I love my Hennessy deep jungle zip! Used it on a week long bikepacking trip and then on other shorter ones and hammock camping will be it, no waking with back aches. Just have to figure out much colder weather camping.
Just ordered the Deep Jungle. Ive used a vanilla ENO w bugnet for many years and decided to finally get an integrated bugnet. I have enough mosquito bites on the back to know to order a double layer bottom! Also no more sliding and bunching sleeping pad. Im excited. Thanks for the review.
What was Henessey thinking when they came up with such a complicated tree strap system? It is no wonder everyone I know with the deep jungle hammock has gone with a much lighter, less-fiddly system to hang. Also of concern...it appears this hammock may be a bit short for even a six foot user although I do not recall anyone mentioning this. before. I have yet to lay in this Hennesey so I am just guessing. On the other hand, this was a really great review, perhaps the best Henessey review on TH-cam. Thanks!
Wow! Thank you! The person that let me review it is about 6-3 or 6-4 and he’s very comfortable in it. Yes, that strap system sucks and the owner has since changed it out
I have the Blackbird XLC. I haven’t slept in the Hennesey, but just laying in it for a while it’s very comfortable and similar to the Blackbird. I like my suspension set-up better on the Blackbird, but that could be changed on the Hennesey. You’d lose the shelf in the Hennesey. It’s a tough choice. They’re both great.

Thanks for the vid!
Just did a video about cold weather camping in a hammock

To the point with good knot tips but not extreme detail. I enjoyed it. Great job, man!
Thanks!
I just pulled the trigger on one; fed up of waking up stiff sleeping on camping beds.
Went back to the ground for a recent AT hike and it was miserable. Never again if I can avoid it. I’m sure you’ll love it.

Real nice review. Makes me want to try hammock camping.
You’ll never want to go “back to ground.” 😀 Especially for us more “veteran” campers. 😜
Nice looking hammock!
Awesome instructional video! Looks like a great hammock
A tip : you can watch movies at KaldroStream. Me and my gf have been using it for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Garrett Bowen Yea, have been using kaldroStream for years myself =)
@Garrett Bowen Definitely, I have been watching on kaldrostream for years myself :)
Excellent demonstration.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the review. I like the hammock. Do you know if they make one for big boys 300 plus pounds
There's a few hammock options for bigger guys. Not sure if Henessey has one or not.
Which Warbonnet do you have? I’m debating between the Blackbird and the Hennessy Deep Jungle. Thoughts on how they compare?

What underquilt are you using?
This was a friends hammock that he let me try out. He uses the ENO Ember underquilt with it.
Is there a possibility to use T - Straps ?
There’s lots of mods you can make to the suspension. This friend actually switched it out to straps and buckles.
@@TheRealOutdoors are there already Loops on the Hammock that I could use them ?
Wish the straps and lines were more user friendly like other models
Agree. My friend that owns this one has switched them out to make them more user friendly
I don't suppose you do any videos teaching those handy camping knots? I can barely tie my shoes... 😅
🤣🤣 I haven’t but I can. I really only use 3 knots. Two half hitch, timber hitch, and a slip knot
