  • In this third video of my PCG Interiors series, we're modifying our bookshelf prop to place random books of the shelves using PCG and learning how to place these modified props, or other blueprint props, into our rooms. This technique gives us great flexibility in our props that can have other static meshes on them, such as: shelves, tables, workbenches, desks, weapon racks, etc. Stay tuned until the end for to get all the information!
In the next part we'll be connecting our rooms together and spawning our rooms in via PCG, so make sure to subscribe so you don't miss the upcoming videos.
Future videos will be available early to silver Patreon supports, and at the Gold level you'll also gain access to the project files. Please support me on Patreon if you're able to:

I am hoping to use something very similar for collectable items on shelves. so for example shop A sells food and drinks and generates them based on the room type, and shop B will sell toys (just to be different from shop A) so will generate toys on shelves based on its room type. I can't wait for more PCG interior guides. I can see real cities and towns filled with actual props generated in rooms coming in the future. PCG has so much potential outside of foliage, which sadly is not shown as much. Thanks for the videos and all the work.
