Louder Than Bombs is a song for ARMY. The lyrics essentially talk about how BTS recognize the shadows inside us, and the struggles we go through, and they know that we look to them for comfort and hope. They also have shadows and struggles, but they aren't going to turn away from us, pretend we aren't hurting, or offer us empty platitudes. They promise that no matter what difficulties they themselves are going through, they will always sing for us. 💜 I am obsessed with Louder Than Bombs, lol.
@@nazvel7971yea it would probably be very difficult to portray the same vibes and style live because a lot of it is due to effects added. Then it doesn’t help that there are so many repetitions of the high note lol
There's a reason Yoongi is the most proposed man in the world. He's obviously really cool and handsome but with long hair he looks even hotter and more attractive
@@2Chua u’ve never seen a loving relationship where ppl make fun of each other? Suga is happy with his parents so I don’t think it’s a good idea to make assumptions about their relationship
Suga's SHADOW is one of his many masterpieces' song. He got all the fame and he's in the top now but as what he said " No one told me it's lonely here" . I remember watching his latest and last episode of Suchwita just recently and his special guest which his bff and also co- songwriters most of his DDay albums , he said, " People think , just because we are in a tour that after the concert we are just drinking and clubbing but he got bored and Suga is always by himself in his hotel room." I learned a lot from that final episode that Suga is not only a gifted musician but a very kind- hearted beautiful human being. He has a heart of gold. I cannot wait to see his upcoming DDAY TOUR MOVIE in cinema next month where we can see him again and the rest of tge members who became his guests in his last encore concert. It will be a treat to me and to all Suga's bias after not seeing or hearing anything about him since his military enlistment. Advance Happy birthday to my boy Yoongi aka Suga aka Agust D. Be healthy, happy and safe return with the boys next year! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Thank you both for the reactions , i really enjoyed all the thoughts and perception you had for the boys!
"I'm not a rap guy"... Me, too! Imagine, I'm a choir girl, with only a bunch of pop artists I really like, rap is the last thing I would ever listen to. But since I dove to BTS discography, I listen to each of BTS raps & love them. Many ARMY has the same experience as me & you..
Me, too! I'm 70 and my 36 yr old son laughed when I told him i'd never thought i'd like rap ever until i stumbled upon BTS last year. I stil don't like other rappers - only BTS . 😊
Suga’s interludes is about his inner battle with everything that comes with fame but eventually learned to overcome it with humility and self acceptance
The red wax around the door is a reference to a work by an British Indian sculptor Anish Kapoor. His installation art called “Svayambh” - which in Sanskrit means “self-made” or “auto-generated”. It shows how a large mass of wax moving though a building would interact. As wax is molded by the building (the wax will be door shape as that is where it can pass), it leaves some of its self around the door. It can be a metaphor for the skin left behind (if you like) as someone creates themself.
@@sarahj3695 haha! Kapoor did several installations with TONS of that red wax. I'm pretty sure it would supply the world with red candles until the end of time. At least. 😅
About Shadow, Yoongi has always talked alot about his battle with greed. Like in the beginning of the song he wants it all, fame, money.. but then the higher he gets the bigger the shadow, and the uncertainty of how high he can go is scary. He has said this himself, he is not afraid of landing, he is afraid of falling. He had this conversation with his family and they comforted his saying that even if he falls and isn’t successful as a musician anymore he will still be Min Yoongi. I think he isn’t as worried about those things as he used to be. He has accomplished a lot now and he said now when he has reached his thirties he doesn’t struggle with that kind of anxiety anymore.
REUPLOAD: This video originally aired as a livestream but copyright claims blocked it from staying public. As a result, we have reuploaded it with a filter over the two videos that were problematic. Thank you all for your patience and understanding!
Thank you, I was about to watch the video last night but it was blocked. I'm glad you can upload it again. I always love your reaction, because your reaction is just a combination of everything.
Filter is about using filters App to see as if through a lens or with special effects on one’s image. Jimin invites his fans to choose how they want to see him, but in the end he is of course in control of what he wants to project. He is the one playing with his persona.
On the Map of the Soul album, each rapper refers to a song from their first 3 albums (the Skool Trilogy). RM Persona refers to his verse from "Skool luv affair" from the album Skool luv affair SUGA Shadow refers to "Intro: O! RUL8,2?" from the album O! RUL8 2? The music at the start of the song is the same as the song Interlude: Shadow. Jhope Ego has the same beginning as Intro: 2 Cool 4 Skool featuring DJ Friz. "We're now going to progress to some steps which are a bit more difficult. Ready, Set and Begin"
Their ability to be so uniquely themselves in solo projects but put that aside and come together as a group as one unified artistic creation speaks to their Korean upbringing I think. Korean culture values cohesive group identity where everyone does their best for the group's best interest - whether it's a class, a team, a family, a work dept.... And since you saw them as individual performers first... you might not get the full understanding of how being THE GROUP for 10+ years was such a heavy responsibility on each of them personally. To see them take hiatus and flower into their own beautiful genres was such a joy to see - knowing what it meant for them to finally have that freedom. And to see how much of themselves they had been holding back. For the group.
I think there’s a confusion when we talk about ego. Ego, in the Jungian sense of the word, is not the overinflated ego we usually relegate the word to in casual conversations. It’s not pride nor arrogance. In psychology, the ego is the center of your consciousness, your sense of personal identity. Whereas persona is the self you project to the world and the shadow is the self you try to hide from the world. Ego is your true self. Each of the rappers have a song for each. Persona, Shadow, Ego. And these were also supposed to be the album names, and they started with Map of the Soul Persona. Shadow should have come next and then Ego. But because of the delay in production and their 7th anniversary coming up, they clubbed together Shadow and Ego along with some tracks from Persona into 7. The tracks on the Persona album were mainly about their persona, as BTS. The self that they project to the world. So they sing about being artists, about ARMY, about being a member of BTS. Now the songs on 7 that are in the same arch as Shadow mainly talk about their fears, worries, source of pain, and about facing these parts of oneself-Black Swan, Louder than Bombs, On, etc. And then you have the Ego songs that talk about and celebrates who they really are-Inner Child, Friends, Respect, We Are Bulletproof the Eternal. It’s a wonderful journey of discovering their sense of self through studying their personas, their shadows, and their ego.
Remember guys, almost all their MVs have a "making of" or a behind the scenes which are really interesting. I hope you take a bit of time to watch some of those. (I'm just beginning to watch this reaction........I'm sure I'll have more to say. lol) Edit 1: There are videos breaking down these videos. I'm sure you've heard of DKDKTV for the Korean explanation side. There is also Bookish Theories who really dives into meanings. I hope you take the time to watch these as well. Edit 2: I'll be dead before you get through the entire catalog!!!!!!!! (I'm 73, God willing I'll be here for Chapter 3.)
Thank you for the reminder. It's hard to know whether or not to watch the making of during a reaction and of course we don't want to hear too much of in advance.
Welp, my suggestion is that you watch these on your own time if you are interested. We ARMY (of course) would watch them again with you. This all depends on how deep you want to go to "know" and understand why BTS is so loved. Unlike any other artist you are currently reacting to, BTS will fill your lives with so much content that you won't have time for anything else! There are literally thousands of hours of videos surrounding the boys since 2013. I realize this may not be what you are aiming for with this channel, and I can appreciate that. And I am truly enjoying watching you discover their talent. (We ARMY re-live it all through your eyes. That's why reaction channels are so popular!) Keep up the good work - "you nice - keep going". 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜@@throga
@@sallycapotosto6927 since 2012* but yes for them except in very specific cases (as they did with Black Swan), behind the scenes are not the kind of content that may interest them, or perhaps out of curiosity in their personal time ^^
Black Swan: One of my fav BTS songs and so impressive when I saw them perform it live in Las Vegas in April 2022. Johnny, from a song-writing perspective, I think it's clever how the heartbeat "bump- bump- bump" is used to signal fear in the early part of the song and then to signal hope in the later part of the song. At least, that's how I hear it.
♦️Jimin said in an interview that he wanted the concept of his song “Filter” to be to present himself to the world in many different ways! Jimin also said that it's about perspective & prejudices as well!! Aside from saying in the song that I can be anything you (army) want me to be for you, I believe that Jimin is also trying to tell so many army that keep saying things like he's insecure, weak, or helpless, and needs protecting, or just cute or sexy, or just any one thing, whatever army indeed wants to think he is, isn't the real him! That he wears whatever 'filter' that army wants him to be, but indeed in reality is so not him!! That's why army are continually surprised when they see a glimmer of the real Jimin, the way more self assured, demonstrative, take charge, confident, charismatic, alluring, at times sexy, person that kills on stage! So this (pure genius) song, that the CEO 'Hit-Man Bang' (called that since way back when, as a producer, whatever he was involved in became a hit) Mr. Bang Si Hyuk, himself, was actually involved in writing the ever so genius lyrics, that Jimin had a hand in as well. The song's lyrics have more then one meaning!! So Jimin has pretty much been doing this since the beginning, playing the role of whatever army seems to prefer for him, but in actuality, hardly anyone knows the real Jimin! So much more then what many army believe him to be. Plus since Jimin never talks much about all his amazing past achievements, abilities, and accomplishments, even before ever joining BTS, many army are still unaware of so much.👍❤🔥😍🔥🔥
18:37 Suga's shadow is essentially the fame monster. It's the hungry, all-consuming thing that's greedy for success-- big car, big house, big rings-- above ANYTHING, even when his rational self sees how harmful and potentially destructive that success is, even when it could destroy the people he loves. It hungers for more even when Suga's sick of it; it wants to climb higher and higher even when Suga's afraid of falling. When it's kept in check, it's the strong, healthy drive and competitiveness that helped to carry him and his brothers to the top. When it's not, it's the Mad King in Daechwita, and the corrupt cop in Haegeum.
You saw Jimin solo dance in the MMA 2019 I Need You- this is such a captivating dance. Filter is another classic music and dance. They are all superstars, I agree. This whole album was a masterpiece!
1:26:00 -- "You can make your own meaning" What a great insight! It's similar to poetry. Robert Frost famously said that when he wrote "The Road Not Taken", he did not embed all the meaning that readers found in it. And yet, we do find that meaning in the words he wrote, whether the artist consciously intended it or not. I think you're right; it's the same with music.
“I’m not into rap.” Either, but when BTS does it, I can’t help but love their rap. Suga doing. Suga’s “first Love” is what drew me into Suga he did a wonderful job with that song.
UGH..one of my all time favs [along with Cypher part 3]....as individual rappers, these 3 are the best in the world...as a trio - holy hell fire...they are untouchable. Thanks for another stellar reaction to watch.. You guys rock :) BORAHAE
I understand what you say about not being a rap guy but getting transported when the rap line comes on. I feel the same way. I never liked rap until I heard BTS and all three, Suga, RM and J hope, make me love it. But I have to admit I find their rapping much more elevating and emotional than the American rap or any others. I truly believe that BTS dominates in every genre because they sing/rap with sincerity and true feeling. I’m an absolute BTS ARMY through and through and at 57 haven’t felt that way about any group or singer ever. They really touch my soul. 🥹 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
must see, legendary live performance I'd love for you to react to as well, is: ❣ BTS (방탄소년단) JIMIN "SERENDIPITY" Live Performance (English Lyrics) 2019 BTS Speak Yourself Tour Japan by BTSPurpleYou. Seeing a full live performance, this time, from the sold out, 80K stadium, filmed in Osaka, Japan from the 2019 BTS Speak Yourself World Tour, is preferable. Jimin's so amazing, so mesmerizingly spectacular artistry, stage presence, vocals, his phenomenal dancing, as well as the equally amazing choreography, by Brian Puspos, who Jimin is close friends with, & have worked together a few times over the yrs, are all such must sees. Also hearing Jimin's so stunningly amazing vocal abilities in real time is always preferable! Which you'll all see here while reacting to this so iconic, breathtakingly amazing performance!! There's a reason why Jimin was not only haven the official title of Main Dancer & Lead Vocalist since BTS debuted, but also has been awarded the prestigious titles of both King of Kpop, now 5 yrs in a row, as well as Best Kpop Dancer, 6 yrs in a row as well! 👍🙏❤🔥😍🔥🔥
Very entertaining to watch two non - rap people loving UGH so “enthusiastically.” 😁😁😁 When I found BTS, I remember thinking that they should do the songs without rapping. Now, “UGH” and “Outra Tear” are in my top 20 bts songs. 1:10:37
I love louder than bombs too! I truly believe that MANY of BTS’ b-sides are even better than their main tracks. They make those main tracks more poppy to grab the attention of potential fans, but the b-sides are meant to show the depth of their musical talent!
The members are so connected and so in tune to each other that they can feel each other’s energy. SUGA was telling the members how he was at the bathroom in a tour , and JK knew it was him because of the “ energy” he sensed at the place. Jim said the same. That it was crazy how they knew each other by the way one breaths without be seeing. That are episodes that show this connection. They know each other even by smell. So they sense each other. The way they dance and know each other’s proximity, the way that their voices match even emotionally shows this conection that the time reinforced. Thank you for the reaction guys.
You didn't have to apologize for smiling during ugh. That's a very natural response when watching bts, whether they're just being 7 normal boys or when they're performing 😂 Love the reaction Can't wait for you guys to hear ON, friends, and outro:ego Friends was one of the first BTS songs I ever heard.
If you would like to understand the theme and why BTS always arranges the songs in a particular order. This is based on Carl Jung's personality theory. They use the diagram as a "map" of the soul. Intro Persona- RM kicks off with the outside. The self that people can see and the songs till Dionysus explores the theme of how they are perceived as an artists with the highs and the lows. Interlude Shadow: Suga kicks off the unconscious aspect of the self. All the songs till about My Time explore their inner thoughts, fears, hopes, etc. Jhope closes off with Outro Ego, so all songs from Louder than Bombs to Ego are them again bringing it back to the outer self of this is who we are. This is the side they want others to see.
Thank you for your reaction. I also wasn't a big fan of rap before BTS. But their rap line changed everything. Their songs are so well done and their lyrics are meaningful and beautiful. Could you please react to their Outro: Tear and House Of Cards sang by vocal line? I promise you will not be disappointed. The first song is from 2018 and was created in the time when BTS considered disbanding. Everyone thought it's just a love song but guys later revealed it was their burst of frustration and hurt. Even though it's really beautifully written. House Of Cards on the other hand is from 2016 and it has that almost jazzy vibe. You can even hear Jungkook scatting. This song is about comparing an ending relationship to a house of cards that's about to collapse in any moment. This song is so hypnotizing and their vocals are so great!
Just an fyi regarding shadow: the mv is not the full-length song. the second verse is fantastic so I recommend checking out the full song when you get the chance.
Suga struggled with alot of anxiety and depression and shadow eludes to alot of that and the doubts and questions of self worth and having spcial anxiety while also having to deal with all these crowds, pressure etc.
I absolutely lost it when you started reading the wrong lyrics to ugh 😂😂😂😂 i had to go to doolset myself and check because i was like wait that doesnt sound like the ugh i know 😂
Hey, Johny, just a note, SUGA also loves soundtracks(OST), he hasn't make any movie OST, but he made a game OST (In The Seom game) & made Samsung ringtone, too.. One of his favorite composer is Ryuichi Sakamoto, who made "The Last Emperor" music score, it's his first love of music score. Luckily, he managed to meet Ryuichi & got a song with him before he passed away.
Another important aspect of Shadow is Suga said No one told me what it’s like to go so high. He has recently mentioned that BTS didn’t have any other group to ask about their rising fame because no other group had previously reached the heights that BTS did, so they were flying solo. They struggled emotionally with the possibility of suddenly plunging from the top.
I loved your reaction so much. This album means way too much to BTS and Army. Like.. it’s just a masterpiece something that can never be redone .. every song of theirs has a meaning behind.. and that meaning leaves you in question of how one person could come up with something as beautiful as that through music. I am looking forward to more reactions from you guys. Suga is such a person.. he’s not just a great artist but a person who’s seen it all and it shows in his writing and work.. he’s a genius, Jimin is a whole package.. you cannot point at anything on him that is not perfect, he’s such a unique artist, his compositions are freakin insane (I’d love to see you react to Serendipity live version and Lie) , Jungkook.. oh Lord.. the maknae who has it all. He’s gonna go down in the history books of how one man could do it all.. he’s got that western tone in his voice which keeps him at par with the western artists.. his work is art!, we have BTS in mvs and then we have them performing Live. They are perfect everywhere. They are complete individually but they also sort of complete each other like anything. They’re that one group you cannot imagine disappointing you. They’re so insanely talented., AND UGH 😭😭 they are the fathers of the industry.. have you seen JHOPE legit coming and owning the stage like he belongs there. RM has always been the wisdom wordplay rap king. He knows what he does when he writes and it comes out so beautifully. Thank you so muchhhhhh for the reaction! 🩷🩷😭😭
I literally forgot to mention about the king of vocals Jin. I mean.. could you imagine..He was having a bad throat while the busan concert took place and he performed the songs live that too hitting every note just as beautiful. Please react to his solo songs.. they’re a treat to ears 😭🩷
Map of the soul was based on the book Jung's Map of the soul, about the theories Carl Jung created fo psychology "The topic was Carl Jung, the founding father of analytic psychology, who proposed and developed the concepts of extravert and introvert personalities, and the power of the unconscious." "It's not just the album title, though: BTS's lyrics delve into Jungian concepts of the psyche, ego and collective unconscious - with a particular focus on the idea of Persona."
To me, Jimin has a very unique voice, the best way I can think of to describe it is that it sounds very boyish. The only other voice I've heard that reminds me of Jimin's voice is Mark Owen from Take That. Listen to Jimin sing "Dear Army", and listen to Mark Owen singing "Babe". They both sound boyish. In fact, I'd love to hear Jimin sing a song with an emotional story to it like "Babe", a song that has a story so touching that it can make you cry.
One aspect I loved about the MOTS project was the fact that it was part of a global public art project called CONNECT, BTS. There was no project like it at the time. Interlude: Shadow introduced us to the British Indian sculptor Anish Kapoor‘s installation art called “Svayambh” from the inspired red doorway images in the mv. Black Swan had an orchestral version dropped as an “Art Film” and collaborated w the famous MN Dance Co. There are so many things I could go on and on about MOTS 😂 Such a shame that she got overlooked. 😭💜🔥
Oh thank goodness you were able to upload.... I thought this was lost forever. I was trying to watch live at the office (not great idea)! So when I tried to watch later it was blocked. So happy... great reaction... louder than bombs!!! Looking forward to part 3
This was an absolute joy. Also, bonus points for the Aristocats song--that's my childhood right there. 😁 And a BIG thank you to Brigitte and our ARMY ambassadors for putting together this album list for you both. 💜
Yes pleased react to Jungkook's New York Times Square surprise performance. Jungkook always kills his live performances. His stamina and vocal stability while singing and dancing is unmatched. His solo 'BEGIN' had crazy choreography too but his vocal stability was beyond crazy. He performed it LIVE after 5-6 group songs with intense choreography but he still slayed as always.
Phew! Thank goodness you were able to reload...I was like Nooooooo when I came back to find it & it was gone! Shame you had to deal with negativity, but otherwise this was so much fun...Bert & Ernie in full flow! 😄(love the analogy...it made me laugh when I saw the intro, as I haven't seen the Take Two reaction yet). And to end on one of my (and Army's) favourite BTS songs was the cherry on top ☺I absolutely love Louder Than Bombs, it's so atmospheric & the vocals are so good...the ethereal singing from the vocal line, contrasted with the grit of the rap line at a much lower pitch than we were used to -esp Yoongi's growls! - superb! I don't know if anyone mentioned during the live chat, but the guys did a poll of what songs Army wanted them to do live that they didn't usually do, and to their surprise (but not ours) this won! For some reason they just hadn't thought of it - though I think it was Jimin who said it is a difficult song to sing, so that's why they've never done it live. Some of us had been hoping for it at Busan, but no...maybe one day 🙏. Thanks again, I really liked having this longer format to get stuck into the album - maybe you could do this whenever you get around to the earlier ones? I've made sure to put Pt 3 in my diary for next weds, so hopefully I might finally get to join in the madness live 😄Take care guys 👋
Wow, Thank you for this Marathon reaction🙏💖 I had to divide it to different segments because of lack of time, and still I feel so full of impressions now💜I love your interaction and I am giggling along when things mess up, being human is the best thing♥️ I had seen most of the clips except Shadow before, but it was really different to get the songs in a context. I learned new things and listened deeper. Since I am from Sweden I am used to listen to music in all languages, and I understand english rather fluently, but just like you I prefer to listen to the music first.. the melody, the harmonies, the rythm, the vibes.. and if I get a good feelimg, I can look deeper into the lyrics. That also goes for rap.. with BTS I will go wild with anything, and when I started to notice the lyrics as well, it was another beautiful level indeed. They are putting so much effort in quality. I love all the songs but Filter with Jimin is one of the most seductive song/performances I have seen…along with Pied Piper which I hope you will find sooner or later in your BTS exploration, finding 7 stars and a treasurebox of songs and performances✨💖💜💜See you again🙏👍
Note to Brigitte Kahn: I think you have the patience of a saint! These guys (well, mostly Richard) tease you unmercifully and yet you keep showing up with helpful info. Just want you to know that I appreciate you!!!!! 🤗😘💜
Ok this was an amazing reaction! I was laughing so much during this, especially when you were reading the incorrect lyrics. I just kept having the image of Wile E. Coyote falling off or running into cliff with each Ahem😂 and I mean this in the most positive way possible, because it was really a funny and honest reactions to the whoops moments that makes you one of my favorite reactors. Sometimes a too polished reaction comes across as not as genuine, and it’s more fun to experience your reactions in this not so serious manner. Plus you really do vibe with the songs, the way you sway to the music the expressions you have it’s just great to see. Louder than Bombs is one of my very favorite songs by them, so I was super excited to see your take on it, and you didn’t disappoint! I am so looking forward to the next one. Thank you for your reactions!
This is one of the song of BTS that hooked me up and dragged me into the rabbit hole. There's a saying from Army's that you will get hooked to their songs when you're in a bad state that's why they save lives in each of their songs. Like me, when I'm so depressed and hit rock bottom. I heard Spring day, Zero O'clock, Louder than Bombs, Blue & Gray, etc.
I find it so funny when people have Suga as a bias even though they are not originally a fan of rap, because honestly same. I did listen to rap before I got to know BTS but it was very limited to one or two artists with a heavy focus on interesting melodies. I started to like it a bit more in general because of BTS and their love of hip hop culture and especially because of Suga. For me this is more about the messages that he (and also RM and Hobi) convey through their songs and that's what draws me in. (But as I am OT7 and I really love beautiful melodies I definitely like BTSs discography as a whole both musically and concerning the messages.) My two cents on shadow: I think the imposter syndrome also hits you doubly if you are from a poor background like Suga is, because the difference in what you used to have and what you have now is so big that its very hard to comprehend and it feels like the fall (if anything goes wrong) is so much higher and you have so much more to lose compared to the start with having nothing. But also what you said about the two sides: you might be afraid that you lose yourself because of the greed behind wanting to get to the top.
I agree! Also, I think suga mentioned himself that he’s neurodivergent, and neurodivergent people growing up and living in a world designed for neurotypical people have a stronger tendency to have problems with imposter syndrome and self doubt etc. Suga in shadow and in louder than bombs…it’s brain candy for me
@@dopaminish2099Do you know where he said that? Because I only remember one time in some clip and I'm still unsure if he was joking in that moment. (Also don't remember where exactly I saw it. But I wouldn't be surprised if he is nd and it definitely adds another dimension that is very interesting to think about. :)) And totally agree about both songs. His part in ltb gives me chills every time. :))
I refer to that clip when they all tried to meditate, yes. It’s possible that he was joking, personally I don’t want to believe that he was. He’s so aware of mental health issues, so I don’t believe he’d joke about having adhd. And of course it’s a little bit of wishful thinking and projection on my side as a person with adhd, I’m too old to not admit that😅. It’s the same with the interpretating his pill popper lines as pill shaming, I strongly believe that he’d never judge anyone’s strategies to cope with health issues, but he’s not accepting lame excuses for not being honest with yourself. Does that make sense😅? Of course, it’s everything kind of speculative, we don’t know him at all, but I relate to many of his song lyrics and speeches and what he shows in lives and shows from my adhd perspective and it actually helps me a lot to sort out my own brain spice and embracing my flaws and struggles I cannot change, no matter how hard I try.
Hahaha I was so curious how/if y’all would react to the peak sex-appeal moment of Filter 😂👏🏽 The little “😳 he is a good looking guy” was the perfect reaction because same 😂👌🏽 Thank you as usual for the great content! Johnny, I’m always so impressed how you can ear chords and melodies so easily without playing around on the piano to find the key. TALENT. Also glad you guys enjoyed UGH! Side note, they just announced Agust D D-Day Tour music concert will be showing in theaters in April!! I highly suggest going to experience a sliver of what a BTS concert is like! SUGA puts on a fantastic artistic show I know you’ll love-especially Robert since he’s your bias!!
They also named the album Map of the Soul 7 because as you mentioned, it has been 7 years since their debut, and also 7 is a significant number for them because they are also 7 numbers. All the members got a 7 friendship tattoo also. 💜
If you want to hear more Latin-inspired BTS, check out Airplane, pt. 2. (If you want it live, the 2018 MAMA in HONG KONG performance is awesome-- especially JK's samba walk at the beginning :D)
Thank you for this Richard and Johnny. This livestream is up to your usual standards...(haha). That said, i enjoyed all of it! I hope you guys got to read the chat. Some really informed BTS army there (not me)! Also, really great to hear you sing Johnny!
All the members have become brothers, when they do solos, the rest of them encourage each other and are their biggest fans. They know the what is the best thing any one of them can do and are happy when he performs
Jimin’s Filter feels like he’s referring to himself, that he is reflected in everyone else’s filters. It’s like he wants to please everyone, become their filter to see himself.

He looks like a maffia boss with long hair 😂
Suga's SHADOW is one of his many masterpieces' song. He got all the fame and he's in the top now but as what he said " No one told me it's lonely here" .
I remember watching his latest and last episode of Suchwita just recently and his special guest which his bff and also co- songwriters most of his DDay albums , he said, " People think , just because we are in a tour that after the concert we are just drinking and clubbing but he got bored and Suga is always by himself in his hotel room."
I learned a lot from that final episode that Suga is not only a gifted musician but a very kind- hearted beautiful human being.

Thank you both for the reactions , i really enjoyed all the thoughts and perception you had for the boys!
Thank you for the comment and info. We just heard about the movie!! Excited :)

Same girl same a choir girl here and the only rap songs I listen to is rom BTS 💜
Wonderful, and made a heck of a mess at the Palazzo Strozzi!
That is wild!! Thank you for sharing this information.
@@2Chua Did it melt? If so I feel bad for whoever had to clean up 😅The work is so thought provoking and fits beautifully with the themes in this song
@@sarahj3695 haha! Kapoor did several installations with TONS of that red wax. I'm pretty sure it would supply the world with red candles until the end of time. At least. 😅
I didn't know that! That's why I love reading comments. I always learn something!
“My brain gets hijacked” - Welcome to the the BTS experience! They hijack my brain quite frequently!

Filter is about using filters App to see as if through a lens or with special effects on one’s image. Jimin invites his fans to choose how they want to see him, but in the end he is of course in control of what he wants to project. He is the one playing with his persona.
Jimin ahhhhhh
Filter is such a sexy song and Jimin's voice is Insane here.
Jimin's voice in this whole album is extremely beautiful ❤️
Louder than bombs one of my favs. Jimin’s voice gives me goosebumps every time I listen to this song!
On the Map of the Soul album, each rapper refers to a song from their first 3 albums (the Skool Trilogy).
RM Persona refers to his verse from "Skool luv affair" from the album Skool luv affair
SUGA Shadow refers to "Intro: O!
Jimin's voice is my favorite thing ever. Plus he's naturally the sexiest performer 🔥
No it isnt, this is becaude THEY are kind and gererous. Not a single kpop group acts like them and they're korean too
I think there’s a confusion when we talk about ego.
(I'm just beginning to watch this reaction........I'm sure I'll have more to say. lol)
Edit 1: There are videos breaking down these videos.
I love bookish theories videos!💜
@@sallycapotosto6927 since 2012* but yes for them except in very specific cases (as they did with Black Swan), behind the scenes are not the kind of content that may interest them, or perhaps out of curiosity in their personal time ^^
It's ART!
Jimin's charisma in Filter is literally PIERCING my screen somehow 🔥🔥🔥 I TOO HAD TO REWATCH THE QUICK CHANGE AND THAT TOO-SEXY-TO-BE-ALLOWED HIP THING
React to Jin's songs :
1) Abyss
2) Tonight
3) Yours (OST)
4) I LOVE YOU (COVER)
5) AUTUMN OUTSIDE THE POST OFFICE (COVER)
6) MOM (COVER)
You saw Jimin solo dance in the MMA 2019 I Need You- this is such a captivating dance. Filter is another classic music and dance. They are all superstars, I agree. This whole album was a masterpiece!
1:26:00 -- "You can make your own meaning" What a great insight! It's similar to poetry. Robert Frost famously said that when he wrote "The Road Not Taken", he did not embed all the meaning that readers found in it. And yet, we do find that meaning in the words he wrote, whether the artist consciously intended it or not. I think you're right; it's the same with music.
Is that Johnny's beautiful voice 🎵 singing 🎶 in your wonderful new intro? (love U BOTH).
BTS make my 🌎☀️
Yes!

Black Swan intro the most beautiful intro I’ve seen ❤️❤️
must see, legendary live performance I'd love for you to react to as well, is: ❣ BTS (방탄소년단) JIMIN "SERENDIPITY" Live Performance (English Lyrics) 2019 BTS Speak Yourself Tour Japan by BTSPurpleYou. 👍🙏❤🔥😍🔥🔥
Very entertaining to watch two non - rap people loving UGH so “enthusiastically.” 😁😁😁
When I found BTS, I remember thinking that they should do the songs
without rapping.
Filter is fabulous 💜
As far as my understanding goes, the 2nd part of the song shodow was Suga's shodow talking to Suga.
Yes
@Throga Also the Shadow MV is a shortened version of the song
@@DanielleMDM93 Aye that 2nd verse hits hard as well. Don't miss it.
That's a very natural response when watching bts, whether they're just being 7 normal boys or when they're performing 😂
Love the reaction
Can't wait for you guys to hear ON, friends, and outro:ego
Friends was one of the first BTS songs I ever heard.
In live performances, V's voice is stunning. He is so stable and powerflull
I just love love Zero Clock. The vocals are insane!!💜
Just an fyi regarding shadow: the mv is not the full-length song. the second verse is fantastic so I recommend checking out the full song when you get the chance.
This album has some of my fave BTS songs on it--Zero O'clock, Louder Than Bombs, We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal, etc.
Yes, it is an excellent album.
The phrase “louder than bombs” describes BTS perfectly. 😊
On Zero O'clock jimin harmonizes with jin with the high note at the end
Suga struggled with alot of anxiety and depression and shadow eludes to alot of that and the doubts and questions of self worth and having spcial anxiety while also having to deal with all these crowds, pressure etc.
I absolutely lost it when you started reading the wrong lyrics to ugh 😂😂😂😂 i had to go to doolset myself and check because i was like wait that doesnt sound like the ugh i know 😂
yeah that... did not go entirely as planned, lol
And Stay Alive

Thank you for reuploading this. I really appreciate your thoughts and comments. 💜 Through BTS I have learned to love rap as well! 💜
The Spotify version of the shadow is longer and the shadow answers Suga's doubts

They are complete individually but they also sort of
complete each other like anything. 🩷🩷😭😭

LOL I wasn't a "rap girl" either, until Suga and BTS's rap line.
Map of the soul was based on the book Jung's Map of the soul, about the theories Carl Jung created fo psychology
"The topic was Carl Jung, the founding father of analytic psychology, who proposed and developed the concepts of extravert and introvert personalities, and the power of the unconscious."
"It's not just the album title, though: BTS's lyrics delve into Jungian concepts of the psyche, ego and collective unconscious - with a particular focus on the idea of Persona."
I'm so happy that you re-uploaded the video. I had fun watching it. I hope i can catch the live stream next time. :)
I love Kapoor's work.
Oh very cool!!! thank you for that information on her :)
The pandemic is the one to blame for taking a halt on the promotions and being everyone's distraction.

@@jeanbudgetsinjapan4840and then he said, after BEGIN performance, he almost passed out😔

OMG his was so fun to watch! Kudos to your MV guide. Even though you need filters, they really were the best choices!

Jimin is the lead vocalist and one of the main dancers.

Thank you so much for reuploading!!! I missed the live 😭😭😭 so I'm so so glad you reuploaded this video!!!! Appreciate you guys ❤
(But as I am OT7 and I really love beautiful melodies I definitely like BTSs discography as a whole both musically and concerning the messages.)
My two cents on shadow: I think the imposter syndrome also hits you doubly if you are from a poor background like Suga is, because the difference in what you used to have and what you have now is so big that its very hard to comprehend and it feels like the fall (if anything goes wrong) is so much higher and you have so much more to lose compared to the start with having nothing.
And totally agree about both songs.
I'm pretty sure Johnny has perfect pitch!
I was there for that Black Swan performance! It was so beautiful
Best walk ever!
Wow just, Thank you so much for this!! 💜
Thank you for this Richard and Johnny. This livestream is up to your usual standards...(haha). That said, i enjoyed all of it!
I hope you guys got to read the chat. Some really informed BTS army there (not me)! Also, really great to hear you sing Johnny!
Good thing our standards are so low!
@@throga🤣💜
Really enjoyed it guys. Cant wait for part 3. 💜💜
I was fortunate to go to PTD Las Vegas day 3 & 4. Black Swan gave me goosebumps.
You're doing a great job!
Took on an impossible task.
The Genius of BTS!
All the members have become brothers, when they do solos, the rest of them encourage each other and are their biggest fans. They know the what is the best thing any one of them can do and are happy when he performs
It's always so impressive to see how you just perfectly reenact the melody or chords or riffs, wow!
I think the shadow is about fear of loosing what you have achieve or falling from such a high place. Oh I love this song. So unique.
I love you both ❤ you always put a smile on my face
Jimin’s Filter feels like he’s referring to himself, that he is reflected in everyone else’s filters. It’s like he wants to please everyone, become their filter to see himself.
I am really enjoying your reaction. Thank you. ❤
Thanks for taking your time to react to these songs. It must take quite a lot of your time. Really enjoying following along with you :)
Them realizing the lyrics are color coded @1:47:35 and the little "Oh" truly the best reaction hahaha keep up the wonderful work!
