Powerful stuff....been trying to look for logic pro x tutorials for audio production, mixing and mastering and finally i have landed on this channel..thanks alot Musictech
Jono, whenever I get overwhelmed with so much information and so many videos out there, I look for you to explain in your precise way. Keep up the GREAT work. You are a huge help!!!!
I could almost understand what you were saying which makes this one of the best videos on here, but i could see how you got rid of drums what if i wanted to add a drum or cymbal? Thank you.
What do you mean? You can use heavy compression to pull up the quiet parts, or use reverb to add space and make drums sound bigger. We'll try and explain in a future video! Subscribe so you don't miss it.
@@PavanSibal you can also use the same midi but put your own drum samples on top either by using the ex24 sampler or just matching the audio up with midi underneath
Thank you sincerely for this highly instructive video. I'm a 'Cubaser' since the Atari ST1040 fell to earth. Recently, I defected from Windows to Mac and a friend convinced me to try Logic: Until a couple of minutes ago, I didn't think very highly of those 'orange drumloops' you couldn't do very much with, imho Then some guy on youtube comes telling they can be converted to midi tracks :-). You made my day. Keep up the good work! PS: What's the point? I mean - there surely must be some technical reason, only I don't see it - why didn't they go the 'NI Kontakt way': starting from midi files that control samples? Why render a waveform originating from chops, to chop it up again?? Or am I really missing something here?
I have a piano track and a bass track, both follow the tempo perfectly of the project but when I add a drummer, the drummer is off and I can figure why , any tips? thanks
Aside from the per note method, is there a way to direct the dynamics of the drummer? For example, intro with only hi-hat, drum fill in transition from verse to chorus, drum solo in the bridge with just toms?
@@CRASS2047 Yes you can.... You can chop the whole region into a number of smaller regions and work on each region individually. Like for the intro, you may not want the kick and snare right at the top, just the hi hats. Just click on the graphical representation of the drum kit to mute or unmet the parts. So if you click on the kick for the intro region, it gets muted. You can select it again for the next region so that it starts playing and so on.
I love the Logic Drummer tool, it is incredibly powerful. One thing you may be able to help me with...I can't seem to start a new region of drummer on a HALF bar...eg, if I have a gap in the drums say from bar 55 to half way thru bar 56, (six beats ie one and a half bars), drummer always wants to start beat 3 of bar 56 with a drum fill coming into bar 57!! I want the new region to start on beat 3 of bar 56! Any ideas how I can stop this happening? What am I missing?!
These tutorials are honestly the best of the best, they’re just clear, concise and straight to the point

Awesome! Thanks so much!

Just create a new software instrument track, drag the drummer region down and it automatically converts to midi.

You can do all those things.

I always wondered was a real drummer ever involved in these beats for are they really just programmed?
I never cared for this drum approach. It doesn’t sound very real, hard to control and takes a lot to break it out into actual midi.
