Chelsea Hotel #2 lyrics
I remember you well in the Chelsea Hotel
You were talking so brave and so sweet
Givin' me head on the unmade bed
While the limousines wait in the street
Those were the reasons, that was New York
We were runnin' for the money and the flesh
And that was called love for the workers in song
Probably still is for those of them left
Yeah, but you got away, didn't you babe?
You just turned your back on the crowd
When you got away, I never once heard you say
I need you
I don't need you
I need you
I don't need you
And all of that jivin' around
I remember you well in the Chelsea Hotel
You were famous, your heart was a legend
You told me again, you preferred handsome men
But for me you would make an exception
And clenching your fist for the ones like us
Who are oppressed by the figures of beauty
You fixed yourself, you said "Well nevermind
We are ugly but we have the music"
And then you got away didn't you babe?
You just turned your back on the crowd
When you got away I never once heard you say
I need you
I don't need you
I need you
I don't need you
And all of that jivin' around
I don't mean to suggest
That I loved you the best
I can't keep track of each fallen robin
I remember you well in the Chelsea Hotel
That's all, I don't think of you that often

Thanks for watching my video. I gathered everything I shot at this concert in a TH-cam playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLwdc0qZNx0tYaPRTnKTwuY9W3gtIrSucK.html. The songs are: Norman Fucking Rockwell, For Free, Diamonds & Rust, Don't Think Twice It's Alright, Born To Die, California / Blue Jeans, Pretty When You Cry, Chelsea Hotel #2, Ultraviolence, Doin' Time, and Off To The Races. Enjoy!
how beautiful
Holy shit , how much can you hear Leonard in his son'd voice, gave me chills...so good, the both of them together.
Anthony Salvati Yes. It’s unbelievable how close he is to his father. His voice is so similar. It’s like a big Deja vu.
Nah. I like him and that is a great thing. But there is and always will be one Leonard Cohen ;)
@@DarkOps2442 What a surprise! His name is Adam...
Oh yes just amazing 👏 ❤
He's very like him
so much like his father. look at him play the lover and the charmer
Yes it's overwhelming.
god if i could capitalise off of 60s culture nostalgia and hang out with the sons and daughters of my 60s icons i so would. lana understands
yes! tomorrow never came with sean is same thing just so perfect
Denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance - all five stages of grief packed into a single song. That's true of a lot of his stuff, but nowhere clearer than here.
She looked like she was nervous to start singing while he watched
did i hear someone shouting "love you daddy!"? lmao same though
When? Lol
Pepita Abeln 2:50
I thought it was “yes daddy” either way it’s a yes from me
He's in love with her
Yosra Rebah we all are !❤

He's charming af i wouldn't stand a second if he looks at me like dat
He such a dilf
“And clenching your fist for the ones like us, who are oppressed by the figures of beauty” can we all just take a minute to comprehend the profundity of that lyric in 1974? Bless you L. Cohen.
This would be better if the crowd shut up for a few minutes.
I don't know what you meant. The crowd was quieter here than when Joan Baez was playing, but it's a concert and people were having fun. Everything sounded as it has always sounded when attending a live performance.
this is quiet for a lana concert trust lol
Yeah, some songs are for listening to the lyrics instead of screaming lol. They had fun though :)
Well, this was not 1969, but 2019. The audience isn't that much polite today. But it seems more a cultural problem. In '12, I saw Joan Baez in Germany. She was great, like we expected. And the crowd, was quiet as needed, to enjoy her art on stage...
I beg to differ. Those whoops are a human's innate response to the magic that is Leonard Cohen's spirit. 🔮 He played in my hometown of Sligo, Ireland 🇮🇪 Yeats Country, in 2010, it was whooping! ❤️
I was there live, in shambles, it was life changing this video doesn’t even do that moment justice
must have been the most magical thing!
That must of been life changing wow!!!
I saw her days before in Seattle and that changed me forever - seeing her live is a must for any true fan! I only wish to see them together🦋 - but so blessed we saw the concert before all the world shut down! But Lana will be back and sing live again 💝
omg seeing her especially on this day where she performed with joan baez.....??!!!?? how do you keep on living after that
How do they not fall in love singing together like that 😩❤️
that would be lust dear.
can they just be a couple already
No, she 's too perfect for him
He’s married I guess lol
A$ap rochy first
literally everyone loves lana i swear😭
I won’t share her with anyone
I was in a Léonard Cohen's concert in 2012 in Paris, I'll never forget . Adam has his father's voice maybe a little more sweet
Most beautiful unique couple ever in a long time
The Great Man's presence towers all over this performance.
okey but the WAY HE LOOKS AT HER PLEASE
HER VOCALS!!!! IM SHOOKETH!!!
I really miss Mr Leonard Cohen it was hes song and no one can sing it like he dose 😔
RIP Mr Leonard Cohen ♥️🌹🕯️
How nice as a mixed duet....as Adam ages he sounds more like his Dad...no doubt he could not help that and why would he want to? He lived long and sometimes hard in his Dad's shadow....gave the most *that any son ever could* with his completion of his Father's work with "Thanks For the Dance"-----I don't think anyone has ever heard a greater expression of a son's devotion and love for his Father's work, expressed in recorded music----and his desire to take it to its fruition. "Thanks For the Dance" is a magnificent album...and it was Adam's devotion that saw it through, to his Father's memory & glory. May he be blessed forever for his efforts, along with his Father's many friends and peers who saw the great work to completion.

Damn Lana already had a collab/duet with John Lennon's son and Leonard Cohen's son.
She has awesome taste!
I don't know how any woman can perform a duet with Adam and remember the words to the song. That look he gives her would turn my brain to mush.
Yes and my loins on fire!
Masterpiece ❤️

Rest sweetly my dear friend.
Oh my god she did this song a long time ago 8 years ago, and I didn’t know the song. I learned it after she played it spontaneously, during her endless summer world.
This is sooo good!

OMG, He is sooo in love with she !!!! It's like a Lupillo Rivera - Belinda relationship :O
Hahahaha She seem a bit uncomf with his way of looking at her :c
Wtf? Lupillo who?
Thank you for filming this
If he doesn't make an appearance on White Hot Forever
...
...

And these two have the whole world's chem! He couldn't stop lookin at her , when Resse barely did it 😝
Wow, a great mix, he is so like his late father in voice, appearance and action. It is odd hearing Lana sing about what happened to her on the edge of the bed!
Oh shit I miss his music
CAN PEOPLE JUST STOP SCREAMING AND LET OUR QUEEN SING
Lana to him is what Janis was to Leonard. ♥
Isn't it a song Lenny wrote about Janis Joplin?
Yep
Yes.
Yep! Leonard once talked about sitting in a Polynesian restaurant and writing on their “very badly designed napkins, ‘I remember you well, at the Chelsea hotel.’”
Well done..very nice.
It's a pity this crowd is yelling like children.
They don't respect the song and surely not the artists.
Never heard that terrible noice with Mr. L.Cohen himself.
Agreed. Very annoying. Their are some songs meant to be danced and partied to. This just isn't one of them.
They totally ruined the final line of the song
Like to hear Adam sing Suzanne that would be chilling.
He plays the guitar while she sings Leonard Cohen.
Awesome
❤
2:50 yas daddy!! I'm dead😂😂
Luke Perry is alive!!!
👏👏👏
Woaw
Thanks for uploading. Did you record other songs?
Hi Fallon, yes, I posted the two duet videos last night (this one and the one with Joan Baez), but I have a few others to go through and post. Here's the TH-cam playlist where I'll collect all the videos from this show: th-cam.com/play/PLwdc0qZNx0tYaPRTnKTwuY9W3gtIrSucK.html
@@TimBracken Awesome! Looking forward to seeing the other videos. Such amazing quality!
Tim Bracken thank you for capturing these moments
qué maravilla
I was a concert and people around me would not shut up ending up starting a fight
Younger people are too shallow to absorb true talent and depth. Sad. Go deeper youngsters
2:58 she's so cute!!
they’d be cute together
