Ain't gonna lie, he was the single most Mirage thing in the entire movie. He's also one of the few humans we ever see affected by the mutagen (in an adaption where ooze doesn't turn you into an animal hybrid). I always wondered what he looked like under the mask.
@@Machete87rights issues too. We had Toka and Razhor because Bebop and Rocksteady were created for the cartoon and the movie only had rights for characters in the book.

I had the same question. My mom just told me everything must have been made with Spandex 😂 And, hey, a lot of the time, smart and strange go hand in hand, for real.
It’s great to hear that someone is paying attention to all the little things behind-the-scenes and around the TMNT movie, but forgot to mention that the turtles were going around as a music group singing for the fans, which is the reason behind the turtle rap
17:58 Krang actually made an appearance in the 2003 series as one of the Utroms. Long before the 2012 series, it was an amazing callback to the original cartoon.🤘🏼
They gave an Utrom the name "Krang" as a nod to the 87 Cartoon. The 2012 Series Made the Kraang (yes spelled that way) a whole race than one being and were more brain shaped than the Utrom. I Think the Kraang and the Utrom should both exist in some version of a TMNT series and have the Utrom on earth as refugees from the Kraang who were a warring race on a planet in their solar system... at least, that's my idea. I get 2003 did something like that having Sh'rell being a criminal overlord Utrom, but you could have him and the Foot just be a similar species alltogether.
One of my favorite 90s films, didn't realize Keno caused Shredder to mutate, because the turtles literally say "he must've drank it" a few moments later but it breaking from the karatay impact makes a heck of a lot more sense
31:59 Didn't mention that the Donatello suit performer ALSO had an out of costume cameo as a lead foot soldier before the Shredder returns. I thought this was supposed to be "ALL" the Easter eggs.
I remember getting a bootleg VHS copy of it while on holiday, which was just before the film was going to be released, and it was the best thing ever to have that VHS and be able to watch it on holiday before the official release 🤩
24:25 - My VHS tape used to get scrambled right at this part of the movie, and if I let it go, it would stop the tape. So when I saw Raphael notice Shredder, I knew it was time to fast forward the tape 30 seconds or so 😆
Just met Todd W Landen the screenwriter for the 1st and 2nd movie back in September here in London, Ontario at comic con and he confirmed his idea to show at the end credits, Professor Perry sneaking off to a broom closet with the can of ooze he had, kinda weirdly stroking the canister and then slowly pulling up his shirt revealing an Utrom. Todd was an absolutely world-class guy too.
I know its a big ask but please can the 2012 series be covered on this channel? Theres so much in there. As a life long turtle fan (in my 40s now) its actually my favourite to watch as it covers everything turtles related and even things as obscure as Halloween 3!

My older sister took me to see this when I was a kid. I remember getting it one Christmas. I was obsessed with TMNT back then. It used to be my favorite one of the 3 that came out in the 90’s but as I’ve gotten older the 1st one became my favorite. I think I can quote most of the lines in this movie because I’ve seen it so many times.

I can't believe parents were so petty in the early 90s. I knew nothing about any of those complaints because TMNT mania was real. I thought it was strange the turtles weren't using their weapons and the film wasn't as dark as the first film.
Nader was an environmental activist, w/ a major issue being Dolphins caught in Tuna nets. I believe the joke was to complain to him, not thank him. Keeping w/ the films overall message. Also, Tokka wasn't wild. He was a cub from the Bronx Zoo. Still, Great Video bro, Turtle Power!
This movie and Batman TAS are the core of my childhood, both in soundtrack and just vibes, idk how to describe it. To this day, if I see the New Line Cinema intro I think its going to be this movie. Excited about this one 😁
I think Michelangelo’s Ralph Nader joke was meant as a reference to Nader’s commitment to environmental causes like cleaning garbage out of the ocean- specifically things like those plastic rings they put on six packs of soda cans, which animals can get caught in if not cut up and disposed of properly. One animal in particular often used as an example was… get ready… baby sea turtles. They crawl in, get caught, and as they grow, their shell becomes deformed and they die. That’s why you should always cut up those soda can rings before you throw them away.
Hamilton Perkins was my Sensei, and he was a stunt double for Rahzar and a foot soldier. I have a picture somewhere of him with the turtles without their full costumes on. I was a huge TMNT fan as a kid, so this movie has a special place in my heart, although it isn't as good as the 1st movie.
I only found out like 2 months ago that since someone complained about the violence of the first movie, the Turtles didn’t use their weapons in this sequel. I didn’t go back and watch to confirm that.
What I remember from my childhood is that nes bebop and rocksteady were bosses that made me memorize their attack patterns, the cartoon show highlighted they were dumb goons, and the movies made tokka and rahzar hella scary replacements... especially the scam donut scene
I wish we'd gotten a proper TMNT 3 where they expanded the story of TGRI and revealed the Utroms. TMNT 2 while not as good as the first is still a really fun film. I loved it more than the first when I was a kid. Corey Feldmans voice never suited Donatello. The TMNT 2 voice was far more appropriate.
I thought the truck with the radioactive material in the canisters(because yeah that’d be very safe to drive around casually)that made Daredevil go blind is also what mutated the turtles? 🤔 Also don’t forget Daredevils sensei was named Stick Turtles:Splinter 🤔
I heard from a friend that the scene where the turtles are on the couch watching TV before watching April and Prof. Perry. How this is significant is the Coming Out of Their Shells Tour was touring while this movie was being filmed in 1990
Shredder survives being crushed by a garbage truck at the end of the 1st TMNT movie but he supposedly dies due to being crushed by a collapsed pier while as Super Shredder in 2. plus, Tokka & Rahzar both appear as boss battles in TMNT III: The Manhattan Project

At one point, Mike gets pounded by foot clan ninjas and then climbs out of the pile watching them still pounding down. In the mall earlier on, this exact thing happens in the background.
Love this movie, love the first one. The first one is among my top favorite movies of all time. Great little deep dive. Not that I want to be the "actually guy", but the reason why Super Shredder is so dumb, is sort of explained in the movie. Professor Perry does explain to the Turtles that he did contaminate the ooze, in order to make Tokka and Rahzar less intelligent and there more less dangerous. And it's very likely that Shredder's last little vial of ooze is from the very same contaminated batch. Just wanted to point it out, because a lot of people does seem to miss that part, when talking about Super Shredder. Now if the writers themselves had that in mind, is a whole other discussion. XD
I always figured Keno knew the turtles stayed with April because they took and paid for the Pizza that was being delivered to her apartment and she never called to ask where her Pizza was which was the dumbest thing the turtles could do seeing as how they are trying to lay low and not be discovered.
Big shoutout to MT and Steesh for all their work on this video. Hope you guys enjoy it.

“Shortcoming’s”? Secret of the ooze was great.
And to be fair to Keno, those girls called him a “Dweeb” first.
