Wow. The story about Pam the crazy girlfriend really reached in and grabbed a hold of my bones. I was one of the "nice guys" in school and because of my deep empathy for others, tended to attract the girls who had been troubled, shall we say. As I gradually started to appreciate how people could take advantage of my sensitivity, I began to believe that I would meet my own "Pam" one day. The difference being that no one would ever believe me or take me seriously, so that I would end up in jail or whatever. I am a lot older now, but still have no control over my sensitivity to others, so I am always on guard for the "Pams" out there.

True alien encounters 5. True cryptid encounters that interrupted romance haha. Those are just some ideas and its also fun to hear when you collaborate with other narrators. I love the story about Tom, the autistic guy. This will be my son one day. He is autistic and low functioning. He is 13 but in many ways he is closer to 5 or 6. He will need to be cared for his entire life. I pray that there are people in his life who show him this same kindness and compassion when we are gone someday.

I grew up, "in the country," and that still wasn't something anyone did, so I kind of hate the oft-repeated phrase of "...lived in the country so thought it was fine." I think it's just shear stupidity. We had drifters who would wander through and hide in sheds, or barns, or get into livestock yards and steal tools. I remember a pretty bad rash of break-ins one year where people's garages were burgled. I don't even like cat/dog doors to the outside because some crazy person crawled through one in a friend's house when I was a teen. Even at school, who doesn't learn that some kids are unscrupulous and will invade your lunchbox, or desk? I was at a daycare at about 6-7 years old and a girl stole my grape soda from my lunch, and *got away with it!* Kids steal stuff all the time! How is someone that incredibly naïve? I truly don't believe they could be so lucky as to have never know that people don't always have good intentions.
