Matt has a podcast called Single Handed. Excellent, swears like a sailor. Matt Rutherford is the real deal, a modern day sailor with grit and determination in all aspects of his life.
I just watch the movie of him. Very inspiring. It’s a great achievement especially for a sailor with such little experience. But when he said that it the first at circumnavigate America without stop I think is not true as he need support from the boat like for the water tools that someone bring to him. Using help from people that bring food or tools is like stop in an harbour and provide this stuff alone. I mean still an incredible achievement but no stop mean no help from outside for me.
It was single handed non-stop. Fact. It was not non-assisted because of a water maker that broke. Someone met him in the ocean and tossed the water maker to him. He was always a vessel underway for the entire trip!

Matt is so matter of fact about a trip that would destroy most people in a week.He just does it,and survives. Amazing.
