Was at the Bridge today and of all the times I've watched this team over the years I wholeheartedly agree with Younes when I say I have NEVER seen a Chelsea side play this poorly. The Madrid game was the most flat performance I'd seen from this club for many years but today was the lowest I've felt watching this club. Sure as fans of Chelsea in the Prem era we're used to winning but I just want the team to give 100% for the club and the shirt every game at the very least. But no, no direction, no plan, no tactical identity and you could tell every fan watching today just felt flat and the atmosphere at the Bridge was a reflection of that. The state of the club at the moment just makes me sad and everyone from Frank, the players and especially the ownership should hang their heads in shame. This club is an embarrassing mess and I don't know how the new manager, whoever it will be, is going to make sense of all this.

The patterns that Brighton play was wonderful. Each player in their attack can beat a man going left or going right, twisted our defenders inside out. Fair play to them. We are rudderless at the moment, we have no idea what to do with the ball or without the ball. These last few games of the season are going to be torturous. Can't wait for the summer.

We actually played better under Potter apart from not finishing our chances. One of the main issues I've noticed is we sit back and allow opposition to play through us we don't close down space quick enough. If you don't get close to players and put them under pressure early you allow them to build up confidence and momentum. True I also got vibes of them just playing like it's a training game or friendly.

The first time I heard of Chelsea FC was in 1989, when Chelsea had won promotion back to the top tier of English Football. I casually looked at stats in a newspaper that was showing the end-of-season English First Division Results and it said: Promoted: Chelsea FC (Division 2 winners), Manchester City (runners up), a third team TBA. I was not a supporter yet: I joined in 1995 on the Gullit Bandwagon after being disgusted by the lack of ambition of my former team (that shall remain nameless). I was thinking: "Yes, this is a team that is showing ambition, and I am glad I am joining them". Reality set-in and 1995-1996 ended up being a little bit difficult for Chelsea, to say the least... I was mocked by long-time supporters of other English teams who suggested I should have done my homework. Chelsea were the once-in-a-while cup winners, but no more. Guess what: the once-in-a-while cup winners started winning more regularly or at least achieving honorable results seasons after seasons: FA cup winners 1997, European Cup Winners Cup Winners 1998, Qualified for the Champions League 1999 (finished third in the Premier League), QF of the UCL 1999-2000 and FA Cup winners 2000. Then came the financial difficulties of the early 2000’s: we were “bailed out” by Roman Abramovich! 20 years of unqualified success ensued. Abramovich sanctions? Chelsea was Bought out by Boehly / Eghbali / Clear Lake Capital! What will happen of Chelsea FC? Because Right now, we are going in the 1987/1988 direction… I will not jump ship again: I will support this club until I die. However, is Clear Lake Capital steering the ship in the right direction? Are they placing their egos above the interest of the club? We hear they are taking their time to make the right choice of a new manager: are they really listening to REAL football people, or are they listening to ChatGPT? Their reputation, their (football) intelligence, and their IMAGE is at stake (since they place a premium on image). This is what one impulsive and egotistic decision gets you: sacking Thomas Tuchel before he had a chance to fix his problems, and the consequences of it brought us here. TT ain’t coming back, but I hope Boehly / Eghbali / Clear Lake Capital have learned their lessons: take care of the Finances OVER THERE, and let REAL FOOTBALL PEOPLE make FOOTBALL DECISIONS OVER HERE!!! NO EXCUSES!

The UK government has really done us bad big time!!! Ever since that takeover of Chelsea from Roman Abramovic, things have never remained the same. I simply do not recognized this football club anymore. Right now, we need a coach that has everything (tactics, mentality, technique, aggression, etc.). This coach will also need to be given full control of these players (to avoid player power). These players need a strict and efficient manager. That way, at least we will weed off all those that don't want to be here. Just saying...

Interesting line up from Lamps, I guess the final EPL games will purely be experimental. Shocking not to see more energy and emotion from the squad.
I see 10 individuals (keeper aside) with very low confidence and synergy. Sadly, nothing will change until Nagelsmann is appointed. I would take back Mou at this point.
Sterling, Mount, CP, Ziyech, Gallagher, Zakaria, Auba, Azpi, Felix, CHO, RLC and others will not return next year.
Doesn’t matter if we finish 8th or 15th in table, the remainder of season will be an assessment on what pieces will be retained or sold.
Maybe our poor form will be more of an enticement for Nagelsmann to join as there is only improvement from this point.

When Todd Boehly and his consortium acquired Chelsea. They met a winning team and culture, for some odd reason they wanted to get rid of everything Roman had built instead of improve on it. Yes there were areas the club was lacking to compete at the level of man city and the Madrids. That area was mostly infrastructure (eg bigger stadium). They started by firing most staffs without having replacements for them, Todd proceeded to handle transfer himself after firing Petr Cech and Marina, moved on to firing Tuchel in an attempt to look tough like Roman. Then went on to hire Brightons Graham Potter ( a coach that hasn’t won anything) using statistics and data analysis (only God knows what that even means) the only statistics a coach needs is winning. Todd also made life difficult for his man Potter by bringing in so many players mid season with no time to gel and no core players. Even when the signs were glaring that Potter couldn’t manage a big squad like that, they stuck with him until it was too late, then fired him when the season is basically over to hire an interim who the statistics and data analysis shows that he is worse than Potter. Almost every decision that has been made so far has been wrong, Todd has been too involved with the team, constantly seen taking pictures and smiling with players and coaches. Roman let the coach work and gave him space. He learned from signings like Shevchenko ( who were his personal signings) The hands off approach is needed now, I don’t think I’ve seen City’s owners before. Hopefully this sale is not been the wrong one, because Todd and co don’t seem like they have any clue on how to run a football club and are looking like jokes right now.
