    Explosions, rockets, zombie horde, rifle bullets whizzing by.

    Been enjoying watching you play, and got me back into playing again. That said, you really need to start using attack move. Can't even count how many times you've sent your guys running into danger and yelled at them like it was their fault, then I've yelled at you for not using attack move. :D

    Before attacking villages of doom get all the zombies from them killed. More exp for your snipers really helps at the end. And move the veterans to the back so they don't steal kills from regulars.
    Also theres no point in making gates on the edges of the map. Just wall it off and zombies will have harder time getting in.

    Pravus, one thing I have noticed is you never build Executer turrets until too late. While yes they do take up lots of resources, they more than makeup for that with their amazing defensive capabilities. Also, you don't seem to train enough Titans - when you were playing the frozen highlands you only trained 1 - and they are the best. If I were in your position, I would be pre-emptively placing Executor turrets just in case as you can always scrap them if you want to move them further outwards. Your videos are great none-the-less so keep up the great work!

      Executors are not needed until the last waves on Nightmare population, they definitely aren't needed here. But the lack of Ballistas is depressing. Ballistas take care of any non-wave situation. Also the Thanatos are just asking for it as they are a max noise unit who will draw the entire map, not a good idea to defend with them until final wave imo. Titans are just better in every way on this map, good to clear, fast to get a few to help defend, not as noisy, can tank Giants etc.

    Nice 1-2 minute intro. Sounds as if pulling out a win would require a lot more to go right than wrong. As Murphy is sure to put his nasty who-knows-where-it's-been thumb on the scale, the tension mounts... I'm really enjoying this series.

    With the village gone, you should be able to clear enough of the map. Keep in mind that your early use of Thanatos pulled quite a bit of the west near your base already. The map is a bit rough with no choke points in the north so you will have to pay VERY close attention to where the trails are going to come in from. The last 10 minutes of this video should give you a really good idea of the main attack routes of the final attack. The south isn't too bad as it already has fall back point. Likely you will have to delete most of the north in the final attack, but that should save the north. It looks winnable, but it will be rough. Good luck!

    I believe someone mentioned that those cracks which block building are water; would it be possible to plop a fisherman's hut on them for a bit of extra food?

    Let's hope the next wave doesn't come from the north or this will go ugly pretty fast.

    I never understand why you don't research towers that just shoot passively (ballistas, shock, executors etc). You say "late" game, you ARE late game.

    • @ElMountainMan
      @ElMountainMan 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      because the towers make so much noise. The immediate areas around the base havn't been cleared yet. a single tower can create a chain reaction that will wipe you easily. Not to mention the upkeep cost on towers, would kill his economy. You really don't need towers until the last couple waves.

    You should consider lone sniper towers with 2 walls/gates around it to cover your out of wall resource collectors.

    Something I've noticed about the last 3 parts (and too, into this one) is that you never seem to sell your resources. You're constantly full on wood and stone. Constantly full on... oil? I'm not sure what the bottom one is. And I know this is 3 years late, but it's driving me nuts. You'd have so much more gold to work with if you sold once in awhile.

      I'm under the impression that it auto-sells anything over cap once the market is built. Grain of salt, I haven't played the game, I'm just pretty sure he's mentioned that in at least one of the TaB series. What's killing me is not recycling obsolete walls and gates, especially given how maze-like and pressed for space the inner parts of the base are.

    Evry lil bit counts on games like this i see this patern way to often you can and probly should upgrade evrything as it helps you servie that much more. It a sugestion. But i noticed youre a bit to picky on what needs upgraded. I always belive that evry lil bit counts. Good luck tho love these videos.

    Out of curiosity, what do Lucifers do? I haven't seen them used at all, so I don't know why they're "useless".

      From wiki I read they are flamethrowers, but they cannot shoot through walls

    • @benjaminfinlay829

      @@kamilm.7475 Ah. That means they're great for heading out and clearing the infected, but nearly useless when on the defensive. I can understand why Pravus doesn't like them.

    • @dennisuerling899
      @dennisuerling899 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@benjaminfinlay829 , The ENTIRE map is based on prepping for the final attack. Lucifers are useless for that which is why nobody uses them. They don't do enough flame AoE damage as well, so they aren't that good for clearing the map either as they can be easily overwhelmed by attacks from multiple directions. If the range and damage of the flame were increase or if it were made more of a squad type unit, "maybe" it would warrant them being used. Until then, Lucifers are beyond garbage and you are better off not using them.

    • @METALFREAK03
      @METALFREAK03 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dennisuerling899 I use them, I like making "hot kettles" (basically traps) where they are just beyond the defenses. Yes they do die, but thats their job. It's to distract for the final wave. And before that they are really good at heading your frontline...unless you have a bunch of rangers to soak up hits, lucifers are better.

    • @user-ov3wr3fh5m
      @user-ov3wr3fh5m 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@METALFREAK03 I feel like the best strategy if you want to use them is to make a thin funnel filled with Lucifers at the end. But why spend the resources if there's better options

    Watching this series got me to start playing this game again however all of my games seem to crash at the same point (auto saving around day 13) which corrupts my save. While I am glad you are not having the same problem as me I can't help but wonder why. Do you backup your saves? Is that even possible?

  • @UtterlyShagged
    @UtterlyShagged 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Pavus, this is a very late question, but does They Are Billions have Shift+Click (waypoint) movement? If they have, you can solve your problem of the AI walking right into a horde.
