Oregon is better at QB, TE and equal or better at LB, DL and OL. They are not a lesser team. But I'll take the David in the metaphor since he had God's favor and won that battle.

Hey Pat, 30 year duck fan. First game was when i was less than 6 months old. I live in SoCal and will gladly make the all night 13 hour drive to Eugene if you let me try to kick the field goal!
So I guess it was an Ohio State graduate that designed the Oregon Stadium to be loud for the away team. Of course this was long ago way before they ever knew they would be playing in their conference

The only reason Oregon has a chance is because they're not built like a typical West Coast team due to the recruiting pipelines they've built in Texas and the South. If this were a typical Oregon team made up of players from the Pacific Northwest, California, and Arizona, then Ohio State would win easily because of differences in athleticism and strength.
You honestly believe people in one part of the country are more athletic and stronger than other parts of the country simply because where they were born and live? Lol

Out there, they constantly have little guys playing out of position, and there aren't too many heavy hitters. Players in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, etc are trained at a young age to play NFL-style football. That's why UCLA can't beat anybody in the Big Ten.
This season and college football are completely garbage now more than ever. Spirit of competition doesn’t exist and this is the pay to win highest bidder minor leagues now with zero rules. Ohio buying everyone to try to win and sold thier souls to do it.
