Hi, Sue! Thanks so much for swatching out these turquoises. I always find swatching videos helpful since I can compare and contrast different paints. I love the granulation and hues of these paints. Even though cobalts have average tinting strength, these paints still seem to pop off the page.
The helio turquoise won't granulate because its a PB15 mixture.the rest are all part of the cobalt family so they will all granulate :) Its a nice convinience mixture for a non granulation turquoise. Nice comparison video! Good info
thank you so much for this comparison video! i keep coming back to it as a reference cause i keep getting tempted by this colour and its granulation. i love the granulation of pb36 in daniel smith's cerulean blue chromium, one of my most used colours. i initially got the Winsor & Newton Cobalt Turquoise, mistakenly thinking it was a single pigment PB36 but it's a two pigment mix that doesn't granulate much.. it seems to be the same shade (in this video) as the schmincke cobalt green turquoise and daniel smith's cobalt turquoise without the granulation. ahh kinda sad to have gotten the wrong brand for this one. hope you do more comparison vids in the future, you narrate them well
Very helpful! Thank you 🤩

The dot card you used says SB Turquoise Genuine. You basically swatched the same two Sleeping Beauty turquoises but labeled one as Turquoise Genuine.

Thank you so much, Mel. I love turquoise!!
im surprised the WN looks so dark here! especially compared to the SCH. i thought they were more similar than this. it's like the WN is a "dark".
