In his latest role Neeson plays Marlowe all through the film,with his hat straight on his head . Look at pictures of Bogart, Cagney ,Mitchem , Bing Crosby,Sinatra et al , all with their hats tilted to the side. Neeson looks like George Formby or some one in an Am Dram production of Guys and Dolls. Where were the costume historians? Why didn't someone tell him?
I realize or at least I understand these actors want to do action movies and I don’t understand why this active for one like others their actors they can take any role and have the viewer believe in the character.

It was a war and to cal it anything else is an insult to all the innocents who died, on both sides of the conflict. Even here in the UK my mother was terrified of going into the cities, in case we were blown up by an IRA bomb inn a shopping centre. I was in my early 20s before I visited Manchester or Liverpool or London. The war in Ireland domiated so many children's lives in Ireland and in mainland Britain and should never be played down or forgotten. Rest in Peace the babes of Ireland.

Stop portraying the troubles as being only one-sided, the brits were the aggressors, not the victims. The underlying cause of the troubles was the british occupation and dehumanisation of the Irish on our own island depriving the Irish of basic human rights and the brits treating the Irish as sub-human. In the occupied countries, tensions will persist until the uk acknowledges and internalizes britain's part in causing the troubles. Until then, the uk's revisionism, avoidance of responsibility and refusal to accept any form of accountibility will be a barrier to real peace and continue to be a wedge between peoples.
