It looks like an improvement to the older gray Hulk. It's ridiculous that the Bruce Banner can't stand up. I might just pick this up depending on my budget. After all there's tons of pre-orders coming our way. It would have been nice if you compared Bruce to a regular ML figure.
I want a early 90s Hulk figure.
Technically, we got that already with the 2019 80th anniversary Hulk in that two-pack. Looks very much like Hulk in the comics in 1990.

Awesome review. Both of these guys look great.I really like the head sculpts on this grey Hulk. They look more iconic in my opinion. I wish they would make a green version that matches the 80th anniversary Hulk. I look forward to picking this two pack up.
I like the softer sculpt on the new GRAY HULK. Definitely want to pick this set up. Also, been wanting a Banner, so I’m all in on this.
Thank you so much for your review! The mold used for Banner may be outdated, but I applaud the choice and the head sculpt; it IS vintage Banner from the original run. Too bad he doesn't have his pipe, although I think he had that for 1 or 2 panels at best. As far as the 1st appearance Hulk; overall very nicely done. Wish the pants had more texturing to them, and the front of the butterfly cut is weird. I'm not buying they can't do more of a forward cut, but I do think it would be a marginal improvement, so maybe not worth it. The proportions of the heads are PERFECT for a classic Hulk, and the mold for the torso is ideal. I don't have this in hand, but to me it looks like definite and subtle shading for the grey flesh parts of the figure, and I LIKE subtle shading!. As far as the eyes "looking up", the Hulk for many years had a very hunched posture, so it may very well be intended, as the cut for these head sculpts in the back allow for very hunched postures for posing. The biggest criticism I have for this figure is the size of it; a 1st appearance Hulk technically should be MUCH shorter and closer in height to Banner. I can't say it's anything close to a deal-breaker, as the reality of the Hulk is, he's been gradually made larger and more dynamic in the comics. I will say as far as 1st cover appearance, if you go by that alone, he's he very much looks like he's in accurate proportion. The overall buck for the Hulk could use some additional overall definitely. And as far as green Hulk versions that have yet to be produced by Hasbro, I would argue that a Professor Hulk, an updated Planet/World War Hulk, a retro Smart Hulk (with the purple trunks), and an Immortal Hulk, IF Hasbro actually tailored sculpts and body parts appropriate to each, would all still make sense to me.
We might be at 7 Hulk prior to this release.

This is a set I've been waiting a long time for. I'm really happy with it. I really would like to see General Ross, Betty Ross, and Rick Jones.

Good review! I love how they design this Hulk with less details on the muscles. The HULK was a Monster, a beast, he was all mass, like a brick. In my opinion, Hasbro nailed the classic design, even though they re-used and tweaked an old er mold. And yes, the proportions are good!
The new Hulk looks decent. Lacking paint apps though. Since they sculpted a new torso, they should've improved the forward (Hulk Clap) movement; with or without a butterfly joint.
I was interested in a Bruce Banner fig. Civvy versions of a lot of heroes would be cool. Not on that tired old body though.
Somewhere I have an old Toy Biz Hulk. He came with a bendy steel girder. Something like that or smashed up masonry/ a boulder would be cool accessories.

This is my favorite Hulk design...really feeling that Jack Kirby brow, the Karloff mug, almost ape-like. Also looks like the Tim Sale version a bit. I prefer him in the light green color though. Great review!

Of course we need more hulk figures but Hasbro Just doesn't wanna work on new sculpts, Grees scaar, king hulk, smart hulk, spider hulk, doc green, mecha hulk, lots of hulks need an update but Hasbro wants to use the same body again and again and again.

I can't unsee that weird angular cut on the front of the butterfly joint now. It looks terrible. In fact I think it's a deal breaker for me unless I find it on special. Love those head sculpts though.
Because i am new to collecting and there are no affordable Hulk options (of the Green), this Gray will be my mainstay Hulk. Ordered for $33.

Green versions of these Hulk heads would be awesome and great for cover art versions of the immortal Hulk.
Ive been saying that since the first Grey Hulk release. That head sculpt would be great to use for Immortal Hulk.
I kinda picture Hasbro eventually releasing a Bruce Banner figure where it’s after he changes from Hulk to Banner. I can totally see that also being reused from another mold like Pizza Spidy or something, but with the tattered pants.
Is it just me or does that Banner head-sculpt actually kind of look like the actor for the Insomniac Peter Parker?
Great review man..I wanted to love these figures but idk...Now the limbs are way too veiny and detailed, they should have just softened the whole fig and they would have that whole different style body to reuse all they want, at least it would all blend and look better... And the banner could have at least been given round glasses, and an angry head with green eyes would have been great too. I am one of the biggest Hulk fans around and I just had to cancel my pre order for it. So much coming out from all the companies in august that once I felt letdown by this set I figured I will wait for it to get cheaper or just live without. Not hard to kitbash a Banner now anyways.

I saw this when it was revealed and thought it was pretty cool, but it totally made me realize that I didn't have a regular Green Hulk. So I started searching for the 20th anniversary Hulk figure and I eventually found it for $50 on Amazon and I jumped on that. I knew that $50 was very expensive but I was willing because that Hulk is super cool. Great video 👍
He is still a very good figure, so congrats! I hope they do release another hulk soon though, on that matches the first appearance of the Avengers Hulk design.

They should’ve just left the torso how it originally was.
Me angry puny Banner shoulders backward. The digital render video on Hasbro Pulse shows them on the correct sides, but it also says final product may vary. They should reuse the Mobius torso to liven up their suit figures. That torso with Rose's arms and Mr. Knight's legs.

If you need Gray Hulk, then yes absolutely. But if Gray Hulk is not necessary to your collection, then pass

Sorry, man, but I think we do need a NEW green Hulk figure with the better heads like this. It would be awesome to get some new body tooling for it too. As a comic book artist, pro illustrator, sculptor and fan of THE INCREDIBLE HULK comic book for nearly 50 years, I want more Hulk figures because there are variant opportunities, and even more opportunities to correct the things that they've gotten wrong about the Hulk.
Let's take the 20th Anniversary Hulk figure, for instance isn't terrible, but it isn't right. Hulk in the comics never had sideburns at any time in the '60s, '70s or '80s! WTF?? A minor quibble, perhaps? Sure. Maybe, but the figure's head was TOO big, and sat so low on the neck stump that it looked like he has NO NECK at all! So the green 20th head sculpts are far from perfect.
The 80th Anniversary Hulk from the Hulk/Wolverine 2-pack is probably the best Hulk Hasbro has done so far, but some of the old paint tech on the face was rough. I had to completely repaint his teeth because there was white paint splattered on his lips, gums, etc. I also had to repaint his eyebrows, which don't seem to contour correctly with his brow. Again, not a perfect Hulk. It's still the nicest one so far, but not perfect.
The San Diego Comic Con gray Hulk-- WTF! People love this Hulk, but the head it FAR too small!! He also is old and wrinkly looking with dark circles around his eyes that make him look like a zombie! Again, WTF?? I have the Mr Fixit books, and I've seen the reprints of the first Hulk issue when Hulk was gray, and he never looked like this! I'm okay with liberties being taken, but this exclusive Hulk's head is vastly overrated by collectors. If it's a Solomon Grundy zombie head--it's not bad--but as a Hulk head? I think it blows!
I could do this all day, man. My point is simple: Hasbro hasn't made a lot of fans happy yet when it comes to certain characters. I'm not happy with their Hulks just yet. If they did a green version of the new Gray Hulk heads, gave us an updated body, I think I might be! I'm holding out for it, and I want it to happen, so I respectfully disagree with you in regards if we really need one or not! lol. Also, remember that not ever collector has all of the Hulk figures either. We collector types can be a picky lot. Many people hold out and actually wait for that one figure that strikes their fancy, and after a few years, we all get bored with some of our figures--maybe because they have old head sculpts or old bucks that don't work as well with our new stuff, etc.
I wrote all this because I care enough about you and your channel to do so. Feedback is important, so sorry to sound off for so long about this, but I like seeing Hasbro take notice that fans want more for their buck, and I feel like we have to hold them to that. You don't sugar coat things, and I've always appreciated that. I think your reviews are always fair, and you often see and catch things about figures that others miss. I'm a fan of the channel. Hasbro did pretty good on this two-pack, but they can still do better. Next time, I want a truly familiar Banner. Banner only dressed in that suit-tie and lab coat in one issue. Most of the time in the comics, he was walking around with no glasses, no shoes, and no shirt! Just a shredded pair of purple pants! That's the Banner that we saw in about ever issue! Not the lab guy from issue #1! Give me the "after-the-change" Banner. That'd make more sense to me.
