Speeky, what an excitingly enjoyable interview on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles memories from the 80's and nostalgia with Trevor Zammit! Your discussion resonated straight with the heart strings and took me back to the past of TMNT, Ghostbusters and He-Man cartoons that we would watch with our Mom! I feel blessed to have been born in the 80's, a groovy time of cartoon characters and movie times! I remember watching the TMNT cartoons and loved Sensei Splinter's hospitality and his and the TMNT's protectiveness towards April O'Neil. I did not know that they featured April's aunt too! It would be heartwarming to make toy lines of all the TMNT original characters' extended family members like her aunt! I was most familiar with the original TMNT characters and skateboarding adolescent-like Mondo Gecko. That Rex-1 character is a monster-sized mutation! I was thinking how fun it would be to make the Technodrome into a mutating machine where the toy figures go through a makeover and be disguised into different or become new mutants! I can just imagine the pure joy on children's and their parents' faces if they were given Crayola washable color finger paints to splatter on the mutating figures in the Technodrome and match their colors with their finger painting on the outside of the Technodrome. They could make their own color splashing TMNT show of cartoon character mutations and variations! You and Little Geek-E would have a colorful celebration with that! I related so much with Trevor's dedication to making the toy characters we did not have growing up because it reminds me so much of reclaiming our lost childhoods! We live but once, so let's make it as festive, vibrant and joyous as the cartoons and movies from our childhoods!

Would love a NECA version of the 2003 or 2012 TMNT. Would also love to see them get Battletoads license. Would also wish they made some of their cartoon iterations more easily accessible.
I wouldn't rule out 2012, we go into that even further in episode 2. 100% Agree on 2003, so many fun characters from that iteration as well. Battletoads would be fun as heck from Neca, until then, bigbadtoystore also has really some fun ones currently up for preorder that fit in nicely with the NECA TMNT figures, if you haven't seen those, you'll def want to check those out

Trevor has mentioned an ultimate cartoon April a few times in interviews. I hope they redo the body to be toon accurate in size - so the height of Vern. We probably won't get that, but it'll still be awesome to get it out there again, and with multiple new (and more accurate) heads.

Rex-1 has been one of my most anticipated figures, ever since Neca started this line. So I am way excited for this figure! Now bring on M.A.C.C. as well and my wishlist is pretty much complete! :D
100% Rex-1 was one of our top picks as well, and the figure absolutely met our expectations! Agree MACC is 100% needed too, with Neca’s love for robots we are guessing we won’t have to wait too long :)
Definitely not in the minority. TMNT 3 is a given. We'll definitely get figures from the third movie. Even if you hate it, the designs are awesome. And I'd love updated versions of the Jim Lee Image Turtles. I got the three Playmates made, and the line was cancelled before we got Leo.
Image comic variants 100% (but also so many fun Image characters in general I hope get the toy treatment as well, Pimiko, King Komodo, shredder raph, cyborg donnie just for starters), and yes, fully on board to get tmnt 3 variants, those could be pretty fun, NECA would knock those out of the park no doubt

Those six Diamond Select Real Ghostbusters figures are in my top 5 most prized lines. Really sucked they got canceled so prematurely. NECA obviously would do the best job out there with making versions from the cartoon, and flesh it out so much more. Knowing that each Ghostbuster would have their own unique show accurate body. Besides them, Dick Tracy (it's like that epic movie never existed with a lack of figures), Harry Henderson, Johnny 5, Space Balls, new Beetlejuice figures, and more Dark Crystal & Labyrinth have been dream figures for so long.

They're coming! They teased a mirage casey jones and the utroms in their robot suits... a couple years ago there was also a tease of mirage april in 2 alternate colors. They teased at new sculpts of mirage turtles too. I have faith that these will happen or be fully revealed this year.

Trevor sounds like my kindred spirit lol, I was exactly like him growing up, except he went into sculpting toys, and I animate for films, but would love to be doing what he does.
I wouldn’t be surprised if perhaps we might see him offered again at some point, but there was a neca store window he was offered right around toy fair

Yes! I knew action figures of Hamato Yoshi, Bebop, Rocksteady and Baxter Stockman in human form and Rex-1 would be made for the NECA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon line, I just knew it. I hope we'll also get action figures of Oroku Saki (before he became The Shredder) and LEX as well. I would've preferred a cartoon Hamato Yoshi and Oroku Saki figure 2-pack (just like how it was done for the 1990 movie figure 2-pack), a figure 2-pack of Bebop and Rocksteady in human form and a figure 4-pack of the punk gang that Bebop and Rocksteady were part of of the earlier episodes of Season 1.

Yes! I knew action figures of Hamato Yoshi, Bebop, Rocksteady and Baxter Stockman in human form and Rex-1 would be made for the NECA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon line, I just knew it.
I hope we'll also get action figures of Oroku Saki (before he became The Shredder) and LEX as well.
I would've preferred a cartoon Hamato Yoshi and Oroku Saki figure 2-pack (just like how it was done for the 1990 movie figure 2-pack), a figure 2-pack of Bebop and Rocksteady in human form and a figure 4-pack of the punk gang that Bebop and Rocksteady were part of of the earlier episodes of Season 1.

Speeky, what an excitingly enjoyable interview on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles memories from the 80's and nostalgia with Trevor Zammit! Your discussion resonated straight with the heart strings and took me back to the past of TMNT, Ghostbusters and He-Man cartoons that we would watch with our Mom! I feel blessed to have been born in the 80's, a groovy time of cartoon characters and movie times! I remember watching the TMNT cartoons and loved Sensei Splinter's hospitality and his and the TMNT's protectiveness towards April O'Neil. I did not know that they featured April's aunt too! It would be heartwarming to make toy lines of all the TMNT original characters' extended family members like her aunt! I was most familiar with the original TMNT characters and skateboarding adolescent-like Mondo Gecko. That Rex-1 character is a monster-sized mutation! I was thinking how fun it would be to make the Technodrome into a mutating machine where the toy figures go through a makeover and be disguised into different or become new mutants! I can just imagine the pure joy on children's and their parents' faces if they were given Crayola washable color finger paints to splatter on the mutating figures in the Technodrome and match their colors with their finger painting on the outside of the Technodrome. They could make their own color splashing TMNT show of cartoon character mutations and variations! You and Little Geek-E would have a colorful celebration with that! I related so much with Trevor's dedication to making the toy characters we did not have growing up because it reminds me so much of reclaiming our lost childhoods! We live but once, so let's make it as festive, vibrant and joyous as the cartoons and movies from our childhoods!
