IU has such a beautiful emotional voice and she's also an amazing actress. Add in Tae's acting...Fantastic. Would love to see them in a movie together when the boys return from their military service. ❤

There are a few behind the scenes videos, one in in IU TV, when V his using the stick he is actually yelling. It is a powerful scene.

This MV really was a mini movie! But what a rollercoaster of emotions, both through the video visuals and IU'S beautifully haunting voice.
When I first watched it, I was left asking, "Why? Because they are not perfect?"(deaf/mute, blind) One theory is the boxes represent the neitizens/standards K-pop idols have to live up to. They disregard you if you have any flaws. I could see that.
I had heard of IU, but never listened to any of her music. I will definitely be checking it out. She is a talented lady! And kudos to V for his acting in this MV as well!

IU can't hear and V’s one eye can't see ,in the end IU covered the good eyes of Taehyung so he won't see the horrible ending in front of them ,im Stuck at how a single tear from Taehyung’s good eye traced its path down his face and IU’s hand gently covered his eyes, It's as if he found a momentary refuge in her touch, offering a subtle relief from the overwhelming sensation ... AH I CAN'T STOP CRYING 😢😢😢😢😢😢
V AMAZING acting out all these emotions of fear happiness sorrow furious, in a 5 minute music video is crazy because we see actors failing to act out a single emotion in an 1 hour long episode but here he is, the versatility is showing 😭They they forgot what they were running from because through the lens of the camera, they were able to just love and enjoy life until the reality caught up to them and they were taken away ICRY 😭😭😭😭❤❤😮❤

People who love V as much for his kind heart as for his talent and good looks will love IU for the same reasons. If you want to better understand why IU is considered Korea’s “National Singer” - take a look at her Wikipedia page, which will blow your mind. She has produced her music and MVs since 2015 (Chatshire)…, writes her own lyrics, and has composed some of her most famous songs - such as Palette, which features G-Dragon.
Something many BTS fans likely don’t know is that two of V’s closest friends are also close with IU. Park Seo Joon co-starred with IU in the film “Dream” (V and JK attended the premiere), and Choi woo shik was the male lead for her “my old story” MV…
One last thing I think many people miss with this new MV and song… listen again to the very end, after she says the last “love”…and you will hear her last breath. As you will find as you learn more about IU…she pays attention to every little detail.

IU is a legend in k-pop & k-drama with over 16 years of experience. She debut 5 years before BTS did and is beloved by the entire nation. Her backstory and struggles is in itself a documentary worth watching. The behind-the-scene (the making of) this m/v was also recently dropped. I recommend a viewing also. IU and V are both talented actors/singers..coupled with the award-winning director and music composer who did justice on this song, this evokes a huge success on instilling heartfelt admiration among us who watch it.

In all my 60+ yrs, i hav NEVER seen such a sad but BEAUTIFUL "movie" let alone a freakn "music video" like this ever...I thort it couldn't b more perfect but in the early part of it wen the director picked up V was looking in the opposite direction to his blind eye, I thort "yep, this guy knows his business" cos even the most tiniest detail is important to him AND I understand now y IU thort of V to star in the mv even tho her boyfriend is a awsum actor himself...loved ur reaction 👍👍
IU is one of the most loved and respected artist in SK. She is multitalented since she writes most of her songs and compose, acts, produces, etc. her songs are touching and relatable and most of her songs and MV’s have lots of metaphors. I love IU & BTS, happy listening to!

Watching Patrol Nation; this big burly guys face change during this video was wonderful. You could see his emotions engaging each moment, each scene. His eyes smiled as he watched the scene of IU eating at the table. You could see his heart getting squeezed by the story line. The Pile of clothes setup the whole video. The acting by both was top tier and the cube was so ominous. Loved this reaction!

Thank you for reacting to this MV. What a beautifully acted performance by both IU & V. Beautiful idols and wonderfully talented. I shed tears with each view. Their innocence and purity in their brief moment of utopia against the terrifying reality makes their demise all the more painful. An absolute work of art. I hope it gets all the awards and accolades it deserves.

IU is the most successful female singer in South Korea. She debuted in 2008 at the age 15, 10 months after she was signed by a small company. She started to audition at the age of 13 and was rejected 20 times. Can you image being 13 and going to these big public auditions and being told NO not once or twice and even 3 times but 20 times and continuing to go to the next one. Due to the families financial trouble IU and her brother were at this point living with relatives who were less than supportive of IU efforts. So she not only had to overcome the rejection she had to overcome the adults in her household who were saying she should stop all the foolishness and focus on her studies.
There is a video of her being interviewed before her audition at JYP Entertainment (the largest entertainment company in Korea). She is all smiles and when asked how will it be if she isn't accepted, to which she replied, that will be ok because I know I will be one a singer. The President of JYP has often joked that if he could find the person who rejected IU he would fire them on the spot.
IU became a National Star in Korea in 2010 when she had 2 songs reach #1 on the charts Goid Day and Nagging. Since the she has had 32 songs reach number #1 more than twice the number of anyother artist (solo or group) in Korea. She has won over 150 awards ranging from Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Lyricist of the Year, Producer of the Year, Composure of the Year, Artist of the Year and acting and modeling awards.
She became the first female to headline a Concert at the Olympic stadium in Seoul, on Sept 18 & 19 of 2022, where the 90,000 tickets were sold out in 30 minutes with just under a half of million people waiting in the Que.
With this MV she ties BTS for songs debuting at number 1 and she is the only female to achieve that in Korea.
In Jan of 2023 Rolling Stone Magazine added her to their list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time.
She is a true generational talent.
She is also very humble & generous. She is known for her philanthropy (donating in the billions of won). Her concerts have gone on for 2 or 3 extra hours because she'll just grab a chair and an acoustic guitar and talk with the audience and sing whatever songs. She constantly interacts and encourages new Korean artists and has collaborated on various projects & songs with many artists. She really does appreciate and do a lot of things for her fans (known as Uaenas). In South Korea is known as the "Nation's Little Sister" or the "Nation's Sweetheart".
I cry again....I watch this MV over n over again...because Ican feel how beautiful their love till the end...love dont mind what ever condition you are....really love it as you said...I agree with u.....😢

IU is a beloved artist and has been around about 15 years. I believe she has her own label.
Here is some extra info about the music video... Director Um Tae Hwa released a guide explaining the MV and gave 4 Key points.
First, the "cube" signified the discrimination and oppression that are prevalent in the daily lives of the main characters.
Second, the "camcorder" represents the "lens of love," an important "device" that allows us to look at the beautiful things in the world beyond the internal or external appearance of the characters.
Third, IU and BTS V became the main characters in a "survival story of a dystopian worldview of someone who cannot speak and sees the world only through his left eye." Despite the difficulty, feeling hurt and exhausted, they relied on each other despite "cube" and tried to overcome it in the end.
Fourth and last, the "wedding dress and tuxedo" symbolize the "fruit of love." At the end where they are seen rising in the air, it depicts that they are finally "free to fly away from all kinds of oppression and pressure."

IU is the greatest of all time Kpop artist. She like Michael Jackson in Korea. Saying just Taylor Swift is downplaying her decades of achievements to kpop and kdrama industry.
