the danger of radiation is exaggerated by propaganda except for a female in childbearing period or a pregnant woman I don't recommend women to work as IR because of long term exposure to the radiation will affect the ovaries and subsequently her kids, but the single or few times of exposure to the radiation as if you needed an interventional procedures doesn't carry any risk. also the modern devices in radiology uses as minimal radiation as possible i am 6th grade medical student
@@factsfiction8800 well, i don't know what is the situation in india, but here in egypt diagnostic radiologists are not exposed to irradiation, as the technicians are responsible to take the images while doctors are responsible to read it, so the exposure of doctors to the radiation is not that much, and the risk is very limited and it's one of the most specialities taken by females here. however there is a "limited risk" as there is a period of time between actual start of pregnancy and the confirmation of the pregnancy, and this period is very sensetive for the baby so , if you are planning to get pregnant, you are married and not on contraceptive pills try as possible to not be exposed to radiation Finally as a profession diagnostic radiology is very suitable for females and doesn't carry that risk
is this done under complete anaethesia?
Do you accomodate international students for this program
Are you unconscious when this happens or sedated?
