Best Gibson clone on the market today; very close to the prewar Gibson!

The danger of getting the head too tight is damaging the head. I had mine on the too tight side for a while, and it went pot. I found the head was split just above the metal ring on the head. Lesson learned. Of course the sound gets thin and pingy when it's too tight.

Whoa!!! I never knew that about banjos! Does your hand, during normal playing, move the bridge out of intonation? Guitars have a fixed bridge, with movable string blocks for each string. Played guitar for 30 years and now, because of deep love for bluegrass, I am thinking of learning how to play a banjo! It does look challenging!!!

I could use some pro tips on fret buzz --- occurring on different parts of the neck --- and how to fix this type of problem. I have major fret buzz on the 16th and 17 frets of my Sullivan banjo.....

Hey Ben, what's the name of those type of capos? I have a Shubb now but I've been meaning to find one like that I can leave behind the nut.

I would love to have a burled walnut lancaster huber banjo, but, my skill level just doesn't deserve me to have such a fine instrument when someone else should be making music with it. Hey steve, if you ever put one on sale, i'm your guy. Make a nice retirement present to myself. 39 years at Anhueser-Busch, St. Louis Mo. Love your pik'n too. sunburst 64, aka, unclebanjo

Too bad he didn't say what the measurement should be for string height at the last 2 frets.
