@@Stones_and_Stories Yes, I have rain coming in at some point and will be binge watching : ) I live near a stone circle up here and have located another a few towns away. I've been interested in 'this stuff' for decades.
You may want to check out the Maine chapter of NEARA (New England Antiquities Research Association). I have found NEARA to be a wealth of information with occasional tours of fascinating sites with experts. neara.org/chapters/Maine.html
I use the chairs and stones as you say here. Stones do have stories to tell. My haunt is lincoln woods and "quarry" with mounds and Manatou bird or spirit bird. Holy ghost birds! Its not limited to religion. We all have a soul and a ghost. Love your channel!
Wow! Did you see all the shapes and symbols at that first sight? The oval shaped boulder (egg) and the diamond (balanced portal) pointer boulder (male)with a large V-shaped notch at the bottom (female) megalith? The megaliths are positioned to point to the solar serpent stone wall. I think those four stones in a row between the megalithic site and the prayer seat are an intermediary reckoning site that would have lined up visually much better before all the trees were there. Speaking of trees it looks like you have a twin “v” tree ahead and to the right of the kerb stone (interesting that you call it a bench )and prayer seat. All those things definitely create sacred enclosures that are separate, but linked through the intermediary sites. those sites seem to be like ones I have seen in other places, including across the ocean that use long shadows at sunrise and sunset to align the different sites. The intermediary stones split a difference and keep the sites aligned so that the medicine people were persons coming to pray know which direction to face, while making their offerings and praying. We have to remember they did not have compasses like we do today at least not that we know of. They used the movement and positions of the Sun, moon, and stars to determine directions. I know that you know that, of course. This is for the benefit of anyone else reading.
Thanks for your work and dedication . Always enjoy your postings.
Thanks for watching!
We love Tully! Thank you Steven ❤💯👍
Maybe I should give Tully his own channel!
