    In this video we make a Boss Katana patch for the Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap by AC/DC. We show you the process we go through to get the tone and the specific things we're exploring to try to get the sound nailed down. I'm joined by Tone Designer legend Toby Pitman.

    With a little bit of effort you can create your own patches or find them for free. Stop paying all these dudes out here to download their stuff. 1 It never sounds as they demo it. 2 They get loads of free merchandise from sponsors and your only fattening their bank accounts from what they charge for lessons etc. 3 There's plenty of free patches and lessons being shared by musicians more interested in actually helping other musicians than making a buck off them.✌️

    Like Santana said once (or more, I don't know) It's not just about the pedals, amp, guitar etc, it's about the feel and the way you play.

    • @justinguitar
      @justinguitar  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      For sure - but if you got the feel and know what to play, tone can decorate it well.

    many thanks for all your vids and efforts to make live of others much easier :-)
    You are really good bloke. Bless you
    Any chance you together with Toby might attempt to create kind of Steve Vai sound...
    These mighty powerful typical of Steve's lead and solo sounds. Many thanks again

    Justin, another awesome tone you created. You and your friend seemed to have cracked the nut to this tone shaping thing a lot of us struggle with. Did you record via DI or USB or mic’d from Katana. Also, I have commented many times on one of the best tones you created with a badger 30 for Brothers in Arms...it is rich and full of harmonics. If you agree would love to hear what you and your friend could do on this one with the Katana tone studio. As always, many thx for sharing your immense talents with us 😀. Vr, Mike

    Greetings JustinGuitar, I also bought an Boss Katana (100 MK2) and it is awesome. But still I have a special request. Could you test how well it would work to connect a microphone using an adapter "XLR female to 3.5mm" to the AUX port of the amplifier. Not that I expect it to anywhere near to perfect, but will it work at all?

      It's not an App, but software called Boss Tone Studio running on MacOS or Windows.
      You can download it from the Boss website, Google "Boss Tone Studio Katana 50" or whichever amp you have.

    Love this new series Justin, thank you. Regarding the studio vs record sound (whether to keep the low end) - in a perfect world, you'd give us both versions! Then if you're playing on your own, you use the record version, and if with a bass player, the studio version. :)
