    What’s the Lucy movie about?
Lucy (Scarlett Johansson from Avengers and Lost in Translation) is studying in Taiwan and is dating Richard (Pilou Asbæk from Game of Thrones) that she met at a nightclub. When Richard has a briefcase to deliver to the mysterious Korean Mr. Jang (Choi Min-sik from Oldboy), he tricks Lucy and cuffs her to the briefcase. Lucy has no other option but to meet Mr. Jang, who is a dangerous drug lord that kills Richard. Lucy discovers that the briefcase contains the synthetic drug CPH4 and she is forced to work with Mr. Jang as a drug mule with three other men and transport the drug to Europe hidden in their abdomens. However one of her captors kicks her in the abdomen and releases the CPH4 in her body. Soon Lucy enhances her brain capacity and develops her physical and mental capabilities. She uses her abilities to kill the criminals and flees. However her power does not stop increasing and is destroying Lucy who needs to use more CPH4 to stabilize her body. She contacts Professor Norman (Morgan Freeman from Street Smart and Glory), who is an authority in brain capacity, and the scientist becomes her hope to save her. But Mr. Jang wants to retrieve his drug and is hunting Lucy down.

About 3-4 years ago a good friend played the movie "limitless" for me, I loved it and he said you will love Lucy too. He put it on a USB thumb drive, I tossed it in my car and forgot about it. Last year he passed away, at age 60. Today I came across the drive, remembered what was on it and watched it as a memorial to my friend.
Great movie, and ironic it was on a USB drive.

I love this movie cause the concept is so cool and the visuals are eye candy and Scarlett was such a badass. Of course, the dialogue was really silly and it doesn't really makes sense. They just threw some sciency words to make up explanations. But still, this movie was really cool and one of those that were just really fun to watch like a roller coaster ride. Or the “time gives proof of the existence of matter, without it we don’t exist”
The wording can be a little misleading but I get the concept. Time is a physical dimension it exists in the physical realm.
Think about when you sleep and if you have dreams it seem like days week months even at times. But when you are sleep you cannot experience time itself that’s why a 20 minute nap can feel like 4hours or it can feel like 5 mins……..
We are fixed to experience one moment at a time for our physical body. All of time exists as one the past, future, and present are all at the same time.

When the car goes still slow you can see it, but how can you see object that passes earth seven times in second, like the speed of light. @@spdcrzy No it isn't and no it doesn't.
And yes, the tree would still make a sound due to the countless elementary interactions like the Moon still shines at the night sky, even if nobody looks.
The thing with time is, that it doesn't has to be linear especially in quantum mechanics. If the Universum for an example (And that's something we don't know yet) does expand to an certain point, and then collapses back - theoretically a new big bang could occure. Is that the case, Time would be a Sphere and not a line.
Which then would also make time travel kinda possible by the way but that's besides the point.
Futhermore, Einstein (Which was opposed towards Quantum Mechanics btw) did kinda prove Spacetime with his relativistic Stuff - Which shows us already "Time isn't linear.".
In addition to that - just on a side note - nope, quantum Mechanics are rather connected to the concept of "Imaginary Time". :)
Time just seems to us as mortal beings fundamental, the grand scheme of things it may is just an illusion.

Not only that but many of the things that were said in this film many monks/Buddhists and people that follow Hinduism and many other ancient spirituality practices follow and understand the true meaning of life. For instance Lucy says when stabbing the traffickers is that “the meaning of life is going thru obstacles”. Life is just a plethora of lessons and obstacles. She also says to Morgan freeman that she was “colonizing her brain” these are all concepts that many spiritual ppl believe in, colonizing ur brain, meaning understanding who you truly are, ur emotions, ur thoughts, ur being as a whole, being able to separate society from reality.

I resonate very deeply with this scene. She describes my views on reality perfectly. From a nominalist perspective, numbers and letters dont exist. From a functionalist perspective, we are simply events. Without change, we dont happen. Time is unity and that is why Substance Monism is true. Becoming is Grounded in Being, without Becoming there is unity but there is instability.

Actually, Time isn’t unity. The definition of time for us is 9,192,631,770 cycles of the radiation that corresponds to the transition between two electron spin energy levels of the ground state of the 133Cs atom. This however is an atomic definition. In the quantum realm or subatomic levels, there is no unified concept of time among physicists, so we can not prove that we do in fact exist.
