The Portuguese history is cool, but what impresses me most is how you guys make a great cool video out of any moment captured on camera. Really professional. ❤
Truly appreciate your videos Jeff. Keep up the great work. Sharing your experiences with us makes me want to learn more about our Portuguese culture. We’ll be in Madeira next month and we can’t wait for our tour with Hit the Road Madeira!
Hey Jon! Sorry for the delay !! Yeah thanx hey, you’re gonna love the tour you’ll see and I hope we can bring much more great content to you ;)) Stick around, loads of great Madeira content coming 🤠
Hey Jeff and André. Great video once more! Congrats. About the carapuças, I also heard that story from 2 different people, although it doesn't seem to be written anywhere (at least haven't found so far). I've also heard they would curl the thingy in the top where you put the ring so they wouldn't lose it while working.
Thanks Jeff & André 🙂 It was great to see Steve again & I'm truly honoured that he was featured in two of my vlogs from earlier this year! It's hard to believe that what appears to be a small insignificant island in the middle of nowhere has such a huge influence in the most powerful country in the world! I still find myself educating & informing people in Ireland of this great place called Madeira as most have never heard of it, yet they fly over it en route to the Canaries! Have a great September & I look forward to seeing you soon my friend 🤗
Im watching this and once again saying too bad we didn’t travel east from Newport last November. And my wife has to remind me “you’re on Madeira now.” True. But this was fascinating- I had heard California had the only large Madeiran expat community. But obviously, that’s not the case. We are living up the hill from what we believe is an orphanage in Tabua - and I wonder how many kids from there benefited or will benefit from the scholarships. 😊
I’m from East Providence, I had no idea what the history of the feast in New Bedford was all about…what a wonderful community ❤
Wow amazing :)) so glad to hear we’re making an impact with our videos :))
Thank you Liz! Stick around, there’s some more great videos coming 🤠
