Stefan always loved Damon more than Elena or Caroline and in the end, this love killed him.

I guess you could never really blame him a lot because his mother was a ripper and it seems to be a genetic thing as well and was turned against his will in the beginning by Katherine despite making the choice of transitioning.

Thanks to how many times Stefan died in just the last two seasons, I didn't really care when he died in the finale. I liked Stefan but when he died as human I didn't feel anything. It was his time.
I dont get it. When rayna proposed the spell to stefan the first time saying it was damon's idea stefan threw damon away and ran because he didnt want to damon to be hunted forever by rayna, he is stefan of course he will never do such thing to his brother. Then he also confirmed this by directly telling rayna. Of course stefan would not let his brother die, otherwhise he didnt let rayna stab him the first time...so why on hell out of nowhere he was okay with doing the transfer spell and mark damon forever? I dont get it.
If Damon get marked, he will live until rayna gets old and die and will never have the chance to see elena waking up again. Stefan know this and he will never let this happen.
On the other hand if Stefan keep the mark he still going to live until rayna died of natural cause but he will be leaving with caroline and having a normal human type of life with the person he love.
Knowing stefan of course he will never let damon having his scar. Stefan is not that selfish person. So why on hell stefan gets angry because damon doesnt want to do the spell anymore? This is completely out of character. It just doesnt make any sense. This is not stefan. And a person doesnt change his mind only because two morons tell him that "he will never be happy if damon is in his life and bla bla bla" and all that nonsense bullshit.
And also the all speech of rayna "you were happy without him" where the fucking hell came from? In which universe stefan has ever given proof that he's fine without damon? Like if he wasnt falling apart and feel like shit and be depressed af the period when damon was stuck in the prison world. Sure lets all just pretend that it didnt happened, lets pretend that stefan doesnt love his brother more than anything in this world, lets pretend that stefan never had the hope for damon and lets pretend that he never did everything to his power to save him not matter what his brother said to him. Because no matter how many times damon repeated to him "Stop saving me" Stefan will always gonna try to save him because damon is BROTHER. He is his FAMILY.
And that is also what damon always did too since season 1. Even though damon was supposed to be emotionless in season 1 he always saved and protected stefan. Even if he didnt wanted to admit it and using excuses like "no one have the right to kill you but me" and other crap...his first instinct has always been to run to him and protect his baby brother.
