- The Squad French Faction is a mod for Squad that introduces, you guessed it, the French Faction. In their latest update they've launched a new map Douentza, a map I explore in this gameplay video. This also just happens to be the Squad event of the year, literally every Squad content creator showed up for this one.

Kinda makes me wish OWI would just pay for the rights for these mods and refine them with new sounds etc, would be able to fill the content up to the PR level in no time
Pretty sure Canada and Australia started as mods, French faction has been around for a while now and is well refined so idk why they haven’t added it

they don't even have to pay, they own the mods per the tos

I really hope that OWI buys this mod and incorporates it into the base game, there is so much content! I think it would be the most content-rich faction in the game.

I hope you really don't think that France is surrendering (we know French bashing from Iraq). France is the nation with the most military victories, which freed the Americans from the English yoke and which has one of the richest histories.
The fact they put faction like Reworked militia, Canada, Australia and Turkish army, before the French faction still blow my mind.
Now we need to see the German army mod in action!

I never knew you had a radio type intro until I watched a video of yours from early last year, was honestly an amazing intro to that episode not sure if they’re all the same intro or what it is but bring it back

Honestly this event was a blast!
Well aside from the double map switches in between each match that bled players away and the crashes on the night time version of fool’s road.
Ps: the nightmarish raids on railway our squad tried to conduct were really fun!
The French faction in Post Scriptum/Squad 44 is still my favorite.

Not using the built in grenade sight but it's still there. Missing the side laser and mount but has the front tri rail for the grenade optic.

To my knowledge, the French Army never used those, outside maybe of some spook units.
You are correct it's just for gameplay feature , because we can't use the original one hidden under the scope or removed in 2009 because of the radioactive night paint on it. So we improvised

it would be sick tif they made an African marshal government faction. Make it a combination of Mali, Senegal, and Chad military. essentially a combination of Insurgent weapons with Chinese and Russian Armour.

I love squad, but seeing someone get shot in the face and then be able to revive him with a bandage makes absolute sense to me. Seems boring to have insta kills and wounds that you can't be revived from, a limit of how many revives you can get. I know its just a game and that means it can specify what's a torso shot or limb and based on that hit box, if its past maximum damage capacity the players limb is useless or cannot be revived.

Ive been trying to get back into squad again recently but between the ridiculous outrageous amount of weapon sway and lack of control on weapon handling combined with insane mentally challenged community its been hard to get good games.
