I almost didn't watch this video because I thought I am an advanced SNC user, and while I love your instructional videos, and it is great to see you putting out back to basics for all those new users coming on line everyday, I didn't think I would learn something new. I was wrong! I did not know about changing the cutting area to fit the paper size! I teach card making workshops monthly and make the kits ahead of time, so making multiples of the same shape cuts is a frequent thing for me. I have always just scanned my mat and deleted any images that do not fit on the paper. This is a great time saving tip! Thank you for keeping it fresh and useful! I won't be skipping any videos again!
Hi, That was great to learn about the paper size that you want to use to cut out different shapes, love you videos, easy instruction to follow, TFS, Cheers Anna.
Hi yes its now not available for order, unfortunately my video was recorded and scheduled several weeks ago, but the ScanNCut technique I was showing and that size of card could be adapted for any paper.
Thank you glad you liked it, No its sold out I'm afraid this video was recorded and scheduled several weeks ago. but I have lots of other lovely designer series papers available in my shop that would work just as well.
Love your tutorials on the ScanNCut. Your explanations are so easy to follow. I am a SU démo in Canada, and I have scanned and saved the red cardinal from the November 2019 Paper Pumpkin in my CM350. When I retrieve this bird from the saved data in my machine to see how many of these birds I can place on a piece of 6'' X 11'' cardstock, my machine does not give me the maximum # of birds I can cut. I can add 50 birds and they all show up on the screen. Does this work only with patterns that come with the machine? but not images or patterns that we scanned and saved? Thanks for your assistance.
Hi yes it appears to only work with pre installed shapes, I'm guessing because most of the shapes are pre set to a similar size. if you scan your own shape and save it to the machine, then try to add too many onto a mat it will tell you not enough room. You will then have to delete some until you get the maximum amount it will cut, from your 6x11 but once you have them arranged by the machine you can then save that 6x11 mat as another file for next time so you won't have to guess how many you can cut from that piece of card hope that helps.
@@applelover53Yup, only works with pre installed shapes. I have been playing with my machine this morning, and when I use a shape that I have scanned and saved, I have to add as many as I think will fit, then delete the extras that don't fit.. The machine does not let me know how many will fit when it is a shape that I have saved. Who knows, maybe that will be something that Brother can include in a future upgrade of their software. Thank you.

I'm loving this series. It's the little things that make using the ScanNCut so much easier. Thank you.
