After doing 3 weeks of research on buying a bed online I have finally have narrowed it down to the Luxury Firm WINKBED. I think this bed fits my sleeping habits the best since I am a 90% stomach sleeper and a 10% side sleeper. I am 5'8 160 and The WINKBED is the best bang for your buck in my personal opinion.
Saatva is best affordable, luxury mattress and comes in three different firmness levels! Helix has 6 different hybrids! Nectar is the best cheap mattress and is all memory foam. A full year trial, wow! Leesa for back pain looks awesome!
Help! I've been watching allll your reviews & comparisons but I've fallen into mattress analysis paralysis! I'm a small, hot, florida side sleeper with a spinal fusion & hubby is a much heavier, hot sleeper, mostly back but some side and he likes it firm. Motion isolation is also very important. I think we have narrowed it down to Ghostbed Luxe, Brooklyn Aurora, Casper Wave or maybe Saatva. How can we make a choice and both be happy?
Nolah signature is my favorite because I'm a side sleeper and it's soft and I think it would be best for my husband and I because it says it works well for couples!
So many mattresses! Gosh I think maybe the winkbed would be my favorite.. but I also really like the idea of the hybrids- so maybe the idle as my second choice
What would you suggest for a couple where one person is a 115lbs and the other is 220lbs? The smaller person is 70% back sleeper, 30% side sleeper and the larger person is 70% stomach sleeper, 30% side sleeper. I like the idea of a hybrid because I want some bounce, edge support, and cooling, but I also want some of the contouring of (memory) foam. I'm drawn towards the Bear Hybrid, but I'm skeptical of how it will hold up for the larger stomach sleeper of the family. The Helix Dusk and Leesa Hybrid have caught my eye, too, though I'm open to anything.
i will probably pick the Nectar for the guest room since it is inexpensive and not used that much, for myself i would go with the Layla I like the flippable design of firm to softer and the copper infusion for cooler sleeping.
My favorite mattress is the Wink in Luxury Firm. Coil on coil design, Tencil cover and zoned support. Perfect. 3 of my wishlist beds made the list but the Wink is the pinnacle for me. Great list and reviews. Thanks
Saatva was horrible for me. First one sank in. Second one which I had to pay for delivery despite it being a replacement also sunk in. I'm trying a Winkbed next.
From this list my favorites are the Layla and Nolah. Another contender you should consider is the Casper Nova Hybrid because it’s comfy right out of the gate and the zoned support is helpful. I am a petite back sleeper, so I need a soft mattress. Medium mattresses are too firm for me.
You named the best for side sleepers, those with back pain, hot sleepers that want a cooling bed, and for those not wanting to break the bank...what is your recommendation for someone (me) that beat fits all of those issues? I had back surgery in 2018 followed by hip injections, so I'm an ex stomach sleeper learning to sleep on my back and side. I wake up from getting too hot at night even though I keep the house at 68 degrees. We made it through 2020 and don't know what 21 has in store, so I'm not wanting to spend a lot. Is there a mattress that fits it all?
What about the purple mattress? How come that isn’t on the list? I’m asking this because I am a first time buyer looking into buying a mattress so I’m just seeing the pros and cons from anybody who actually reviewed and tested it
I just bought a nectar mattress in a king size and wow I think I'd get better sleep on the floor. My girlfriend (140 lbs) and I (200 lbs) woke up so sore everyday for a week. Plus the right side of the mattress never fully expanded. Permanent crease taking away 3 inches of length on my side of the bed. Luckily Amazon refunded my $900. So I order the helix sunset luxe. Haven't received it yet but hopefully it's the plush mattress of our dreams
Thank you guys for a great year of reviews. Ivhave been very educated. Ive learned that a great mattress can come in a box. Ive also learned that not all foam heats up and coils are recommended for heavy sleepers. Awsome year!!!
I think I am leaning toward the wink bed and the bear and saatva I can't choose! I think I will try wink first and if its not to my liking then the saavata then bear in that order if either not to my liking..
How about there loom & leaf for lower back & cooling? I have been n a Tempur-Pedic rhapsody, it’s horrible, I did get a warranty claim and have $2800 to use only toward a Tempur-Pedic, I was leaning toward the lux breeze firm over the Tempur pedic medium hybrid.
I was thinking about getting a avocado mattress topper, i have a firm memory foam mattress thats a bit too firm, and wonder would this give me added comfort? could i put the mattress topper on it? I weigh 135 pounds and have back issues and am a sde sleeper, would this be a good investment? thank you,
What would you suggest for someone who is in the 250-270 range and 6'2". I sleep on my side and back; and I prefer very firm mattresses. Want something that lasts a long time. I sleep super hot so I'd also prefer something cooler. I've looked at all your content and lots of others; read a ton of work. Still struggling on what to do. Thank you!
I am 6'2", wide shoulders but athletic build 225 lbs. I get some lower back and shoulder pain sometimes and am a side and sometimes back sleeper. I wanted an adjustable base, possibly a California King . Was liking the Puffy and Nectar bases as they have free returns but no Cali King option. Can you recommend a bed and an adjustable base? I like the zero gravity as I feel it would help with reflux and back pain. Might be willing to settle on a queen as the split kings are getting out of my price range
Hi. I am looking for a full mattress for my girls. I am quite limited since this will be for bunk beds. I want something that is inexpensive but can also perform well for an occasional heavier adult, maybe 250lb, that is a combo sleeper. Hopefully you can provide me with some firm options that are under $600 each. Is that even possible??? Thank you.
I'm looking for a Twin XL, 12" deep. I have articulating bed, so whatever mattress I get, has to accommodate the different positions. I have chronic back as well as nerve pain in my left leg. I injured my back in 1991 and have not had a pain free day since. I have gone through four back surgeries, two of which were fusions. I am pretty much a back sleeper, however, I like to roll onto my sides to relieve the pain in my back from always laying that way. Unfortunately, I can't fall asleep on my side, but maybe it's because of my current memory foam mattress. My preference is a hybrid mattress. As an aside, my son has the Brooklyn Signature Hybrid which seems comfortable. Do you have any thoughts on this one?
I need help!!! I am 6’5 250lbs back/side sleeper with a 5’8 140lb girlfriend side/stomach sleeper. We are buying a bed as soon as possible. (This weekend if possible) I have sleep apnea and bulging discs. I wake up every morning with back pain, my girlfriend wakes up throughout the night multiple times with back pain as well. We both sink into the center which causes a lot of discomfort. We have a 2 year old that sleeps with us frequently so we need another king size mattress. I think a more firm hybrid mattress would be our best route? Unfortunately... all the mattresses you recommended are over my budget. I have a maximum of $1000 to spend. Could you PLEASE HELP... If you could recommend 3 options or give us some feedback that would be amazing! Thank you in advance.
HAPPY NEW YEAR SLEEPOPOLIS AND ALL!!!! I have slept on a Nectar and it is an Amazing Mattress, just make sure you have the one best suited to your sleeping habits. I have a WInkbed and it is Fantastic. The comfort is off the charts. Sleepopolis never steers you wrong and they have a coupon code center that allows you to save more. I have heard only good things about all the brands on your list. I think the most common mistake people make in purchasing is not being educated on what to look for. If you watch a few of Sleepopolis' videos it will always enlighten you on key issues and points to be aware of and you can always ask questions. Again, Happy New Year Everyone!!!!
Guys! Great video. I'm looking for some advice and would love your input. My wife and I have bought 2 mattresses in 10 years. Both times we paid for "higher end" mattresses and both times after about 6 months - 10 months we would notice sagging in the areas where we would sleep (both coil mattresses). Like permanent indents. We are average weight/height so we were disappointed by this. Anyway, what would you recommend for a mattress that is firm and won't sag after a year or less. We just want something durable, firm, memory foam, and good for couples. Thanks!
Giveaway: My favorite mattress is the BB Aurora because it is good for me as a side sleeper, and it has cooling and motion isolation features which are both a big plus. Of course, nobody can just pick one, so my 2nd choice would be the Bear Pro because it is a softer mattress and tailored more to side sleepers as well. Thx Logan and Happy New Year!
I always love all your informative videos but I wish you had the 2021 natural memory foam that are cooling mattresses. I had a sleep number years ago when they first came out but after having night sweats from menopause it got black mold between the air & foam layers and it made me sick until I found it & had to throw it away ASAP. I slowly got better after that but I've been weary of biying another foam mattress even tho the night sweats aren't as bad anymore. Thank you.
I really appreciate Sleepopolis and the honest reviews...makes shopping for a new mattress that much easier. After watching this video, I am thinking that I would prefer the Saatva. A bit pricey, but worth every penny.
Hi Adrienne. Idle unfortunately went out of business a couple of months ago and are no longer selling mattresses. We removed the coupon from this video.
It’s not on your list but Sleep Ovations 700 tiny mattresses is the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. I’ve had it for almost 5 months and got it after major surgery and it helped my post surgical pain. I get excited about sleeping in it every night!

TOOO many great choices here, AND some of these are my favorite WISH I HAD beds. BUT for some reason I always lean towards the LAYLA brand. I would take just about any of these, but this one always STANDS out to me. I hope to own one someday.

I narrowed my choices down to Nest Alexander Signature Hybrid and Brooklyn Aurora. Now to decide which one.
Wink , Brooklynn, and Saatva!! I love that they all have multiple versions for your own comfort levels!
I like a classic memory foam feel. The Layla was the first mattress that caught my eye and is still one I'd love to have.
My favorite mattress is the Bear Mattress because of the cooling ability of the mattress and the Celliant technology to help you recover.

So many mattresses! Gosh I think maybe the winkbed would be my favorite.. but I also really like the idea of the hybrids- so maybe the idle as my second choice
I love the copper infusion aspect. I always sleep hot. I also prefer the foam type mattresses.
Winkbed, Saatva, and Helix with its Variations were my favorite reviews of the year.
To me, the Wink bed is the most appealing. Great lineup in this one!
What would you suggest for a couple where one person is a 115lbs and the other is 220lbs? No wonder older couples eventually choose their own beds 😂😂😂😂😂 I guess I’m lucky we are both side sleepers
i will probably pick the Nectar for the guest room since it is inexpensive and not used that much, for myself i would go with the Layla I like the flippable design of firm to softer and the copper infusion for cooler sleeping.
My favorite mattress (Purple Hybrid Premier 3") didn't make the list, however, my second favorite mattress (Brooklyn Bedding Aurora) did.
I have two favorites -- Helix Midnight and Nolah Signature.
Of course the Saatva made it again! I hope I'll have one of those soon! Haven't had a new mattress in over 10years❣💕
The winkbed and idle hybrid are great options. Love the hybrids. Medium firm for me as a side sleeper with back and neck issues
My favorite mattress is the Wink in Luxury Firm. Coil on coil design, Tencil cover and zoned support. Perfect. 3 of my wishlist beds made the list but the Wink is the pinnacle for me. Great list and reviews. Thanks
You're welcome, Barry!
Winkbed is at the top of my list, Bear interests me because of the celliant cover.
I really like the Brooklyn Aurora and the Helix Sunset. They look good for side sleepers.
Saatva is my choice because I like the firmness level options.
did you get your mattress??
@@gummybear41283 yes
@@karenbergenholtz5640 yes and how do you like it, give some details
The Helix Midnight or Dusk sounds like a great option for me and my spouse! I've been wanting to try a hybrid for some time.
Did you end up getting a Helix?
Saatva was horrible for me. First one sank in. Second one which I had to pay for delivery despite it being a replacement also sunk in. I'm trying a Winkbed next.
Curious why Sealy silver chill hybrid plush didn’t make the list :/
Thank you for a great video! Informative, too the point, and well edited. Great job.
Glad it was helpful!

What a great and thorough review of all these mattresses.
Thank you!
Winkbed isn't for me, too firm. Idle hybrid for pressure relief, but medium feel isn't the firmness I like. Bear mattress is all foam and is too firm.
My favorite mattress is 1)Idle Hybrid 2)Saatva 3)Wink Bed .... choosing between these three is difficult.
Let us know which one you go with!
I would love any one of these. The WinkBed and the Helixes look pretty fine!
Lots of great choices. I think the Idle Hybrid sounds perfect!
My favorite mattress is the Brooklyn Bedding mattress Aurora, with it's cooling properties, it is a winner 😊
what's the best for stomach/side sleepers? thats the biggest concern for me
I sleep on them both a LOT. its not just every here and there
What about the purple mattress? How come that isn’t on the list? I’m asking this because I am a first time buyer looking into buying a mattress so I’m just seeing the pros and cons from anybody who actually reviewed and tested it
Some really great mattresses, I go for the value mattresses like the Nectar and Bear
Any concern about the use of fibreglass in some of these mattresses?
I just bought a nectar mattress in a king size and wow I think I'd get better sleep on the floor. My girlfriend (140 lbs) and I (200 lbs) woke up so sore everyday for a week. I know due to my weight I would look into the Layla Hybrid or the Nolah Evolution. I do appreciate the information though.
Looking for king bed frame and mattress with massager. Not split king. Is there any options for me.

What would your recommendation be for best mattress for someone who sleeps hot and suffers from joint, hip and back pain where cost isn’t a issue?
not that I sleep cooler but loving the Brooklyn. Thank you for a great start to 2021 reviews.
You're welcome!
What about boxsprings
I love the explanation of all of them! Thank you for that. I love the cooling effect. What would you suggest for someone with a military neck?
Crystal Irvine: What is a military neck??!?
@@BoysLikeMeee it's a straight neck with no curve. Arthritis hits as you get older

winkbed plus would be a great choice. i love mine. it has a thick layer of latex foam instead of the mini coils. it also has a lifetime warranty!
How come you don't have Beautyrest, Sterns Foster, Sealy in these reviews. These all seem to be online vendors only?
How come tempur pedic isn’t on here?
Great options to choose from! The Saatva is looking like an awesome choice at the moment! :)

Beautiful mattress, looks so comfortable.
Now I'm really interested in the bear mattress !!
Is idle hybrid better than avocado hybrid?
What matters do you recommend for a stomach and side sleeper and a back sleeper?
