I loved this interview. I've never seen Liam as a person before and I'm so thankful that he's how he acts in most of his movies. He's the kind of guy you wish you knew and I know that I'll be keeping this man in the back of my mind as a guideline of how to behave and speak. Watched this move a few days ago and was absolutely blown away. Unfortunately the marketing threw me off so I thought it was some bullshit Hollywood horror film about wolves hunting people. It is a movie about wolves hunting people just like Jaws was just about a shark eating people it’s so much more, there’s a depth to this film that I never expected. I’m writing this post 8 years later just hoping somebody decides to give this film a look. You will not be disappointed! One of the best movies I’ve seen in a decade.
Joe Carnahan is a director/artist in the tradition of the great American film makers of the past such as Ford, Peckinpah, Hawks,Huston..honest, traditional story telling of the highest quality. The Grey was my favourite movie of last year. And "Narc" is one of the greatest police dramas ever made.
Liam is so noble and gentle here, sooo relaxed and calm 🥰😃👌👍, and he gives space for his co-actor, that is Big. Liam shows no sign to " hear me , see me ", wow☺️. I haven't seen this film, but I wish to ☺️

@Guigley I could never hear well enough due to the weather in the sound but what was his character wife's name? I'm thankful I had the opportunity too to be able to see it up close enough where I didn't need someone to walk me thru the descriptive parts b/c I can't see more than 2-3 in on a good day from my eyes; bad days I'm btw seeing nothing even at my eyes to within an inch or so. I felt blessed w/this film. I loved his description early on as to what it was like to die, w/feeling of warmth.
@vanzonhl I think what Liam was saying is that he hates the "magician revealing his tricks" as far as how they did certain shots or aspects of the film. Not necessarily which shots they are talking about. Everyone knows The Grey deals with the aftermath of a plane crash, but he wants us to know he dislikes the "demystification" of the making of process.

I love this bromance. It's too bad at times I can't understand what Liam is saying either because he's mumbling a bit or because his and Joe's speech overlap. Can anyone enlighten me please what he's saying in those moments?:)

@Nazaba09 I think other than the issues of rabies causing any wolves to venture near towns, there is the fact that we as human beings have so encroached onto the lands of animals that we are paying for our stupidity. In areas like the more built-up cities in Alaska they have to cover or take any food far from town or sealed w/o any scent but it's b/c of severe encroachment. Native tribes haven't done this, or not as much as the greedy non-natives of Alaska. They've learned to live w/nature.

"The Grey" is the first great film of 2012. I saw it three times. Incredibly profound, thrilling, gruesome and primal.
