I just relized, if they had killed Luis in the bank, The missions "Museum Piece" and "Collecter's Item" would go smoothly because Luis wouldnt be there to prevent the the deal from happening.
Sooo many times I ended up with a six stars wanted level just becouse a minor fuckup... too bad Niko can't go to anger management classes :P
