Thanks for the vid, and sharing your knowledge. I was just going online to replace my bow saw blade, but I never knew that there were 2 different types... Thanks again.
The only downside I know so far.....the saws are always on back order. Must be a good saw :) I'm on the mailing list, but since I get so much junk mail, I don't know if I'll ever see the announcement of these saws being available.
I have a blade for green wood. Does it make sense to take it for dry wood? Is there such a difference with dry? I believe on green wood is bigger difference having the right blade. Here local, a blade for dry wood is three times more expensive.
Cheers mate! Lots of people discuss the 2 blades but you're the first I've seen actually explain the specific way each functions in a simple manner. A simple but great video! You've earned a subscriber.
Crazy high or crazy low lol. Take a guess at how many hours the take to hand make, multiple that by the hourly wage of hard labour sanding and risking you fingers using table saws, jig saws etc, then add in raw material cost of black walnut, the blade, hardware and leather. I’m curious haha

I was on the wating list from last summer and I got the email last week inviting me to purchase. Saw arrived this morning. Totally worth the wait

Oh ya it will all work regardless. It’s not a massive difference at the end of the day.
I did not know the difference, thanks.
That's a nice setup. You'll probably notice a much bigger difference between blade types on larger cuts.

I've never had a drywood blade cut clear through green wood without getting pinched by the wood swelling. Around here nobody sells greenwood blades.
its not for removing chips
