the “symphony for a genocide” composer he mentions at 13:18 is maurizio bianchi, aka m.b. he’s an industrial musician who doesn’t get nearly enough credit and i can definitely see his influence on ferraro’s more industrial-esque early works.
A lot of creative types are like that, just look at earl sweatshirt, his lyrics are fucking poetry but his interviews are almost incomprehensible, even though he really is saying interesting things under it all
did this ever exist as a video? i've only ever seen the text transcript until now (funny to compare the differences). weird they chose citrac AND liquid metal to talk about being iirc citrac is partially a reissue of liquid metal. great stuff regardless. fingers crossed for a summer headrush behind the music someday
I think it was only released as what we know today as some sort of hybrid podcast with full tunes here and there, and they did the same with a trillion of interesting artists around Red Bull Music Academy, but since the project was shut down by $%@#@$% Red Bull every show was lost, and this is one of the only few things left around. If anyone has other episodes let me know! ♥ i'm collecting em all back again.
citrac is a vinyl-only reissue that compiles most of postremo mundus techno-symposium, an excerpt of liquid metal, and wired tribe (which idk if that got its own album release). he was probably just referring to that general period of his work that was captured in citrac, but then had some more things to say about liquid metal in specific.
met this guy in chicago once, he had pizza sauce all over his fingers
Whst's meat
you should have asked him to give you an autograph with the tomato sauce
I'm crying with you, jimmy.i miss you, morning star❤ you're all grown up, proud of you❤wow!

was about to comment this, nice
Met him in Melbourne, Australia in about late 2013 - early 2014. Cooked as guts.
what was he like? what did you talk about? no idea he came down to aus before
Idk. Spencer is cooler
@@Occult_Gibbet :/
man he's the coolest
Fr playing the og devil may cry and listening to multitopia is such a fucking vibe
Dude his vocabulary is way fucking smaller than i couldve anticipated
His speech patterns are really stunted and dumb which is weird because james ferraro is one of the greatest artists and musicians of the 21st century
He talks like hes making up everything as he goes on which is weird because everything he talks about actually happened
Everything hes talking about is so interesting that I am still captivated thats the crazy part
I think this is the main reason why he makes so much music. It's easier for him to express himself this way than by using words
A lot of creative types are like that, just look at earl sweatshirt, his lyrics are fucking poetry but his interviews are almost incomprehensible, even though he really is saying interesting things under it all
i wish he talked about iasia, wild world, and body fusion
yeah, im super curious about the process behind iasia. probably my favorite thing ferraro has done
KFC City 3099
body fusion is a room in my lounge.
