The Greatest Band In All The Land, The 1# Ohio State University.
Staying as impartial as possible, this feels like an OSU 31-20 type game to me. I think the first half will be tight and the Ducks might even carry a lead into halftime depending on who gets the opening kick. Difference is OSU is very well rested, coupled with two top tier RBs (and a stellar freshman) plus a QB that can run. Kelly likes the run, so if OSU can go up by more than two scores, look for them to pound the ball to shorten the game. Kind of Tressel-like. I think the Bucks will aim for 225+ on the ground.
Agreed
I had 33-20. Same ballpark as you
Unlike Ryan Day, The Chipster won't stop pounding the ball.
And the Buckeyes run defense holds Jordan James in check and forces Gabriel to throw the ball like 40+ times.
wym more rested? when Oregon hasn't played since Friday
Going back to last year Ohio state was 11-1 with less talent and had the champs on the ropes at home. Ohio state upgraded everywhere and thank god Ryan day isn’t calling the plays. Ohio state by two scores.
That's what ppl forget. We played Michigan better then anyone. We should have beat them.
This team is serious and we're gonna find out Saturday. I expect them to beat up Oregon. They haven't looked good this year and they're gonna get exposed in Autzen
It’s the same people from last year y’all paid 30 mil to keep if you don’t win it’ll be stupid 😂
@@Jj6004-n1eyou mean 20 mil vs y’all’s 23 mil… if you wanna play the money game, sure you guys should win, but we both know that THE Ohio State has a much better staff and team all round… good luck Ducks, THE Buckeyes are coming
@Jj6004-n1e 30 million? It was 13 million... stop crying cuz ur school won't spend to improve the roster, SEC been doing it for years...
@@collinsepulveda9670 you can look it up osu spent the most nil Oregon not even top 10 for most nil deals to players Ohio is number 3 under Texas
THE WORLD FAMOUS OHIO STATE BUCKEYES ARE #1.... OSU WINS 38-17
Can I buy you lunch!
i expect ohio st to be able to run the ball good in this game. but if they don’t that will show how good ashton jeantry really is.
Thank God McElroy picked the Buckeyes. Go Ducks!
Lest we forget, Indiana should very well be in this conversation. Check their numbers...undefeated, blowing teams out, ranked in the top 8 nationally on both sides of the ball, stud QB, and winner coach.
Playoffs???
Opponents FIU, Western IL, UCLA,Charlotte, Northwestern, Maryland. It’s the same for Ohio state and Oregon but all teams are unproven.
They will collapse as always. Indiana will always be Indiana.
@Ace-mw9pm ....Your attempt to discredit IU is without merit...EVERY team, especially Power 5 teams, is scheduled to play tomato cans the first 3 or 4 games into the season. It's an AD strategy employed by these schools to ensure wins in an attempt to boost national ratings...it's the business of profit.
Some schools, like Michigan, schedule patsies more often than others. Last year, their championship year, they had the weakest schedule of any Power 5 team in the nation....Ohio State was second.
These experts just look at the numbers. On paper OSU is the better team but in college football that doesn't always matter. Last week Alabama was far more talented than Vanderbilt, and look what happened. When the Ducks played OSU in 2021 they were a much bigger underdog and remember what happened? With that being said you just never know......I'm hoping for a very competitive game.
Yes because that’s all you can do is look at evidence and make a prediction. Once in a while sure you’ll get something ridiculous like Vandy over Bama. Something unpredictable. As for 2021, everyone knew OSU’s defensive scheme was bogus with Coombs. The game against Oregon was just the final nail in the coffin.
Not sold on Oregon’s defensive line?!🤨😒
The #1 Ohio State University.
THE most overrated program every year in college football 😂
PWAR THIS GUY, YOU KNOW WHO THE BEST IN THE GAME IS BABY…..GOOOOOOOOOOAAAHHH DAWWWWWWWWGUUUUUHZZZZZ
@@ScoDucks24 oregon played nobody for years in the pac 12 and still never won a natty
@ScoDucks24 Ohio State smashed the suck ducks in the natty, it wasn't even close🤣
@@RJOld 10 years ago? What happened the last time we played 🤭
2:14 Come on man, enough about Iowa. They are not ranked in the top 25 for a reason. They played Illinois State, Troy, Iowa St and Minnesota. Really, we are going to say they have a top defense in the country after those 4 teams? If their defense and offense were any good, they would be ranked in the top 25.
they was ranked before only reason got unranked was iowa state you a goofy fr
@@negadiv6306 Exactly. Iowa State
Iowa has a better defense than Oregon. Iowa’s defense has been Top 5 in every analytical defensive metric for several years now. They are currently 3rd in FEI and 2nd in F+ in defensive efficiency which takes into account strength of opponent, home field, garbage time, time of possession etc. Oregon is 11th and 14th in those same metrics respectively.
@@osubuckeyefan1313 Do we really think that Iowa has better players than Oregon? Iowa and Michigan State would be a close game.
@@osubuckeyefan1313 We don't even need to use Iowa. Both OSU and Oregon played against MSU. That is sufficient.
My prediction is 38-17 OSU, but I have also said it will be a score that does not truly represent how close the game actually is. I'm thinking like 14-10 OSU at the half, with the Buckeyes pulling away a bit in the second half thanks to their run game. I would not be shocked if Oregon drives inside the 30 two times in the second half, goes for it on fourth down and doesn't convert.
Ok. This very specific. Clearly shows you are entirely delusional about how college football works. Let’s say the game went exactly the way you described… would you actually believe you are a college football visionary or psychic? I have a hunch you would - further demonstrating my point.
@@jdawgspicemcgee Okay, it's just a prediction of what could happen. Let me give you some real knowledge then to shut you up since you decided to be rude. Ohio State has both a top 5 run offense and top 5 run defense. If Ohio State's defense holds Oregon's James in check and Gabriel has to throw the ball 40+ times, well the Ohio State backs in Judkins and Henderson grind out the clock, that would be the difference in the end.
@@HoveringGold ok, so 38-17 is what you are saying? Why don’t you put $1,750 on it if you think it’s so right? Then upload a TH-cam short and tag me if you are the real deal (like Holyfield) with your predictions??
O-H!!!!!!
I-O!!!!!
I - O
Ohio state is going to shine.. 2 scores ahead of Oregon.. my guess!!
Oregon faced the best rushing team in the country but they did not do very well. They were bailed out by special teams and speed
If Oregon doesn't get a pick six or Special Teams TD, they lose
@@suites.74 we played awful, Jeanty went off, and we still won. Will Howard is not ready for Autzen
3 next level runs by Jeanty inflated those run stats enormously. Not an excuse, just saying. Also, our defensive leader and starting MLB Jeff Bassa played very limited reps with a high ankle sprain against BSU. He’s back close to 100%.
@@ScoDucks24 yeah, ok! Sure!👀

Oregon has improved a lot since then on both offense and defense

Ashton jeanty is better than both the RB 1s Ohio state has. this will come down to the qb and oregon has the better qb.

@@330wiz7jeanty is def better than judkins and Henderson you are out of YOUR mind
Who cares if hes better? Hes not THAT much better lmao. And OSU has two of them.
Maybe, but that one, two punch makes the combination better than Jeanty....
@@percyhawkins5825you mean because he pats stats getting a million carries while OSU has both backs splitting carries and we throw to NFL receivers. That dudes stats are padded. OSU backs are faster bigger and stronger
Oregon wins by 3 on a late field goal
that is exactly my thinking.
Dan Lanning we go for it on 4th down like it’s Madden and lose Oregon the game.
fr lol🤣😂
And going for two-point conversions when you don't need to.
Josh pate contacted Michigan State in preparation for the Oregon versus Ohio State game. MSU’s staff said Oregon has a significant advantage on both lines, after they played Ohio State and Oregon in back to back weeks
We will see.
Well this is easily debunked by just googling what Pate said. Somehow "MSU circles" has become "MSU's staff" and "little advantage" has become "significant advantage". It's quite possible that Oregon's O and D lines are better, but OSU has played better in the trenches recently, and OSU has advantages in other areas. Pate thinks the time zone differences will give the advantage to Oregon (OSU playing past their bed times), but most analysts think OSU has too many weapons. IMO OSU could easily blow it wide open in seconds if Oregon makes a few mistakes.
😂😂 34-17 Buckeyes remember this comment and I'll come back
@@xmarkedx Trust me…i am keeping all my receipts for this game. Everyday i do more research on both teams…and Im talking 8+ hrs of research a day while Im working…i gain way more confidence that Ohio State is going to come out to Eugene and absolutely look bad, since the only good team either team has played is Boise State. Infact, I’d bet Idaho would beat 4 of the 5 team Ohio State has played, based on how well coached the top5 team in the FCs plays football.
Ohio State has lost 4 straight against top3 teams, and i think this is 5 straight, on the road, where Big10 road teams travelling 2 or more time zones are, 1-8 this year.
He said slight bit significant. Go ducks
Just win baby!
Oregon is overrated, riding off of last year’s success. Gabriel is not Nix. Inversely, Howard is not McCord. OSU is better than they were last year. 38-23 OSU 🌰
Smoking that mid western meth I see
WE AINT SCARED OF ANYONE

That’s what a scared person would say 😂
“THE” OHIO STATE!
Is there another Ohio State? I just wonder why the emphasis on "THE." Please explain to those new to the Big10.
@@03bruisercatthere are a few OSU’s. Oklahoma State, so on. The “The” differentiates from the others. Theres a lot of pride and pageantry in the program as well, that means a great deal to people in Ohio, granting the emphasis worthy to its large and loyal fanbase.
Let's go Ducks! 🦆🦆🦆
Ohio nervous (; let’s go ducks
Glad everyone is picking OSU. Will be nice to see the sad faces after the game. GO DUCKS!
When Oregon played a top 5 running back they gave up 4 yards a carry to him, now they have to face 2 top 5 running backs so I say the bucks run for 5 yards a carry and pound the ducks 35-20
When the swing starts, I hope Oregon know how to Duck! 😎
I agree with him for once, Ohio state covers go buckeyes.

This is one of the corniest and most annoying analyst
Finally someone with a platform says it. I watched Idaho and Boise State push Oregon's "vaunted" defensive line around on pass plays and run plays. OSU's O line will handle them.
Oregons gotten better since those 2 games. They played better against better competition
@@CashMoneySpongebob34 But so has Ohio State. Their O-Line has been excellent at running and passing blocking.

Easy bro. Your nonconf schedule is super weak. And 8 home games is total bs!
@caisegamble683 Oregon has lost 1 game at home since 2019. 34 out of 35.. It's not gonna be easy..
He's won a playoff game (convincingly at that), and the biggest rivalry game in the sport. He's also won against Notre Dame twice, and he's won in State College, the toughest place to play in the entire country, in my opinion. How are none of those big games?
Lets go Ducks!

@scratchnsniph0121 in no universe will Oregon ever put that many on ohio state. They will be lucky to put up 25
Why is it you all become dilutional when you talk about 2 running backs that don't have as many yards rushing as the 1 running back that Boise State has? I'm not even worried about OSU rushing the ball.
That’s all boise st does is run the ball and they ran it down oregons throats . U def better be worried lol .
@@addysots8988they really didn't and I'm gonna set the record straight right here, jeanty had 25 rushed which consisted of rushes for, 2, 3, 0, 1, 0, 1, 2, 0, 3, 3, 2, and 4 yards. So 12 of his rushes went for 3 or less yards. He really just had like 2-3 really big runs which made it look like he ran all over us which he really didn't

Oregon has better TEs, but that's about it for all the position groups. So if Ohio State takes away Oregon's TEs then they won't know what to do.
Buckeyes by 3 touchdowns!...too much power for Oregon
Oregon is a track school, NO NATTY'S
You are correct, but our top 1500 meter runner did win the Gold Medal in 2024 and back in 2016. As for football, we are "new money" versus the established program of Ohio State. I think the Buckeyes have more talent at this point, but the gap is shrinking.

“Natty or bust” is such a toxic and inaccurate mentality. If OSU wins every game by double digits and then loses a fluke in the quarterfinal to #8 Georgia (just an example), they were still the best team this year. We crown a champ in this sport based on flukey single game samples. The best team almost never wins. When #7 Uconn won March Madness, no one called them the best team, so why do we do this in football?
This is a meat head sport sir, keep all that intellectual s*** to yourself sir. We just do okay!
Talent doesn’t always win. OSU is the best team on paper, because they have the most depth and realistically the most talent in college football an they haven’t played anyone good. So of course they look like the best. But talent doesn’t mean they’re gonna win. And 9/10 if they lose it’s gonna be to the better TEAM, not the more talented team.
you’re delusional with this take.
Ohio State spent approximately 21.3 million dollars in the offseason, and their projected roster value is around 46 million dollars. Ohio State started off with high school teams and an early bye, started off conference play with Michigan State and Iowa to cruise to an easy 5-0.
after the season and they don’t win the championship:
if Ohio State loses to Oregon, Ryan Day might get fired
if Ohio State loses to Indiana, Ryan Day is fired
if Ohio State loses to Michigan, Ryan Day is fired
Scientifically, we don't care. Football rules!!! 😂😂😂
