Another cool feature of logic drummers , is if you create arrangement markers using the arrangement tab thing, its creates verse/chorus markers etc, then when you load logic drummers it created different songs parts for you. just thought I'd mention it.
@@stestetsonmusic I forget about it too , your video just reminded me , there's are so many functions in logic that you kind of forget to use them lol , Steven Slate is bringing out a AI drummer as update to his drums soon too , might be worth be checking out. kind of like Ezdrummers band mate
Hmmm... I've been doing this for years 🤔 I had to create an EZDrummer mapping custom to logic to make it work properly as some things are not where they're supposed to be.
Mine seems to be mapping perfectly it seems And as I said in the video always been able to do this just in the track header now I hadn’t update the last previous update and I couldn’t do it this way after seeing someone else do it, I updated it and all of a sudden I could
You could do a for a while, I haven't got the last two logic update. but I do that , next to the beat preset that circle click that and tick two option in there to can't remember the words , but you choose to keep pattern and get new drummer or keep drummer and pattern when picking new kit, then you just load up any drums you want.
@@stestetsonmusic I don't have the update so I can't check it out , but interesting for sure, Another thing I do a lot is use steven slate trigger to replace logics kick and snare works really well too.
Beware high hat mapping. Logic uses articulation values that don't translate to midi notes perfectly. I wish Logic would just use notes! Other than hat articulation this works great thanks for the vid.
I use Scripter for this issue. One I put together awhile back translates articulation id’s to midi notes. Worked well. I then started writing one that translates articulation id’s to CC4 values, but never finished it.
I don’t know the date it was released as an update as I mostly use studio one 6 but since the last time I used it I updated to the latest version and this was part of it along with the new mastering plugin they now offer
sweet! I like the drummer feature but their sounds always bugged me so this is rad!
Yh it’s a great tool especially if you don’t play

Yes I have used this once or twice before not sure why I don’t use it more often good point.
I’ll be doing that from now on too

@@onoesmurlocs hmm that could be very interesting I like slates drums
This is awesome, so glad I clicked on the vid! I use both logic and EZ drummer so great to know this is possible. Thanks!
No problem soon as I realized it could be done I was super excited
Nice! I found this recently and the groove track! I recognize those Forest tracks those are some great sounds.
Yeh this samples are great
I saw this on my Logic the oder day and thought it´s a mistake on Logic :D really cool upgrade!! Thanks
No probs if u using it with 16 outputs it’s even better

Really cool. Were you able to get the percussion in Logic Drummer to map properly into EZD? For me, the shaker was a snare, etc...
Yes you have to change the key configuration. Maybe I’ll do another video on that
@@stestetsonmusicplease do make that video! Change key configuration in ez drummer or drummer?
@@DirkParker Yh no problem that not a bad idea I’ll have a look
Nice update, well presented :)
Thank you
Pretty cool. As you say, you could always midi convert, then move to a track with toontrack drums, but this skips the extra fiddling and faffing. 👍🏻
I love any small update that saves me time
Can you load kontakt drum
Libraries too?
Yes you can that’s how I actually first used is only one that’s an issue is ssd drummer you have to set the keys up to match logic

I hadn’t done that either to be fair but fact it’s right in the track head now is great !
Any small feature that speeds up work flow I’m all down for

@@onoesmurlocs Yh if you use the producer kits it’s cool to be able to just change one individual piece
thanks very good video
do you think GarageBand will be able to do the same?
Hmmm good question not sure would have to check

Agreed I only really use it for the song writing phase if I was to release as sing I’d get a drummer in or use an electric kit
