It's like a fuzz, but it sounds like it almost doesn't want to distort. A little bit of actual blown speaker. I like it.
If it's good enough to go on Joe Perry's board right next to his Klon Centaur, it's good enough for me.
His tech seems top notch.Has the board of a much younger, and hungrier, player.

Great sounds from a great player
It def has the lower sustain and crippling sag at higher settings; the eq becomes all important, with that tonal push/ pull.
Is good as an always on, with something 808 to front or rear for a little midrange diversity.Used 2 settings consistently without touching it much.Worth checking out, being a little bit different,-but thought the Walrus 385 does the vibe a little better.
Danelectro fucking rock! I LOVE their guitars. I have a 12 string 59, a black and white one like Jimmy Page’s and it’s fantastic! They prove that most of those “boutique” effects are an overpriced con.
Demos are so much better now that the mic'ing is tight and the fine playing is right there.
John loves his B bender. He is a good example of a country player.
I think Jimmy Page has a stack of gear at his disposal, I don’t know if he used it often.

There's an original UD50 up on Reverb for $695. It's so much bigger than it had to be - the components take up very little room. It's foot pedal controlled like a wah-wah. There's a video.

@@MuscleDad420 I am a nobody, but I have always had my Tele set up like this. It makes more sense to me. But I'm also in that minority that actually use the volume knob on their guitar.
mason s. Plenty of people have set up their Teles like that. Fools see one Stewmac video of Bill Kirchen and think he was the first and only person to do it. The internet is a mistake.

I literally just sold my little yellow danelectro tremolo. Those little dinky pedals all sounded great. I'll never let go of my auto wah from that line.

I have three French Toast fuzzes, so I never run out. I even use the plastic safety covers.
You were a bit up against for the comparison, but you did a great job with what the pedal does on it's own. If I played more rockin' songs from The Who, this would be a must buy. Peace, ChrisG

No. Jimmy was using the Tone Bender on this tune, but probably used this thing on a lot of other stuff!
Almost a tweed sounding pedal on certain things. Thank God it works well using your volume knob. Most pedals that model a vintage sound crashes as you turn down because the chip that they sound was burnt to wants to see full impedance input from the guitar. Line 6 is a classic example of turning down the volume knob and losing all articulation and the amp / pedal becomes spitty and nasal….. I love this pedal!!! Everyone who demos this has sold me on it.

B bender bends the string by pulling guitar strap, not pressing anything

Just on 1 with the boost sounds very Rolling Stones with the nice reverb on the Blues Jr.

What’s the difference between this and the Roebuck? Looks like Roebuck is an update of Breakdown....
Del Rei Rock Roebuck is a clone of the Ibanez mostortion from late 80’s early 90’s it’s a distortion whereby the breakdown is a boost/drive albeit it gets into dist/fuzz ness in mode 5-6

If I need an overdrive tone I would use an overdrive pedal. I see no reason to hace a knob with "clean" for boost my guitar signal and "overdrive" for dirty sound.

Danelectro's style with their products was always old school, so they get a pass. A Boss relic would suck
If you want a pedal with the paint worn off of it - go play 2500 gigs with it.
it's just a graphic design touch, it's not relic'd per se.
