When I apply blush, i have John's voice in my head saying "apply ever so slightly, soften and blur any edges to ensure seamlessness". Actually makes me apply less blush and it looks better

After watching this I felt like I was graduated from Oxford
I actually feel like I’m learning something when I watch John’s tutorials. He genuinely knows the techniques, the impact of the brushes etc so well and I trust what he’s saying. He also uses consistent products that he knows work effectively rather than a different product in every video which makes me feel like the product isn’t a worthwhile investment. This is a true make up artist.

He's very very intelligent. I recently read an interview with the Lord and he is so amazingly smart on a lot of topics. I go back and re-read it because I like to imagine his voice while reading it lol

Such a beautiful look. I really love the more refined, "less is more" looks. I love the vast variety of looks that one can create with makeup and wish that there were more of that variety in the makeup I see people wearing on a day to day basis. Everyday does not have to be the same full coverage face of makeup with dramatic eye looks. There are some very wonderful tips and techniques in John's films. I'm so happy I found his channel.
John’s films always make me want to drink tea in the most refined chinaware while reading classics and be an evil stepmother of two children to whom I both send to boarding schools to be alone with my husband whose money I’m after.
