Bernina Express from Chur to Tirano | World’s Most Beautiful Scenic Train

- Today, we're travelling in a panoramic carriage on the incredible Bernina Express scenic train route from Chur, Switzerland, to Tirano, Italy! This 4-and-a-half-hour journey is the most spectacular I've ever experienced. We will cross the Landwasser Viaduct and climb up to the Bernina Pass.

I've seen several travel videos of this train and route. You did a great job with yours, especially letting the scenery do the talking. And really good choice of background music. Two thumbs up! I lived at 2,133 meters in Flagstaff, Arizona, USA for 8 years, surrounding by the Coconino National Forest, but it wasn't even close to this beautiful.
Thank you! I tried to do my best to find music that would be appropriate for such beautiful scenery, and I'm glad you liked it! I've seen some photos from Coconino National Forest, and it looks amazing! Nature in the United States has its own allure, and I hope to have the opportunity to see it for myself in the future!

Going to take this route next year. Read that its better to sit on the right side to have a better view, wondering if the right side appeared as the 'top' seats when you select the train seats on the website?

I remember taking this route in older wagons where windows could be opened. Maybe it wasn't the exact same route, but ended up in Tirano also. I tend to dislike those panoramic windows and prefer open windows and slightly bumpier train.

Hi! If you plan to travel by train in Switzerland for at least a few days, I recommend checking out the Swiss Travel Pass or the Swiss Half Fare Card, as they may be less expensive than purchasing full-price tickets. Children under the age of 6, as far as I know, travel for free.
