Same here honestly, I use both REFERENCE and MetricAB but I was looking for a quick solution and here we are 😅. Obviously I locked frequency ranges but tested it on a few tracks and those are enough for quick comparison

I also have MetricAB but I made this rack to check things much quicker. You can even keymap the knobs and use them with a shortcut. As said at the beginning, analyzers are super helpful yet sometimes I just want a quick comparison without opening plugins

@@tkwakwari my side quest is to convince as many people to use Live and leave FL in the dungeons 😂 but now fr - I was using FL back in 2008-13 and although I have good memories with it, moving to Live was a day-night experience. Obviously FL got better but I’m just too nerdy to leave Ableton. The only option above is Bitwig but honestly once you get really good and fast in your DAW of choice, there are way less technical reasons to switch nowadays

Id like to point out that if you just make a mix bus as your master channel then route the reference to the master you can avoid most of what you did lol

Good point, if someone uses sub mixes or makes a separate mix channel, clearly the reference part isn’t needed until… you need constantly solo reference 😉😂

does this only work for Ableton 12? I can't seem to drag the audio effect rack on the master

no matter where i try to open the rack (master, audio, midi, return), it says "only audio effects can be placed on this track"
Ok just checked everything, seems like Live 11 doesn’t support it, working on a fix

There was an issue at first but I fixed it right after the video dropped. Can you specify?
@@Zdrewe it says the preset appears to be broken and this also happens with utility plugins and tape stop you mentioned earlier, is that a problem from my end downloading them in a incorrect location or just the difference in abelton versions is the reason?

bro i gotta disagree on the subs part. Ive been on an 8 hour pure dub techno closing, with focus on basslines and of course the tones of the bassline are more in the mids but the floor was vibrating for 8 hours straight and it was one of the best closings ever. Laure Croft b2b Lacchesi soo good
