I am glad to see that this Arcee comes with a certain piece that she did used in the 1986 movie while battling against the Junkions, and those who are fans of the 1986 movie will agree with me.
I can only imagine how complex yet accurate TF toys will look like in 20 years from now.

With how much smaller and more expensive figures have been getting over the years, leader class will probably be smaller than a current day deluxe and for 2x normal leader price too

While Arcee isn't perfect by any stretch, I was amazed at how wrong Rouge looked when you put them side by side. Well, that's the great thing about having multiple iterations. You can enjoy your Arcee, and I can enjoy mine. We have lots options, and options....

I really think they omitted a step wherein the chest would slide up to be in a better position.
Yeah, if not you can just do a bit of fan-moding, no big deal.
To me there was two reasons why they ruined the chest -
- just to get it so you can move her arms over to shoot a pistol with two hands.
- to allow for Nightbird's larger head/collar.
Both I think are stupid reasons, for the sake of one pose you ruin a figures aesthetic, and if the other holds true then why not mold Arcee's chest for her and give Nightbird this one?

Freaking Geek, thanks for buying and doing a review of Masterpiece Arcee. I greatly appreciate you pointing out your gripes with MP Arcee. The face, at least to me, looks like an enlarged version of the TF WFC Arcee head. I hope that Fans Toys reissues their Arcee, like they just did for Apache (aka Springer).

These Masterpiece figures are way less impressive nowadays considering the money they charge for them when the normal figures have gotten so much better.
They're also less impressive considering third parties make better figures for the same or less (TE-01, FT Arcee, etc.).
@@Daniel-mw7pu te-01 is one third the price of mp-44 while being better in many ways.
mp-44 that has a massive backpack,horiffic bed of the truck,breakable legs and 500 dollars
TE-01 only 100 dollars and has no backpack and kibble
unique toys challenger only 100 dollars has no backpack and hyper detailed
@@durrellgabrieloliman5427 TE-1 is really great for it's price. I don't think Unique Toys is hyper-detailed though, it's quite the opposite because it has less detail than even an MPM figure does.

I actually like the robot figure centric aesthetic, and really prefer that MP's do not look "toon-accurate".

This Arcee fits in perfectly with MP Ultra Magnus and Hot Rod, which is more appropriate than fitting in with the more recent MPs.

This is the 1st time I disagree you Emgo. Just got the figure recently and it is the most cartoon accurate Arcee figure. Fans toys looks like a Cougar WNBA player lol. Anyway, great review as always.

The more I see details of this figure, the more I feel like EX-01 Nicee isn’t that bad at all. Nicee’s very sexualized but it’s open and clear about it, whereas the Masterpiece figure feels like it’s trying to hide it somehow. Idk, it just feels like it’s less creepy when being sexy in nature is intended and open rather than obvious yet subverted.

Fans Hobby Athena and Earthrise Arcee have convinced me removable backpacks are the way forward for fembots
She is fun to pose. Her articulation for the price is a great deal. Sold my azalea this will be my shelf Arcee

Hi Emgo, great review, however, I went with the Ocular Max Azalea for my MP Arcee on shelf, sure, while not perfect, I think the essence of Arcee is captured well by it. I've had doubts about MP51 Arcee and your review kinda confirmed my doubts. Haven't had an FT Rouge in hand to mess with, so I'm going to stick with the "Little Lady" Azalea

This feels like what the cartoon tried to make arcee look like originally, like it was inspired from the curvy robot art of the 70’s 80’s. Although the face is just a tad bit too sharp i agree. Good review!
Let's be real, I kinda wanted him to compare her to exosuit Daniel considering how he was also in the movie and would fit with the movie cast.
Waiting on mines I like her she is cartoon accurate and look better in comparison with the other Arcee she looks more like a girl with curves that's on point a female robot.

Bought this figure a couple days ago. Extremely excited to get her. I personally love the look of the figure so I had to make it the first masterpiece I get.
Looking at a picture of movie Arcee, and admittedly the artwork in the movie was often inconsistent, her chin actually is that pointy. However, it was a single picture that doesn't necessarily speak for the whole movie.
I still fancy the buxom Nicee. :-)
Regarding your comparison to the Thrilling 30 Arcee, do you think that this Arcee could be downscaled to CHUG size to fit in with a CHUG collection, like how that KO company years ago downscaled MP-10 into a Voyager?
it could be, just a case someone actually doing it.
I could see there being a market for it, especially if they improve the position of her chest pannel. I could see myself getting one because the Earthrise one I currently have... it fills the hole in my collection, but there's room for improvement.
She was the best Autobot from 86 and 87 besides Fort Max.
The crusher was the coolest thing Arcee did in that chase scene in the movie i thought to give it an up but my expectations went down seeing where it goes in car mode. HOW will anyone who does toy photography do the entire movie 86 chase scene in Junkyard planet?

I think this and Ocular Max Azalea look way better than the Fanstoys version.

This toy has a bad case of "pixar mom." Emgo was right, I went and looked back at the animation model from movie screenshots, she was much more practical in her 'proportions'. I do like this vehicle mode better, so if you put up different displays for the robots and the vehicles, this would make a fine addition to that collection (yes I just did that). I do also like the face slapping mechanism and the effects parts and the weapons. But he's right, the extra curvy hips and the ps1-Lara-Croft chest are too much.

My main problemo is that 3 other 3rd party companies have pulled off arcee and had the show accurate backpack(well maybe toyworld doesn’t count because the vehicle mode had a lot of junk in the trunk).
